Marshal Anrey may be found on the second floor of the bank in a nook in the southwest corner, at 100, -135, 40.
You say, 'Hail, Marshal Anrey' Marshal Anrey says 'Stand at attention!! You don't look fit enough to toe-wrestle my grandma!! You cannot be in my squad!! Are you [petitioning] or are you a [visitor]?' You say, 'I am a visitor.' Marshal Anrey says 'Well, why didn't you say so?! Forgive me for hollering. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Marshal Anrey Leadladle, commander of the [Leatherfoot Raiders].' You say, 'I am petitioning.' Marshal Anrey says 'So you want to be a [Leatherfoot Raider]? What kind of joke is this? Look at you! You're a mess! Where are you [from]?' You say, 'Who are the Leatherfoot Raiders?' Marshal Anrey says 'You must be a visitor. The Leatherfoot Raiders are the elite force of the Guardians of the Vale. I command them. It is good to meet an outsider.' You say, 'I am from Rivervale.' Marshal Anrey says 'So you're from Rivervale?!! You must be some kind of freak. No halfling from Rivervale would look, smell and act anything like you. Well, freak, if you think you're stout enough to be a Leatherfoot Raider, you prove it!! You travel the lands and return to me a polar bear skin, a grizzly bear skin, a shark skin and an alligator skin. Then maybe, just maybe, I will let you wear the cap of a Leatherfoot Raider.' Alligator Skin comes from alligators in Innothule Swamp. After handing Marshal Anrey the skins: Marshal Anrey says, 'So I see the young troll has become a young warrior. You have stepped up to the challenge of the Leatherfoot Raiders, you may wear the petitioner's skullcap, but to receive the true cap of the raiders, bring me the dirk of a fallen Neriak dragoon and the cap I have given you. Only then can I be sure that you can truly be one of the few and bold, the Leatherfoot Raiders.' Your faction standing with Guardians of the Vale has been adjusted by 25. Your faction standing with Mayor Gubbin could not possibly get any better. Your faction standing with Storm Reapers has been adjusted by 2. Your faction standing with Merchants of Rivervale has been adjusted by 2. Your faction standing with Dreadguard Outer has been adjusted by -3. You gain experience! when killing the polar bears in everfrost they drop high quality bear skins and i have not found one to drop a polar bear skin is the high quality bear skin what you are looking for

Nope, that's completly wrong. Any of the polar bears in Everfrost can drop ruined, LQ, MQ & HQ bear skins AND the Polar Bear skins. (the cubs are the easiest to kill and plentiful though) The icon in inventory for the PB skin is white, unlike the normal bear skin icon. Don't try to use a HQ skin for the quest, you'll just waste your items (not to mention a HQ skin worth 20-30pp depending on server)

I got this cap from a venerable rogue in RV bank when I was a wee-one.. I'm now a 23rd lvl Rogue and still wearing this thing. VERY nice cap to have and absolutely glad I didn't have to do the quest for it!!

At first I was near to going out of my mind after runnnig around the swamp for more than an hour and finding only one Bull aligator which had no skin. After the hour I began to kill everything I came near...except the vendor and the shady men. After this the Bull Aligators started comming..and after 15 mins the fourth came along and dropped the skin.
Also the sharkskin was gotten easily from east freeport... just dive and swim right from the docks.

Got mine today folks, am very happy with it! You trigger the quest by saying" I am from rivervale" Dont turn in the skins until he gives you the quest, or you will LOSE them. If he doesnt give you quest you need to build faction. Do this by killing gobblin warriors in Misty thicket, then turn in the runnyeye war beads to the sheriff at top of bank. I had amiable faction and had to turn in 24! Good luck all!

Gurrin Druid of the 27th season Drinal server, here is my story. I camped the innothule swamp for about 4 hours, when I first got there I killed 3 bull gators and 2 fat gators, but no drops! I killed Giant water mocasins to get more bulls to spawn , but it didnt work. So I bound myself there, checked back a few days later, before logging and sure enough a bull on track, so I kill him....nothing! Then a fat gator pops..... Woot he drops the gator skin. My advise is dont drive yourself crazy, just bind yourself there and check every now and then. Now I just need the shark skin. Good luck all!

I was looking for the alligator skin for many time, and of course dont find any (anyone knows what alli tooth is used for ??) As I was dying in guk and my group go there for CR I try one more time to get this skin with no stuff no buff ... and the first bull I kill let me show is skin (it s look like a serpent skin) so I was able to finish the quest ;)
Hope it can help. I suggest to pay a newbie in innothule to kill the bull to have better chance to loot a skin. and Giant water mocassin r for sure PH ok bull alligator.

The Innothule swamp zone has been changed. It is now like Warrens zone, where if you are too high a level stuff will not drop; the Bull Alligators will not drop the skin. I spent three days there and killed at least 50 bull's. But, I got it within 4 Bull's with someone that was approriate level to Bull Gator's. They seem to spawn most between 5-8 pm PST.

