This is a group monster mission that begins with the Sentry Stone of Illdaera in Sepulcher West (located at about 895, 1085, 8 -- in one of the large rooms in the north-central part of the zone).

Pre-requisites for requesting the task:
- Completed "The Fracturing of Order"
- Completed "Crafting the Triumvirate's Downfall"
- Completed "Resurrecting the Gods"
- 88 Skill Level in Alaran

NOTE: Mercenaries are not allowed in the instanced zone for this task.

You say, 'Hail, Sentry Stone of Illdaera'

We hear you speaking. You have cooperated with the [blind dreamers] and the [burial sites], so we will tell you something of ourselves. We are servants, mere vessels, for our masters. But time in contact with the masters has given us a sense of ourselves as separate from them, and real beings. Our masters of Battle, Fertility and Beasts have decided to help you defeat the Order. Now that you have lowered the barrier, our Illdaera wishes you to meet with your gods and guide them into the Sepulcher. Our masters hope that they are strong enough to overcome the powers there and [breach the temple].

You say, 'Let's breach the temple!'

Sentry Stone of Illdaera says 'We note your decision. We shall not forget. We can provide teleportation to the place where you must [begin].'

You have been assigned the task 'Breaching the Barrier'.

Corrupted ereths have erected a barrier over the doorways to the central chambers of the Sepulcher of Order. Clearly they are trying to protect something important within. Clear the barriers to gain entry to the central chamber by eliminating the ereths defending the temple entrances.

You cannot use more than one of any god. None are required, so you can use any combination.

The Eight Temples

You'll need to clear just about the entire zone's worth of trash, killing eight named mobs (one at each temple) in the process.

The monster templates have a lot of hitpoints and the trash mobs here hit quite hard (~25,000). If you have a full group, it's a simple clear and you'll be able to handle numerous adds at once; however, it's recommended that you fight the corrupted ereths single.

NOTE: You may want to clear the inner part of the zone prior to killing the last corrupted ereth.

Arafel, Thelara Ereth & Completion

Once the last of the eight corrupted ereths is killed, the task locks and you'll see this emote:

The chamber quakes as the massive doors securing the inner chamber swing open.

Note: Arafel is much harder than the previous mini-named. It hits for a max ~56,000; single-target rampages; AE rampages; flurries; has a lot of hitpoints; charms (random, about every minute); summons adds; and casts a knockback. It is NOT leashed anywhere (can be pulled as far away as you want it, even to the zone-in).

Touch of the Guardian: Single Target, Disease (-900)
1: Charm up to level 100

Add spawns are signified by this emote (every 30 seconds):

Bolts of energy fly from Alseth's hands, energizing the pools of Alra Rel.

This signals the spawn of an add in each of the three pools:

They are a mix of "a pool of alsa thel" and "a flow of alsa thel". These mobs will sometimes explode, casting "Burning Thel" in the process:

2: Decrease Movement by 35%

Every 60 seconds, Arafel spawns a non-aggro add called "a thelasa ereth servant":

Arafel, Thelara Ereth shouts, 'I am weakened. Servants of the Triumvirate, I command you to aid me!'

"a thelasa ereth servant" wanders up the ramps from the bottom and attempts to heal Arafel. These mobs can be ignored if you have a full group focused on DPS.

NOTE: At 75%, Arafel drops all aggro and warps back to its spawn point. It must be re-aggro'd within a short time, or the event will reset.

This emote is believed to be a reset emote (if you wipe out or leave the mob idle for too long a time after engaging):

Arafel, Thelara Ereth shouts, 'The powers of order are divine and without error. You have been judged and found unworthy.'


Upon Arafel's death, you see the emote:

As Arafel falls, the magic barrier around the Sepulcher of Order dissipates.

A chest called "Hoard of the Guardian" spawns at Arafel's spawn point. Note that the ooze adds continue spawning and attacking.

