Hey, just reading away and I have this answer. It says solo task.. Sony put this in for a lvl 100 moloing pro or for a group of guys that are helping leveling a friend. It is ment for one person to get a boost in there xp because its sometimes slow going xp or power leveling extras!!
Last when you feed the eyes and you all want the turn in all you do is disband the guy starting turn in and have him reinvited! As he does turn in fight starts and then you must repeat that with everyone ( tank or pet ready???)... It does take longer but not longer then a redo and your still getting xp as you grind out more drops lol. So 6 eyes for every person and disband each person on Hand in!

Btw I gave away a secret to a hundreds of other missions and SOLO tasks I've heard are bugged from my fellow boxers solo means one if u luck out and find a solo that does a group then Sony will find it! ;-)

This is a solo task that begins with Vex Derex Lux (map) at location 800, 935, 31 (in the dervish room west of the palace entry room: findable with CTRL+F). Pre-Requisites: - Level 85 - No task requirements You say, 'Hail, Vex Derex Lux' Vex Derex Lux billows threateningly, 'You are either [brave] or [foolish] to dare approach me. Tell me, which is it?' You say, 'I am brave, of course!' Vex Derex Lux lets loose a laugh like a maelstrom of angry steam, 'Hah! A fool will think themselves brave when they do not know the danger they face! Now I will teach you-' It stops, suddenly growing calm, then continues in a gentle, breezy tone, '-anything I can that may help you in your journey. Alas! For myself, I am [beyond help].' so for all of you that tried to turn in the eyes and it didn't work. here is what happened to me. I got one set turned in and finished then tried on my box and all attempts to turn in failed. I deleted my fragment and the hailed the quest giver and he gave me another fragment. the fragment did not work on anything and all attempts to turn in eyes failed. At that point I dropped the task and was just going to redo. when I hailed the questgiver I got the 4 aa and the checkmark in the box. hey whatever works
Take Care about having more members in the Group.
1. get the Quest and the "FRAGMENT"
2. kill for the 6 EYES
3. use FRAGMENT on "an essence of Xin Va" (Fragment of everybody in group disappears)
4. give 6 eyes (anyone in the group, only one person can give it)
5. EVERYBODY HAILS the mob (updates the turnin-step of the 6 eyes AND the Hail-Part)
6. kill him -> everybody gets the update
7. Hail the Vex Derex Lux -> EVERYBODY gets whole quest
That is the status now. As long as SoE does not change these strange behavior, this should work for now. After loosing the fragments you can get them again if you talk to Derex with "shared?" but it has no use because the update steps are gone for that part. We managed to get one guy through the quest again (deleteing quest, killing 6 mobs) and then at the crucial part ALL hailed and got the update and it worked. Have fun with this buggy master piece of missprogramming....

Quest has some odds:
After looting all 6 eyes you must use the Fragment you got from Derex first, then Hail, then Turnin, then the named spawns. Tried different ways, that part is a bit tricky.

feeding the Eyes to "an essence of xin va":
- I have no need for this "xxx", you can have it back.

You get the quest from Vex Derex Lux as stated above target an essence of xin va and click it then hail it feed it all six at one time, then be ready to fight. Hail it again and the fight begins it cons yellow at lvl 100 kill it and report back to Vex Derex Lux. All done.

I am stuck on the step - force feed eyes; anyone figure out who that goes to?

After you click the Fragment of Vex Derex Lux on an essence of xin va it turns into the sentient essence of xin va. That is who you feed the 4 Eye of Xin Va to. Then hail it, and get ready to fight.
