Killed 100 in less than 10 minutes respawns are fast, still dubious faction.

The skeletal hunter mobs in Shadeweaver's Thicket counts towards this achievement. Also, there is a good camp for these mobs in the NE part of the zone. Kill the hunters and also the lesser shades located there.

I got the achievement right after killing "a sun revenant" in the Scarlet Desert, not exactly a kitty ... And no, I wasn't fighting a cheetah at the same time.

Killing sun revenants and cheetahs in Scarlet Desert no longer works. They do not cout towards the Moonkitty kills at all. But killing Vah Shir skeletons does count ! I tried it on those in Acrylia Caverns. There are also some mini Vah Shir skeletons at the Shar Vahl newbie areas in Hollowshade Moors or Shadweavers Thicket that should work.

Confirmed: Killing the "a skeletal minion" mobs in Acrylia Caverns does update Moonkitty. There are 11 in the room past the gate going towards the sacrifice/blood pool room

Scarlet Cheetah
# Oct 20 2016 at 9:03 PM Rating: Decent
While running through Scarlet Desert I hit a scarlet cheetah with an arrow killing it and finishing both achievements "Moonkitty" and "Got your Tongue?" Which is fantastic for people that don't want to lose faction with Vah Shir or don't want to kill a few at a time in PC or doing the Grimling Forest event, as they are plentiful and on a fairly short re spawn timer. They do however, wander the zone.

I did make sure and check and they do NOT count towards "Not a Kerran the World!", "I'm a people person!", or "Doesn't play well with others".

Best location I could find was Grimling Forest. Fast respawns, low hp, and no faction hits.
* About 15 at fort in SE corner
* About 40 at fort in NE corner
* Don't kill the 2 Vah Shir on the bridge near SE fort. Those both have faction.

Can complete the achievement in about 20 min. If bored, clear the bandit camps in the zone for Ogre, Troll, and some other miscellaneous races.

This is indeed the best zone as you specified Brew. I just don't want people to get their hopes up with that NE camp you mentioned. I believe the only time there will be a huge amount of Vah Shir mobs at that camp is when someone has completed the tasks assisting the Vah Shir from the SE fort. I believe it involves hailing and following some of the veterans and scouts at the SE camp to grimling camps to clear them and finish some minor objective. These tasks were mostly only done for the Beastlord 1.0 IIRC, to obtain the medal of war.

Long story short, if nobody has completed those tasks I dont think that the ~40 or so Vah Shir will be up at the NE corner, so you'll have to stick to the SE Fort, which by all means isn't a slow camp, by the time you kill them all, you have about a minute or 2 to rest then they spawn again, should take about an hour to get this achievement that way. Hope this helps a little more.

Shadeweaver's Thicket is most definitely the best place for this. Look for the tents on the Right hand side of map or to the south east corner of the zone. Respawn times are fast and make this an easy achievement.

The best way to do this without faction concerns, is either in Devastation or Gunthak.

They are few and far between in gunthak but easy.

They are less rare in Devastation, but you need to be adept at controlling the war... trainign one set of MOB's into another, particularly the giants, as they summon and stun.
