You say, 'Hail, Reebo Leafsway'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Greetings and salutations, Rootless! My name is Reebo Leafsway, loyal Druid of [Karana]. I am in charge of helping young druids who wish to get started down the [trail to Karana's wisdom]. I also do my share of tending the [crops].'

You say, 'What crops?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'The crops we grow here are mostly carrots, lettuce and squash. We also are the only place on all of Norrath where the soil can support the mystical Jumjum Stalk.'

You say, 'What about Nillipuss?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Nillipuss? Oh that dirty brownie keeps stealing our jumjum for his own greedy uses. We certainly would not mind if someone taught him a painful [lesson].'

You say, 'What lesson?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'He needs to be taught not to steal our jumjum! If you find some jumjum on him, I would appreciate it if you would return it to me.'

Nillipus is approximately level 15 and likes to run around the main roundabout in town around Fool's Gold and down the passage by Meeka Diggs.

Nillipuss shouts 'Nillipuss, Nillipuss is my name. Stealing jumjum is my game. Think you can catch me? Let's see if you can! I'll always run faster than you ever ran.'

Attack him and kill him.

Nillipuss says 'Caught me you did but what will you do when I crush you and eat you in my jumjum stalk stew?'

You may need to kill him four times for the four Jumjum Stalks. Bring the four items to Reebo:

Reebo Leafsway says 'Oh good! I see you have taught that nasty Nillipuss a thing or two! Good. But it seems to me that he has stolen more jumjum than this. Perhaps he needs another lesson?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Excellent!! You must have taught ol' Nillipuss a great deal! But he never seems to learn.. Oh well. The Stormreapers and all of Rivervale owe you a debt of gratitude. Please accept this token of our appreciation.'

Your faction standing with Storm Reapers has been adjusted by 10.
Your faction standing with Mayor Gubbin has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with Merchants of Rivervale has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with Unkempt Druids has been adjusted by -1.
You gain experience!!
You receive 15 silver from Reebo Leafsway.

You may also receive one of several items (listed below).

Nillipus is not only dropping his brains these days, but a TORN LIMB as well. Any thoughts as to usage on the Limb?
Jum Jum same but different

I saw Nilli on track so I went and bought 4 jum jum stalks. I then ran in front of him dropping them on the ground. He picked them up, then I executed the little trouble maker. He has an annoying damage shield, just for the record. He dropped two jum jum stalks (must have ate the other two). They look exactly like the ones in the garden and the ones you can buy from the vendor near the garden, however; They ARE NOT the same. If you buy, or pick some from the garden they will not stack with the looted ones. Don't confuse them or you will get nothing for your quest. Also, I have killed Nilli a couple of times, but this time he also dropped his brain!? So know I have a brownie brain in the bank, hmmmm, wonder what that's all about )

Brownie brains are needed for low level Gnome caster quest armor.

I have killed Nillipuss many times, and just received my Traveler's 'Pack. When he spawns, he starts bragging about how fast he is. He then starts to make his rounds. He is not that fast. When he gets to the Druid Farm, if there is a sack of Jum Jum on the ground, he steals it.

What I do is find him as soon as he "announces" that he's spawned and follow him to the farm. While he goes through the hut, I check to see if the sack is on the ground. If it is, I wait for him to pick it up,(I've never tried to "drop" the Jum Jum for him), and I kill him. If the sack is not there, I follow him around the town again, and wait 'til it does drop, then kill him,(if you don't follow him, someone else will kill him while you wait for his return).

Also, the number of stalks that you give Reebo are aggregated. You can give him one at a time, and after four, you will be rewarded. It also helps if you have a "main" inventory slot open. I've been blanked before when all slots were filled, but never when one is open.

regarding the 2 given to you, are you sure they were looted from nillipus or were they picked up in the garden. if you give him the ones in the garden, you get nada. give him 4 of the ones from the brownie and you get exp and an item. could be that you got exp for the 2 you looted, and not from the ones that were given to you.

Can you just give the JumJum from the garden?
RE: Garden
# May 20 2002 at 3:03 AM Rating: Decent
I was told that it will only work if you hand him 4 stalks that you looted from the brownies body.

The Jumjum in the garden is the stuff that Nillipuss steals. He also runs really fast.

not really when I was a level 5 druid I would run the bugger down if I crossed him, only attack when I had backup though of corse

I once saw a guard kill him (the on back by the bard), but I think that may have been a bug. Has anyone else seen that
maybe...

