I am 105 SK. I have gotten the first two versions of this item so far. The effect does not stack with my Staunch Stance Rk. III (Self-only HP buff). I clicked off Staunch Stance from my buff window, and was able to cast. I was even able to keep the buff I have from my familiar, even though it lists the category for Ancient Faycite Resonance Barrier as "Summon Familiar". So, needless to say, you can use this with a familiar. I would say this still a really good item for any class that isn't a knight.
