Pre-requisites for participating in this raid:
-- Completion of the other four Tier 3 raids (Guardian of the House; At World's End; Force of Eternity; Cazic's Final Stand)

You say, 'Hail, Towerguard Melbur'

Towerguard Melbur says 'Towerguard Melbur stifles back a yawn as he lazily lifts his hand forward, blocking your way. 'Stop where you are, traveler. None shall gain [entry] to the tower.''

You say, 'Oh, we're going to gain entry!'

Towerguard Melbur sighs with frustrated defeat, 'I know what you're thinking; you and your mates could easily overtake a guard my size, but before you draw your weapons, do know that my presence isn't what's preventing you from entering, it's actually the lack of my [fellow guardsmen] that blocks your progress.'

You say, 'Your fellow guardsmen?'

Towerguard Melbur says 'There are four of us entrusted to guard the tower; our duties never cease. We require no food, no water, nor any [rest] to perform our task. As long as each of us remains alert, passage to and from the tower is possible.'

You say, 'No rest?'

Towerguard Melbur lowers his voice, eyes darting side-to-side with suspicion. 'Towerguards never [sleep], so you can imagine my concern when I learned that my comrades decided to take a bit of a nap.'

You say, 'You don't sleep?'

Towerguard Melbur says 'While no one other than Morell lays claim to this castle, our master has been preoccupied with affairs in the tower. Something wicked and [unseen] stalks the halls in his absence, infecting the dreams that reside here...' Towerguard Melbur pauses to send a quick and silent prayer above, 'And I believe this creature, whatever it is, is responsible for putting my fellow guardsmen into a deep slumber.''

You say, 'Something unseen?'

Towerguard Melbur says 'I thank my lucky stars I haven't had the misfortune of running into this creature, but I know it exists. I can feel its presence in the air.' The towerguard shivers, as if trying to rid himself of whatever thought just swept across his mind. 'It makes my skin crawl even talking about it, and I've said too much as it is.' Melbur straightens his coat in an attempt to appear more official. 'Simply put, if you seek access to the tower, you will need to find a way to [wake] my fellow guards.''

Morellcastle_raid is now available to you.

You say, 'How can we wake them?'

Towerguard Melbur says 'Before you attempt to wake the guards, there is more you need to know. I cannot say much here, but when you are [ready], we can head deeper into the castle. There I will tell you all I know about the sleeping towerguards.'

You say, 'Ready!'

Towerguard Melbur says 'Best be on your way then. We'll meet where the castle leads out into the forest.'

Spawning the Event

You say, 'Hail, Towerguard Melbur'

Towerguard Melbur leans in closely and breathes a word of warning, 'Whatever is making the guards sleep, likely won't be too happy with you awakening them. My [advice] to you is to wake each guard at the same time, so you do not draw the suspicion of whatever is holding them captive.'

You say, 'What's your advice?'

Towerguard Melbur says 'The guards are resting far away from one another. One sleeps in the [sand], another in the [water]. The third isn't too far from where we stand now, dreaming within the thick foliage of this [forest].'

Saying "advice" spawns the event mobs. From there, you can say your area to Melbur and he'll port you over.

NOTE: Once mobs are aggro'd, you can't use Melbur to port. You can still manually run to the forest or the water tunnels after the event's start, but you won't be able to run to the sand castle.

Splitting the Raid

You'll want caster-heavy DPS in the "sand" area (named casts a melee slow); melee-heavy DPS and strongest tanks/healers in the "forest" area (the toughest of the three; casts a mana DOT); and a mix in the "water" area.

NOTE: One person from each area will need to be designated to loot an item off their mob's corpse. The click-effect on the item will be used in the second phase of the event to cure people of large DOTs, so looters have to pay utmost attention and have quick reaction times.

PHASE ONE: The Sandman, Nyade, and Dradir

The mobs aren't aggro until the event is triggered, so you can set up as you see fit. Near each of the mobs is "a sleeping guard". Hail it to activate that area's mob. (Each mob should be activated within a short timeframe of each other.)

You say, 'Hail, a sleeping guard'

a sleeping guard is unresponsive, but your actions have not gone unnoticed.

The Sandman prepares to defend the castle at all costs!

Dradir dashes toward you, prepared to defend the forest at all costs!

The three mobs must die within 60 seconds of each other (no balance necessary). They are leashed to their areas, although the range is big enough to allow you to move about.

Each named casts a 50-range targetted AE spell on a random target. This means the more spread out you are, the less damage you'll take from their AEs.

The Sandman ("sand" area)

The Sandman hits for a max ~17,000 (no flurry; no rampage). His AE is "Sandstorm" (cast every 40 seconds on a random player):

Sandstorm: Targeted AE 50', Magic (-700)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 40077
2: Decrease Attack Speed by 80%
3: Amnesia (Silence vs Melee Effect)

The Sandman has been slain by _____!
The Sandman's corpse dissolves into countless grains of sand.

The Sandman drops "The Sandman's Scepter of Dreams".

Nyade ("water" area)

Nyade hits for a max ~18,000 (no flurry; no rampage). His AE is "Tidal Wave" (cast every 40 seconds on a random player):

Tidal Wave: Targeted AE 50', Cold (-700)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 37900
2: Amnesia (Silence vs Melee Effect)
3: Silence

Nyade has been slain by _____!
Nyade's corpse shrivels at your feet.

Nyade drops "Nyade's Scepter of Dreams".

Dradir ("forest" area)

Dradir hits for a max ~19,000 (no flurry; no rampage). His targetted AE is "Dradir's Fury" (cast every 20 seconds on a random player):

Dradir's Fury: Targeted AE 50', Magic (-700)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 42331
2: Decrease Movement by 200%
3: Decrease Mana by 3339 per tick

Dradir has been slain by _____!
Dradir's corpse drops to the ground.

