This expedition is only available as long as the Level 90 version of Permafrost is active.

You must have at least 6 and no more than 54 people with you to request this raid. Unlike the Crushbone raid, you cannot use mercenaries in the Permafrost raid.

You can trigger this raid by clicking on the big door in Lady Vox's lair in the regular Permafrost zone. The ice giant named "A Guardian of Vox" (roamer in Vox's lair with a 2-hour respawn timer +/- 20 minutes) must not be alive.

If you click on the door while the Guardian is alive, you'll see this lockout message:

The door does not budge. It appears to be locked by some sort of magical barrier

If you click on the door while the Guardian is dead, you'll get the expedition and see this message:

With the guardian dead, you now have access to Lady Vox's Lair.

Upon zoning into the instance, you'll find yourself in Lady Vox's lair with the ice dragon herself a short distance away.

Lady Vox

Lady Vox hits for a max ~21,500 and flurries. She's tethered to her lair, but will not reset or remove her debuffs if pulled out (she'll only warp back to her spawn point).

She casts "Frost Flame", "Frigid Fright", "Tail Lash", and "Ice Shock":

Frigid Fright: Single Target, Magic (-710)
1: Fear up to level 0
2: Decrease Hitpoints by 27820 per tick (1 tick)

Frost Flame: Directional 300', Cold (-700)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 7090

Ice Shock: Single Target, Magic (-710)
1: Mesmerize (1)
2: Adjust Mana (-2200)

Tail Lash: Directional 75', (-700)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 19500

At unknown time intervals, you'll see this emote:

a Frost Widow descends from a crack in the ceiling, and begins laying eggs

This signals the spawn of "a frost widow" which moves around the area laying eggs. The eggs themselves are unattackable and, from each egg, "a spiderling" spawns. The spiderlings hit for a max ~10,500 and are unmezzable. They lay traps that cast "Crystalline Web" if you get near them:

Crystalline Web: Single Target, Magic (-700)
1: Decrease Spell Haste by 100%
2: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed
3: Decrease Movement by 100%
4: Stun (2.00 sec)
5: Decrease Hitpoints by 13900 per tick (3 ticks)

The frost widows may stop spawning at a certain health point, but this is not confirmed (they are reported to appear as late as 70%).

When Vox reaches 75%, three goblins spawn. They are named Fizrik, Gibrol, and Maelik, and hit for a max ~18,000.

Fizrik casts "Mental Havoc":

Mental Havoc: Targeted AE 30', Magic (-700)
1: Adjust Mana (-7200)
2: Silence (1 tick)

Gibrol casts "Numbing Strike":

Numbing Strike: PB AE 50', Cold (-700)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 17800
2: Decrease ATK by 100

Maelik casts "Singe":

Singe: PB AE 50', Fire (-700)
1: Knockback (4) and Toss Up (1)
2: Decrease Hitpoints by 22080

Late into the fight, around 20%, she spawns a Healing Rune nearby. While this object is up, Lady Vox heals herself about 4% per tick. You can kill the Rune or just let it fade naturally (although she'll heal herself to 44% before it fades).

You can enter the instance SOLO (although I wouldn't recommend even considering an attempt at soloing her..or duoing for the matter)... 6+ people are no longer needed for this raid instance. I'd say even the best equipped players shouldn't attempt this without at least 2-3+ characters (a healer is a must-have). Like any other instanced raid..mercs will be suspended upon entry..Good luck! p.s...Lady Vox will be the only mob upon zone entry.

Lady Vox flurries,is not perma-rooted,is tethered (but does not reset in hp or remove debuffs!),is not a belly caster like old Vox, and casts the spells "Frost Flame", "Frigid Fright", "Tail Lash", and "Ice Shock"

Adds: called "a spiderling", hit for ~10,500, unmezzable, and lay traps that cast "crystalline web", which is a movement speed/spell speed decreaser. At some point(around 70-75%) 3-4 named goblin adds that hit for ~18,000 max nameds that were noted were: Fizrik, Gibrol, and Maelik....Gibrol casted the spell "Numbing Strike"

every so often,(90% is when first spider appears), "a Frost Widow" spawns that runs around laying eggs, they are unattackable, and out from the eggs come the "a spiderling" adds 2 at a time per egg. around 70%ish we kept getting another Frost Widow spawn as well, but was unable to pinpoint the percent.

emote: "a Frost Widow descends from a crack in the ceiling, and begins laying eggs" signals Frost Widow spawn

This encounter is a DPS check. We set up and had our SKs kite adds as they popped. Our rangers and casters killed the Healing Rune when it popped and everyone burned her down. The whole encounter took less than 15 mins. Guild DPS was 275k. She dropped 3 loots for us. White Dragonscale Cloak and RBB x2. The encounter reminded me of the old Verok raid in the ruins of Illsalin.

Also, the adds do not despawn once she is dead. You have to kill them before you can loot.