How to kill the boss "safely"

The boss spawn a wave of adds every 30 seconds. While they have lowish HP, they hit for a decent amount of damage and can really pose a threat to the group, especially if they spawn while the cleric is charmed or when the warrior just used his taunt ability. One way to circumvent that threat is to pull the boss all the way back to the entrance.

Once he's up and you cleared the way, park the group near the entrance of the zone
have to warrior go up to the boss and pull him with his taunt ability (try and not do damage, since the boss summons... you want to avoid that if possible)
once agroed, bring it to the rest of the group,
there, you can dps to your heart content without a fear of importune adds.
At 70% HP, the boss will warp back to his spawn point, everyone should rush to him and engage as soon as possible, even if the whole group isn't there. The boss, at this point won't respond save for the occasionnal riposte, so whack him to your heart's content.
once it reaches 40% HP, stop fighting. everyone but 1 DPS should get back to the entrance
that character (we used the rogue cause his mirror image ability is a very solid burst) will do the remaining 4% to hit 36% and have to boss be aggressive again.
Then, run him back to entrance again (he will summon you along the way but shouldn't do so much damage that it will kill you... if you're still under the effect of the double uncurable dot, have the paladin toss you a LoH on the way)
Once back at the entrance, you can kill him safely, then run back to the spawn point to open the chest

We did this last night was still a long mission.
The boss actually went non-agro at 70 and stayed inactive on the ramp walking in circles until we beat him down to 36, no new adds seemed to spawn during that time.
After 36 we he went active again we pulled him down the ramp, he started charming again and a few ooze type mobs started coming again.
The regen he had later on was really strange at one point looked like couldn't get him past 10%. This mission is really intense I think we all had a lot of fun.
Drusillae played the Warrior.
Funstuff played the Cleric
Layqosdad played the Ranger
Abramelin played the wizard
Bimaman played the pally.

Rallos destroyed the trash mobs .. en mass. Tallon Zek ... worthless.

Took 2 lives (1 RZ death and kiting by TZ until he came back) to get 1 "mini" down ...

I'm going to try again with RZ and someone else .. wizard?

If you don't SPEND a point on Endless Quiver, then yes, it's not active.

However, if you DO spend a point at the start, you have endless arrows.
This seems broken at the moment.

1) Tallon Zek has ONE arrow (and 0/1 ranks of Endless Quiver) so once he fires his one arrow, he is done (except for AA abilities).
2) DPS seems way low. It took us at least 20 minutes to clear the mobs to the first boss (there are 9). Then we only got the boss to 50% health before being overrun with adds (we were burning the boss as recommended).

So even if we succeeded, we are looking at around 5 hours to complete this instanced mission.

We had a very rough time handling adds. We though that maybe the adds were health based, and tried to kill adds before taking boss down in health any more. It appears, at least for "a corrupted ereth of Lunanyn" that the adds were time based. It seemed like we had hundreds of adds. We quit and restarted the missions, just to clear the adds. They didn't despawn. Once we had more adds than we could handle, there was no way except getting new mission.

We then focus on burning the mini, and ignoring the adds until the mini was dead. That worked well. That is how we approached all the other mini's that spawned adds.
Recommend burn the mini and ignore the adds until the mini dead.

Being a monster mission, return to bind takes you back to the Sentry Stone of Illdaera. Can just re-enter. We also had some dots on us. One dot was a 5 hour timer. Cleric couldn't cure. We just died and re-entered to clear the dot. The cleric rez was 100% and you get full mana.

I had a lot of fun on this mission, good to be able to go punish everything in the zone. You know they deserve it! I did however get tired of all the adds on the first part of the engagement of Arafel, Thelara Ereth so i just pulled it to the tides area and beat it down there. After that was cake, just ignored the walkers and concentrated dps on Arafel.

After cleansing the entrances you must:
"Destroy Arafel, thealara ereth within the central chamber"
He is a LOT harder than the previous mini-named. Charms, summons adds, knockback.