Dradir drops "Dradir's Scepter of Dreams".

Once all three mobs are dead, the designated looters should loot their items and everyone should say "tower" to the newly awakened guard to port over to the next area.

Something stirs within the castle foyer.

You say, 'Hail, a sleeping guard'

a sleeping guard peers at his surroundings, the lingering effects of sleep still taking their toll. 'What am I doing up here? I should be at my post. The [tower] cannot remain unguarded.'

You say, 'Send me to the tower. I'll handle it!'

PHASE TWO: Xaendar the Dreamleech (100% - 60%)

You can take however much time you want to rest and recover before starting this phase of the event. Once you're ready, approach Xaendar and hail him:

You are not welcome in my realm! Since you insist on trespassing within the castle walls, I'll ensure that you spend your last moments trapped here, before I dispose of you all!

The castle walls begin to crumble, blocking the exits with debris.

Xaendar hits for a max ~22,000 and flurries (no rampage). He has a large, emote-based AE called "Searing Vision". You'll occasionally see this emote:

Xaendar begins to simmer with fiery rage.

As he emotes this, he shadowsteps to a random location. You'll have about 6 seconds to get out of line of sight (you can use the pillars or walls in the room), otherwise you'll be hit with "Searing Vision":

Searing Vision: PB AE 600', Fire (-700)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 82331

In addition, every 20 seconds, he casts three debuffs on random players. These debuffs are a random mix of three possible spells: "Dreams of Darkness", "Dreams of Drowning", and "Dreams of Stifling Sands":

Dreams of Darkness: Single Target, Unresistable (-700)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 22100 per tick
2: Silence
3: Amnesia (Silence vs Melee Effect)

Dreams of Drowning: Single Target, Unresistable (-700)
1: Decrease Movement by 50%
2: Silence
3: Amnesia (Silence vs Melee Effect)
4: Decrease Hitpoints by 22100 per tick
5: Decrease Mana by 3105 per tick

Dreams of Stifling Sands: Single Target, Unresistable (-700)
1: Decrease Attack Speed by 98%
2: Silence
3: Amnesia (Silence vs Melee Effect)
4: Decrease Hitpoints by 22100 per tick

These are curable only with the items looted from the first phase of the event. "Dreams of Darkness" is cured by the click effect of "Dradir's Scepter of Dreams". "Dreams of Drowning" is cured by the click effect from "Nyade's Scepter of Dreams". "Dreams of Stifling Sands" is cured by the click effect from "The Sandman's Scepter of Dreams".

If, for example, you are inflicted with "Dreams of Drowning", you'd send a tell to whoever looted "Nyade's Scepter of Dreams" and that person would have to target you and right-click the effect on you.

Also during this part of fight, when Xaendar reaches about 85%, you'll see this emote:

Sleepwalkers begin roaming through the castle.

This signals the spawn of several non-combative adds called "a sleepwalker". They spawn in the outer parts of the event area and slowly roam towards the inactive puppets around the perimeter of the room. If one of them reaches a puppet, you'll see this emote:

a puppet snaps to life, as if something unseen just tugged on its strings.

...And a puppet comes to life (hits for a max ~16,000; mezzable). If you kill all the sleepwalkers before any of them get to the puppets, you won't have any additional adds to contend with.

PHASE TWO: Xaendar the Dreamleech (60% - 49%)

Once Xaendar reaches 60%, you'll see these emotes:

Suits of Armor appear around the outer edge of the room.

Xaendar begins to summon all of the energy within the castle.

Xaendar stops casting the debuffs and stops the "Searing Vision" AEs.

Four armor suits appear around the room. These suits act as monster shrouds and are activated simply by running into them. The four players using these suits have two effects at their disposal: A snare and and a direct-damage nuke. One of these players should keep Xaendar snared and kited while the other three use the nukes on him.

Xaendar, at this point, is only damageable by these suits and by pets.

NOTE: The players in the suits should avoid any melee from Xaendar as it doesn't take much to kill them. If you die while shrouded in a suit, you lose that suit.

In addition, as Xaendar reaches 60%, four adds (4x "a dream devourer") go live and aggro the raid:

a dream devourer silently eyes its victim before lunging in for the attack.

These hit for a max ~17,500 and single-target rampage (no flurry). The rest of the raid should kill these gargoyles while the four suited players handle Xaendar.

PHASE TWO: Xaendar the Dreamleech (49% - 0%)

Once Xaendar reaches 49%, you see this emote:

As Xaendar's flames are extinguished, he emits a roar that shatters all suits of armor.

His flames burn out (he turns black), he returns to normal aggro, starts casting the debuffs again (three at a time, every 20 seconds), and again does the "Searing Vision" emote. (The suited players also lose their shrouds.)

You'll have more sleepwalkers at about 35%. From there, you just need to kill Xaendar for the win.

Xaendar The Dreamleech has been slain by _____!
Xaendar The Dreamleech's corpse twitches violently on the ground, covered in burns and completely broken from battle.

An ornate chest spawns nearby with loot; as does Towerguard Melbur who will send you out of the zone if you tell him you'd like to "travel".

You say, 'Hail, Towerguard Melbur'

Towerguard Melbur says 'I'm not sure how you did it, but you have my thanks. The inhabitants of this castle can rest easy now that Xaendar has been defeated. With the guards alert once more, you should be able to [travel] to up the tower as you wish.'

Confirmed last night. You also need Miraguls Win to get in. So believe you need all Tier 3 wins to enter Morells as fully flagged. You can 85 people in that are missing a win.
