This is one of five pre-requisite tasks leading up to this zone's mission, "Miragul's Vendetta". There are no pre-requisites for requesting this task.

This is a shared task (1-6 players) that begins with a mephit named Mylzital in Miragul's Nightmare. He's located at about 400, 445, 45 (in the northeastern ruins in the large clearing that's south of the castle entrance).

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'My brother, Xylzital is such a pain! He keeps pranking me and I am sick of it! Hmm. . . I know! You could help me prank him! There is only one tiny [problem] though.'

    You say, 'A problem?'

Mylzital says 'The invisible men known as unseen foes have taken my tomes of summoning. I wanted to use the tomes to try to scare Xylzital. Do you think you could get the tomes [back] for me? We could prank him really good if you could do that for me.'

You say, 'I'll get them back'

Mylzital says 'You will get my tomes? Yes! The first tome I need is my tome of spider summoning. If you find it, bring it back to me and we will make Xylzital sorry he ever tried to play a trick on me!'

You have been assigned the task 'Such a Prankster'.

Mylzital is fed up with his brother, Xylzital always playing pranks on him. He thinks he can gain the upper hand though. If you could help him out, that is.

Note: All five tomes in this task are pre-lootable. They drop from the "unseen" mobs in the living areas of the castle. There are a few rooms of them on the bottom floor and another four rooms of them on the second floor.

For each of the five tomes: You'll turn in a tome, hail Mylzital, follow a summoned creature to his brother, Xylzital (southwest of Mylzital's location), hail Xylzital, and then return to Mylzital.

Other than the unseen foes, there is no direct combat involved with this task.

Find Mylzital's tome of spider summoning and return it to him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

Speak with Mylzital 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'With my tome of spider summoning, I can summon a big, scary spider to freak Xylzital out! Stand back a moment while I invoke the spell! Whana, whana, boop, bang! Wow, this is a scary spider. Follow it and see if it scares Xylzital.'

Follow the summoned spider to Xylzital and ask him if it scared him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Xylzital'

Xylzital says 'Let me guess. My brother told you a big, scary spider would freak me out. Well you both will need to try harder than that. Amateurs!'

The spider didn't scare Xylzital. Return to Mylzital and let him know that he will need to think of a better prank 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'He isn't scared of spiders? What the heck? Hmm. Well why don't you get my tome of snake summoning back from the unseen foes. Surely he will have to be scared of snakes!'

Find Mylzital's tome of snake summoning and return it to him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

Speak with Mylzital 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'Ok, stand back while I summon this horribly scary snake! Blazaamm! Oh, my. That is indeed a scary snake. Follow it to Xylzital and see if that does the trick.'

Follow the summoned snake to Xylzital and ask him if it scared him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Xylzital'

Xylzital says 'C'mon now. A snake? Really? How pathetic. You guys are the worst pranksters I have ever seen.'

The snake didn't scare Xylzital. Return to Mylzital and let him know that he will need to think of a better prank 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'Ah, c'mon. Who isn't scared of snakes?! I guess we will have to try something else. Hmm. . . Why don't you get my tome of rat summoning back from the unseen foes? That just might work.'

Find Mylzital's tome of rat summoning and return it to him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

Speak with Mylzital 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'Ok! One disgusting rat coming up! Shooom bam boom! What a lovely rat. You know the drill. Follow it to Xylzital and let me know if that makes him cry.'

Follow the summoned rat to Xylzital and ask him if it scared him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Xylzital'

Xylzital says 'Aw, a cute little rat. Are you trying to make me laugh? Well you have! Ha! Go away.'

The rat didn't scare Xylzital. Return to Mylzital and let him know that he will need to think of a better prank 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'Geez. Is Xylzital scared of anything at all? Well, I am not giving up. Get my tome of bat summoning back from the unseen foes and return it to me.'

Find Mylzital's tome of bat summoning and return it to him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

Speak with Mylzital 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'Alright, let's summon ourselves a bat! Zoom, doom and boom! That is a freaky looking bat. Let's hope this scares him. Follow it and let me know how Xylzital reacts.'

Follow the summoned bat to Xylzital and ask him if it scared him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Xylzital'

Xylzital says 'Ohhh! Bats are soooo scary! Not! You guys are a hoot!'

The bat didn't scare Xylzital. Return to Mylzital and let him know that he will need to think of a better prank 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'Wow, this is getting tiresome, eh? Well I am almost out of ideas. Why don't you get my tome of rabbit summoning back from the unseen foes. I don't know anyone who is scared of a cuddly bunny, but it is worth a try.'

Find Mylzital's tome of rabbit summoning and return it to him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

Speak with Mylzital 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'Ok, give me some room and let's hope I don't summon a rampaging, murderous type of bunny. Salala, bala, dooop! Aw, how cute. Look at the little bunny! Follow him to Xylzital.'

Follow the summoned rabbit to Xylzital and ask him if it scared him 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Xylzital'

Xylzital says 'Whoa, whoa, whoa! Now that's just wrong! Get that rabbit outta here! You guys win, just get it away from me!!!'

The rabbit scared the heck out of Xylzital. Return to Mylzital and let him know of your success 0/1 (Miragul's Nightmare)

    You say, 'Hail, Mylzital'

Mylzital says 'You're kidding me, right?! He is scared of rabbits! Oh, man. The guys back at home would love this bit of info. Thanks for helping me find his weakness. Maybe now he will think twice about pranking me in the future.'

This is a fun quest and a clever story line.

I was extremely lucky and got four different books in four kills in a row. Then I got two duplicates then the fift. So, it took me only seven kills to get the five different books.

These are pre-lootable, so I was killing two "unseens" anyway for another quest, so it really only took me 5 extra kills.

You don't have to wait for the summoned animal to get to the brother. Once you turn in a book and hail M and he summons the animal, your party-member can immediately hail X.

The only tricky part is that X does not see invis and is near KOS mobs, so you have to drop invis to hail him.

I used a combination of pacify, mezz and CoTH-clearing. You might just kill the two static and two roamers, then you will have about 15 minutes to do the book turn-ins.

    Very easy quest. Very fun.

You no longer have to uninvis to hail X. I even got an update hailing him while FD. So once you have the books, this quest is extremely fast for two people to finish. And not too bad for just one, if oyu can dodge the two see invis roamers easily.

Kill the unseen foes first until you get 1 of each book. It took me 16 kills to finally get them all. After that the rest is a breeze. The foes in the middle section didn't seem to drop books, just the ones in the side rooms.

There is no need to follow rabbits, spiders, etc. Have one person hail M and another sitting at X for the hail immediately afterwards.
