This is a kill task that begins with Master Hunter Jilare (map in Shard's Landing. She is found at 245, 20, 1 (in the crater, southwest of the crystal shard). Pre-Requisites: - Level 85 - Completed "Welcome to Shard's Landing" You say, 'Hail, Master Hunter Jilare' Master Hunter Jilare sighs, 'Well I guess the management sees fit to keep you around here but I work 'with' them and not 'for' them. You're going to have to prove yourself to 'me'. I have a list of errands that need completing if you're ready to get to [work].' You say, 'What work?' Master Hunter Jilare says 'Here's what I need done. Don't go getting yourself killed on the job.' A task window pops up and offers nine tasks. You have been assigned the task 'The Wyvern Grow Restless'. Master Hunter Jilare needs you to take out a few of the aggressive wyverns that have made their way into Shard's Landing as they are beginning to threaten the lives of the recruits. As a bonus, Irdus Tindlefoot is able to make a delicious meal from their flesh. Seek out an encampment of wyverns and put a few of them down. went back and did the wyverns task till I was 14/ 15 kills. then did another task which brought me up to 2883 / 7000 on my rogue. then went back and killed 1 plainsdweller wyvern to complete this task and got to 2935 / 7000. total faction increase of 52 points. 50 for the task and 2 for the wyvern kill - just double checking everything
on doub le faction day ( 12/18/2013) I started at 3754 points ( previous task showed me that) once I Was done with this 15 kill task I was at 3918. 164 points on dbl faction so 82 points normally.
interesting stuff. this time I started at 4368 and when task was done I had 4540. that's 172 but was doubled still so 86. I am thinking guardians are worth more to kill than regular plainsdwellers. I killed 3 guardians this time and 1 last time. so guardians are worth 2 points more than regular mobs ( remember its double faction today hence the 8 pt difference instead of 4).
edit: to 4708 next task without killing any guardians. that's 168 points. bit I killed 4 iceclaw wyverns this time instead of all plainsdwellers. so it seems iceclaws are worth 1 point more than regular and 1 less than guardians.
edit: had a good idea. the next day (non dbl faction) I got this task, killed 14 mobs, then got another task. did it. got my total points to 5144. then went back and killed 1 plainsdweller to complete this task. went from 5144 to 5248. 104 points. which makes no sense to me at all. unless, like I figured out on worntooth task, double faction was still in effect. then it all works out. The task is worth 50 and a plainsdweller worth 2. and that puts guardian worth 4. ta-dah
edit 5350 to 5526 next task. killing 11 normal and 4 guardians. 100+ 44 + 32 = 176 on the nose.
another edit. got cobalt then got task. then killed 12 normal and 3 guardians. I went from 6006 to 6378. subtracting the 172 for the task and mobs I get 200 for cobalt. but that's double faction so normally worth just 100.
