Priestess Caulria in the temple in North Qeynos in the Temple of Life (UFO), and requires you to look into the occurrence of rabid wolves in the area. Rabid wolves and bears are found in the Qeynos Hills and occasionally drop fleshy orbs. Return one of the orbs to Caulria:
Priestess Caulria says, 'This is odd. This could explain the increase in the number of beasts within the lands surrounding Qeynos. You must take this to Freeport. Here. You must speak with Lorme Tredore. Show him this pellet. You had best gear up for the trip. Freeport is very far away. Here is some gold. Outfit yourself at our expense.' Your faction standing with Priests of Life has been adjusted by 10. Your faction standing with Knights of Thunder has been adjusted by 3. Your faction standing with Guards of Qeynos has been adjusted by 5. Your faction standing with Bloodsabers has been adjusted by -2. Your faction standing with Antonius Bayle has been adjusted by 1. You gain experience!! You receive 3 gold from Priestess Caulria. You will receive some gold and a returned Fleshy Orb, which you need to deliver to Freeport. Lorme Tredore is in the Academy of Arcane Science (bottom floor in the revamped Freeport) and will reward you with a fine steel weapon, experience and some coin upon turning receiving the orb. Lorme Tredore says, 'Ah, thank you for bringing this to me! I will make very good use of it. Here, take this small token of my appreciation in return. Guard Jenkins will no longer require it, as he was killed on the training field yesterday. tsk tsk tsk.' You gain experience!! You receive 7 silver from Lorme Tredore. You receive 5 gold from Lorme Tredore. Targeted (NPC): Lorme Tredore (Got fine steel 2 handed sword). No faction hits. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

when he said Guard jenkins wouldn't need this, maybe it was the FS weapon.

I bet this is a clue for the next part of the quest. Guard Jenkins died for a reason most likely have you tried asking about Guard Jenkins? I bet this clue is the real reward for the fleshy orb..

Have you guys tried finding where the guard training grounds are and then giving it to jenkins? it may be he spawns and then is killed. if you could save him and give him the orb this quest may turn out differently don't you think?

What does a Spiroc Proven have to do with this quest? Why is it linked as a related monster?

I really, really wanted to do this quest without reading a spoiler first, but of course the one time they DID fix it they DIDN't post a patch message.
Oh well, at least I can get rid of the smelly orb at last. I was really expecting another link in the chain, though...

I recived a FS warhammer, looks like FS is the standard reward. Not too shabby considering you could get this at lvl 4 from a rabid wolf. I would of hopped for some insight into the "plague bringers" though :(

OK, here is what I was able to ascertain. The new person mentioned by the priestess is indeed "Lorme Tredore." When he is given the fleshy orb he responds with:
'Ah, thank you for bringing this to me! I will make very good use of it. Here, take this small token of my appreciation in return. Guard Jenkins will no longer require it, as he was killed on the training field yesterday. Tisk Tisk Tisk."
I got a few gold and a fine steel rapier and some XP. No faction adjustments. I was dubious so it looks like anyone can do this quest.

Ok, here is what worked for me.
I looted a fleshy orb from a rabid wolf in Queynos hills. Turn it back to priestess Caulria, got the lore fleshy orb. Ported to Freeport, handed the lore fleshy orb to Lorme Tredore, and i got a thanking message, a joke about a guard, some gold and silver, a fs great staff, no faction and some experience (nothing for lvl 44). My faction was apprehensive though, so maybe it could lead to something more interesting with higher faction. If someone wants to try, i wont use my time improving faction, i prefer go out in Black Burrow or any newby zone to give my help (and there r no faction doing this).

I gave mine up long ago (for nothing), so I haven't tried since the patch said this was fixed. I did talk to Tredore, but he doesn't respond to any of the keywords I tried ("Fleshy Orb", "disease", "Qeynos", "rabies", "Bloodsabers", and "Caulria" tried in several combinations). Has anyone actually taken an Orb to him lately?

yesterday i got a patchmessage that said it was fix i havent had a chance to get back to freeport to test it, but thats what it said

The quest was changed so the person you are supposed to give it to is Lorme Tredore in the Magic Guild in FP. Warm faction plus Benevolence produced nothing from him. The GMs have refused to replace mine. I hate Killing Lempec, since there is no RolePlaying reason to do so, but I now have another orb. I'll try when I am sure it is working.

From what I can see it's still broken . I have had a Fleshy Orb in the bank for a long time. I turned it into the Temple of Life in Qeynos but have yet to ever find a Lorme Trethadore in Freeport. Unless they have changed the name of the NPC in Freeport. I have tried to get another orb to turn in and see, but nothing yet. I can imagine the quest will not be worth the effort but I am curious...

You need to kill Lempic Hargrim for the fleshy orb, not Lorme Trethadore... I have also never seen a fleshy orb from one of those bears in QHills, and I practically live off those buggers.

This quest is still broken as of 2 July 2000. I worked up my faction to warm, then cast benevolence, and still got nothing.