I've tried this quest once, got nothing but xp, coin, faction, but two of the 4 stalks were given to me. Perhaps all 4 must come directly from nillipuss's body? or perhaps that's silly and the established slot machine theory is correct.

Trick to get him to drop Jumjum

I am not sure if it is mentioned in here but in case it is not. Nillipuss does not always drop Jumjum when you kill him. If you want to save time you can do the following...

Over in the garden where Shakey stands you will often see a bag sitting on the ground. If you pick it up it is a Jumjum stalk. Collect a few of these and when you see Nillipuss spawn just drop them one at a time in front of him. He will then pick them up. After you kill him he will then have Jumjum on him and these can then be turned in for the quest.

I generally keep four in the bank. If I see Nillipuss on track when I am in town I stop by, pick up my stack of four, then drop them and kill him. I then hand in the stack of four to do the quest.

I have done this 4 times and never gotten anything besides faction, tiny bit of XP and coin and my faction is Warmly with Rebo.

Depending on whom you talk to, Nillipus is either on a three-hour or two-hour spawn. I have never had the time to sit in Rivervale and time it, but it at least appears to be somewhere in the neighborhood of three hours.

Several people on the last page here say that they have timed his spawn time and that it is definitely two hours.

I was in RV a few weeks ago and i saw someone kill him and he spawned very quickly it was like 20 min so I guess it may be random...
P.S. maybe to get the jumjum stalks you can trade them to him I've done it with other creatures...

I've done this quest about 10 times (really). Tried several times each with level 45, 17 and 3 characters. Never get anything except faction, exp and coin. FYI, at level 3 it gives nearly a whole yellow bubble of exp. :-)

Anyone get any of the items lately?

I've done this quest twice and have never received anything for it! I've always made sure to have an open slot in my main inventory, but still haven't gotten anything. =(

That has been my rotten luck on this one three different times... just some coin, faction, and experience. The other times I have done the quest I got things like Runner's Ring or Earring of Magic Reflection, but never anything that I found particularly useful for my Druid.

This quest is sort of like playing a slot machine: Put in your coins and pull the lever on the side and watch to see what drops out the bottom. Sometimes, there is a bunch of noise, some lights flashing, but not a thing comes out. Other times, you get some nice little something. So, you play again to see if you can get the bigger payoff.

/shrugs

I do not do this quest with my Druid anymore. If I kill him at all (for old time's sake, you understand) , I /shout out that he is down and let someone else loot the jumjum stalks.

I did it today and received an Eye of Disvane. I'm told that it's a research item. I'm a lvl 22 Halfling Rogue and have no use for it. Anybody want to expand on this items use? I did make sure to have an open main inventory slot. I will continue to do this quest as I spend a fair amount of time in Rivervale, honing my skills.

I've been waiting for the little bugger to show up, but he never seems to spawn. I tried reasking Reebo about him, but that didn't work either. Please help.

Hail Reebo and say

"Who is Nillipuss"

That gets the ball rolling, otherwise he doesn't talk about it.
nillipus jumjum drop sequence
# Sep 18 2001 at 12:39 AM Rating: Good
After nillipus spawns follow him, when he runs by farm he picks up any jumjum stalk thats on the ground there, I picked up to from the field and dropped them infront of him, he picked them up and sure as **** he had two on him. so if you see him pop just follow him till he walks past the farm and picks up as many stalks as you need to complete the quest..
RE: nillipus jumjum drop sequence
# Oct 13 2001 at 11:05 PM Rating: Decent
Just buy some jumjum from Reebo's wife and drop it on the groud. When you see him pick it up, kill him.
RE: nillipus jumjum drop sequence
# Apr 08 2002 at 11:07 PM Rating: Default
Is this dropped Jumjum different than what you loot from Nillipuss? I assume so, since two people probably wouldn't be suggesting this otherwise, but you never know. :)

Otherwise, why not just hand in the Jumjum? :P

When he spawn he pops right in front of the new character spawn, back by the inn. He then immediately takes off out into the main section of towm. I've seen him do this a couple times.
Disappointment
# Sep 11 2001 at 9:07 AM Rating: Default
This quest bites the big jumjum. I managed to kill nillipuss three times, the first two times with healer's help. The last time I fought him to near death, I'm only 17th level myself and he's rumored to be 17 also, but I won. Then, still in my post-victory high, I headed off to Reebo, and the little b*st*rd stiffed me!!! I hope this kind of disappointment continues! It will make it all the easier to quit this annoying habit of paying sony and verant every month.
