Errrak Thickshank is at location -360, 2215 in Toxxulia Forest.

    You say, 'Hail, Errrak Thickshank'

Errrak Thickshank says 'What? What do you want, furless? My tseq, Graalf, lies sick and you waste time with talk when you [cannot help].'

    You say, 'I cannot help?'

Errrak Thickshank says 'The shamans, they have said I need [talismans] to ward the sickness from Graalf.'

    You say, 'What talismans?'

Errrak Thickshank says 'Errr? You wish to help? We will see. I need a tiger's skin, from a tigerrr not of ourrr village, for its brave spirit, an aviaks charm, and a giant snake fang for the poison that can be made into an antidote. If you truly intend to help, then good speed and hurry!'

Bring her a giant snake fang (from various giant snakes), an Aviak Charm (from aviaks in SK), and a Tiger Skin (easiest one to camp is in Ak'Anon zoo) not from Kerra Isle. Your reward is a Bone Talisman, which goes in the off hand.

Errrak Thickshank says 'I cannot believe. Thank you. Please, take this talisman. I bought from wandering shaman but it no help Graalf, maybe it help you. Now please go, Errrak must see if this will help Graalf.'
Your faction standing with Kerra Isle has been adjusted by 5.
    You gain experience!!

Hi guys I just started playing again now that the Aradune server is live, and I've been doing all Kerra Island quests, but this one eludes me. I've been killing all types of tigers and had no luck getting a skin, I even went to the Ak'Anon zoo and killed their tiger to see if it had a pelt, but no luck so far. Did this quest even exist in 1999 or did they add it during the Kunark era? It's really baffling.

This quest entry was done in June of 2000 which actually would be Kunark. However I think the quest reward looks a little too nice for a Kunark quest. The Tiger Skin also is used in a recipe for a Velious recipe so I think this might have been originally a Kunark quest but the reward and quest items needed changed in Velious. I'm not sure.

Lots of Tiger Skins drop in Stonebrunt Mountains on Odus...PoK portal to Toxx (Paineel book), thru Paineel entrance and thru Newbie Gardens, thru the Warrens (have a map for sure)to NE corner of Stonebrunt. Worth the trip though...
    dont waste your time.

just wanted to let you all know you can get giant snake fangs from the local kerra isle snakes they are bout lv 10-14 and they are quite easy to kill that will speed the quest up a little bit.but the Tiger Skin takes FOREVER (at least for me) and the aviak charm is not very time consuming so it should be less than 4 hours.

    KoS, quest impossible?
    # Mar 28 2002 at 11:39 AM Rating: Decent
I hunted on Kerra Isle for about 5 levels. The 20% experience bonus there was just too good to pass up. Obviously the Kerrans don't think very highly of me for this reason.

Problem: I would like to complete this quest and the Paw of Opolla quest which involves turning in MOB dropped items to a Kerran Merchant in exchange for quest related items. Does anyone if it is possible to complete this quest with KOS faction? I realize that I may just be out of luck on this issue and, if so I have no regrets (gained 5 levels there in a week), but just thought I'd see if anyone knows a way around the faction issue before I give up on the quest.

You might be able to do this quest if you can sneak to get behind the quest NPC for the turn in, but it would be risky.

As for the Paw quest, yes, that one can be done, though you may need a little help to lull or harmony the other NPCs in the quest giver's hut out on Kerra Isle so you can do the turn ins and then make a run for it. The quest giver is on another faction as I recall.

managed to get this for my level 17 cleric today, I had several tiger skins in my bank from when I had used the akanon tiger to level through 8 - 10 before going onto the skells. it took me about 5 minutes sitting in SK before someone shouted that there was a charm on a corpse at xxx, xxx. then on my way through to Qeynos I dropped into BB, killed a few snakes, that actually took the longest to get at about 15 mins. off to Kerra isle, all indiff to me, find NPC, hand in, bada-bing-bada-boom, nice new off hand item.

it's a damn good quest if only because it's easy to complete, much easier for a casual player to complete than the Testament of Vanear for certain.

up till now I've had a skull of Jhen'tra 3 magic 20 mana, nice little upgrade for me with 4 wis (about 30 mana at my level) and 10 magic save.

Well I am glad someone is lucky with the tiger skins. I killed it 16 times in a row today & NO SKIN. Since you have had much better luck than me, any suggestions?

OK for anyone interested....The tigers in Stonebrunt drop these skins though they are 30+ Im sure a friend or PC in the area could get you one. They are quite common.

You have to be better in faction with Errak than dubious to do the quest. I was dubious to her, handed in my three items and all I got was the dreaded "I will do nothing to aid the likes of you" message and, of course, lost my 3 items.

I did this quest as a 24th rank druid. Errak conned indifferent to me and he completed the quest by giving me the talisman.

Quest was alot of fun. The tiger skin takes patience. Took almost an hour for the skin to drop off one. The giant snake fang was gotten in Black burrow in less than a half hour. The toughest item was the aviak charm. The aviak avocets at the aviak city drop it and they conned red to me. Had the assistance of a mate to complete this. He was doing the quest also, we got one on the second avocet and now after two days and about two hours of play time have not gotten another one. He decided to let me complete the quest first. We will be back there tomorrow to complete it for him.

I did this quest at the 24th druid rank. The guards did not aggro on me, even after I had killed about ten tigers hoping for the precious tiger skin drop.

Just sit in the corner of the cage without walls that holds the tiger.

Have fun..this was a nice quest.

I must be missing something here. I go to the zoo in Aknon and I see 3 cages total. One is consistantly empty, one spawns bear, and the last lesser minotaur. Where is the tiger(s)? Did they realize how this one was being accomplished and nerf it? Also, if I tried to go to Stonebrunt then I have to pass entirely through the Warrens and tons of mobs. As a wiz, I have invis, but it doesn't work very well. Often I reappear after get a min. or 2 just running thru-not doing anything else that would cause me to appear. Can anyone help me plz?

Above it says that the minimum lvl is 20. I am lvl 15. Does that mean that if I give the needed items I will not receive the tailsman, or that it will not proc for me until I hit lvl 20?

You can save yourself a long trek by going into Stoneburnt Mountains off of the Warrens to get your Tiger Skin. There are now cats there that will drop tiger skins.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 09 2001 at 10:34 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You didn't mention which cats drop the tiger skins. Can you please reply with more details?

PvP doesn't blow, it's the players
    # Aug 27 2001 at 5:45 AM Rating: Default
PvP would be cool if people actually role-played as those servers were intended for. But no, it's just a bunch of people that see something they like and PK if they're higher-level and take it. Then they get this half-assed notion that they're totally hardcore for playing on that server. I saw someone that started a character on the 'care-bear' server, tried to talk smack about it in EC, got ripped down by everyone in the zone and probably went to go cry because they've realized that their only thrill in life is to play EverQuest on a PvP server. Go race a car, bungi-jump, sky-dive, go immitate JackAss (really, I meant the last one)... there is life beyond EQ........

um? PK a hand item? I hope you just got lost in a pointless rant. Why the hell are you whining about PvP on the screen about the Bone Talisman quest.