I don't mean to flame, but you are either uninformed or dumb. Verant has stated the the 'Warrens Loot Code' won't go on any of the old world zones. You probably just think that because these skins are pretty rare and can take a long time to get.

Over 60 Bulls, real time week and a half, still no skin. Actually killed the rare spawn Kobold named Jojungua and got his Skin item for Pally quest, yet the elusive Gator skin is no where to be found. What a complete waste of time. There is no real purpose to camping like this. Its just a matter of blind luck when the skin will drop. And Verant wonders why not many people bother with quests other than the usual staples like J-Boots.

So far 4 days, 15 bulls, umpteen Giant Waters, etc. Still no skin. I will say this for the quest however, I have made over 25pp so far. As a HFL rogue I can sell to the Troll SHamn Spell vendor in the middle of the swamp who is standing on that Hand. Cons indiff. So selling the giant snake fangs and the rest of the netted and magic woven stuff from Frogs and Kobolds has actually netted me a sizable chunk of change. Also, BONUS if you are a rogue....bucco Froglok Poison Glands and Snake Venom Sacs and if you are Baker ......eggs galore, which are normally hard to find and needed for any mid to high level baked items.

After all the complaining here I was really concerned about the quest. But I really wanted that hat :)

Aligator - 8 kills
Grizzly bear - about 4 billion kills (or 20), killed by griffs lots of times but got it in the end :)
Dirk - payed 50pp (couldnt be bothered waiting for a good deal)
Considered kindly to Anrey.

gave him the 4 skins, got the first hat
gave him the dirk and hat
got my shiney new hat :)
All up it cost me 7hrs, 50pp and about 3 blue bubbles of xp :)
only thing is, I wish it came in black.

This thing rocks i can't wait to give it to my halfling Rogue. Sweet crap and it is easy just long and worth like 225pp now that is something I'm gonna get a lot of.
Turning in the 4 skins results in a 4ac 10charisma cap that A LOT OF classes and races can use. As long as you don't turn it back in with a dragoon dirk this could be a handy item for many people to pop on when they visit a vendor. I did this quest for my halfling druid and noticed the useability of the first 4ac 10cha cap but turned it in with my dirk before realizing I should have jotted down the class/race list or snapped a shot. I plan on doing this quest again and I will submit a pic and post the stats on the first cap. This cap and a crude stein could yield 25 extra charisma which should put even really ugly races up to a point where vendors are reasonable when buying and selling to you.

This quest is not BROKEN! For those of you that it diddnt work for, it may have something to do with faction. I started this quest at lvl13. First I ran to Everfrost having to sneak past highpass. It took bout 1hr to get my polar bear skin in everfrost. On the way back killed my Grizzly in NK, took about 1hr there. Then i ran all the way to the swamp. Here, as soon as i zoned into the swamp, The Bull Gator was there sitting. First bull gator i killed had the skin. On my way back to town stoped at the Freeport docks and killed my shark for the skin. The shark skin is the only piece that is stackable. Went back to town, turned in the skins, got the cap. Ran back to WC and shouted my *** off for the Dragoon Dirk. Finaly i got someone to sell me one. I payed 50pp for it. I think i got burned, but thats all that the entire quest cost me so i dont mind.
There is a lot of running to do in this quest and that is what takes up most of the time. I think i got lucky on how fast i got my items. Good site seeing Quest. I liked it.
P.S. I found a locked box under the shark, anyone know what its for? I remember reading bout it on a quest but dont remember wich one.

well ok one da in my travells to najena in search of the noblemans hilt, the little injured hobbit down in the jail cell just attacked us.(my faction is ally with the hobbits, go figure)but, since he attacked us i looted an acquired a leatherfoot raider skullcap. now i was wondering if this is the same cap that is used to turn into the hobbits along with the dragoon dirk?

Don't bother with this quest if your looking for a means to teleport.

Being a 44 Ench bored of the Dread lands, having plenty of exp in Innothule from my Troll warrior, and not having played the Ranger in a while I tried this quest. First the alligator skin; The Giant water moccasin is most likely the placeholder for Bull Alligators BUT Froglock Forridgers and KoboldHunters are most likely the placeholders for these 2 mobs. (The tower skelly is the PH for a lev 30 ish Kobold, only seen him 2 times, )There are mobs that track thru the entire zone north to south, these mobs are not placeholders( all mushrooms, froglocks, swamp aligators, giant rats, lesser kobolds, Froglok fishermen). Any mobs that are exclusive to the northern third may be the PH for the Giant Water moccasin. I still havent finished this quest due to Faction, Marshal Anrey is WARMLY to me and still wont give me the quest, this Quest MAY require as high a faction as the Wall Sqwad ring.
