This raid expedition begins with Gananorn in the high level Feerrott. He's a half elf found outside the House of Thule zone-in.
Pre-requisites for requesting this raid:
- The four "Beast of..." partisan tasks from Researcher Breoro
- The House of Thule mission "Welcome to My Nightmare"
Pre-requisites for participating in this raid:
- Level 83 (or maybe as low as 81)
- Achievement: Hero of the House of Thule
You say, 'Hail, Gananorn'
Gananorn says 'I see that you have been helping Researcher Breoro. You have also seen what became of him. The house used his nightmares to entice him into becoming an agent of evil. The house must be stopped. If you feel that you are up to it, and I believe you are, please let me know when you are [ready] and I will meet you inside the house to stop this evil once and for all.'
You are assigned the raid expedition "Tick Tock". Say "ready" to zone into the instanced zone.
You say, 'Ready!'
Gananorn says 'I will meet you inside the house. Be prepared for a tough battle.'
Summary
- Trigger the event by speaking with Gananorn.
- Kill the four mobs in each of the four nearby rooms.
- Kill the Nightmare Clock in the main lobby while fighting off its adds.
Triggering the Event
Speak with Gananorn inside the instance to start the event.
You say, 'Hail, Gananorn'
Gananorn says 'Beyond here, in the main foyer, an ancient clock keeps time. It is the heart of this house. Defeat it, and you stop it from invading anyone else's nightmares. Before you can confront the clock however, there are four [trials] that must be passed. When you are ready to start these trials, just give me the [word]. If however, you wish to [leave], just let me know.'
You say, 'What trials?'
Gananorn says 'Four groups of beasts must be defeated in the correct order. Fail, and the nightmare clock will turn back time, succeed and time will go forward. You must advance time to midnight before you can confront the clock.'
You say, 'Consider this my word!'
Gananorn says 'And so it begins. The fate of dreams is in your hands, my friends. Do not fail.'
The clock has struck 1pm!
This spawns the first 16 mobs in their respective rooms. It also spawns several statues in the main lobby, but these are non-aggro and can be ignored. Rotdog Howlers also appear around the zone as you trigger the event. One of their spawnpoints is at the zone-in, so you'll want to move away from there before triggering the event or be prepared to kill it.
Time Limit & Howlers
Once you trigger the event, a timer starts. Each mob you kill grants you more time. Once a mob is aggro'd, it has to die within a certain timeframe or the event resets.
You'll need to be careful when travelling from room to room as there are mobs called "A Rotdog Howler" at each wrong turn. These mobs hit for a max ~25,000 and must be killed if they're aggro'd, or the event resets. If you're careful not to get within their aggro range, you don't need to worry about them.
Kill Order & Locations
The order in which you go the rooms doesn't matter. You can start with any room you'd like.
There is, however, a specific kill order for each individual room:
Terror Room - A Bloodthirsty Terror, A Living Terror, A Hulking Terror, A Giant Terror
Skeleton Room - A Fiery Skeleton, An Icy Skeleton, A Decaying Skeleton, A Mossy Skeleton
Rotdog Room - A Rotdog Pup, A Young Rotdog, A Mature Rotdog, A Rotdog Alpha Male
Spider Room - Anagorn, Brimiel, Cilithik, Drioan
The terror room is the large room just outside the Grounds. The skeleton room is the haunt room with the statue (next to the Beasts of Rot room in the non-instanced zone). The rotdog room is the small Beasts of Rage room down the hall from the Library. The spider room is southwest of the lobby (the same room as the drachnids are in the non-instanced zone).
The Terrors, Skeletons, Rotdogs, and Spiders
None of the first 16 mobs you kill have any special abilities. They are immune to stun, mez, and root. Each mob hits for a max ~17,000.
If you kill a mob in the wrong order, you'll see this fail emote (rotdogs as an example):
You have failed to defeat the rotdogs in the correct order!
As your time ticks down, you'll see the following emotes, ending with the "failed" one that resets the entire event:
You are running out of time!
Time is almost up! You must hurry!
Alas, time is against you and you have failed.
As you kill the mobs in the correct order, you'll see these emotes:
You have defeated the living armor and time is advancing toward midnight!
You have defeated the skeletons and time is advancing toward midnight!
You have defeated the rotdogs and time is advancing toward midnight!
You have defeated the spiders and time is advancing toward midnight!
Once you've killed the last of the 16 mobs, you can make your way back to the lobby and engage the Nightmare Clock.
The clock has struck midnight!
The Nightmare Clock & Adds
The Nightmare Clock chimes as it turns toward you for the attack!
The Nightmare Clock is permanently rooted. It hits for a max ~22,500; flurries; single-target rampages; and casts the spells "Time Blast", "Debilitating Chime", and "Deafening Chime":
Time Blast: PB AE 50', Magic (-625)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 4200 to 4200 (random) per tick
2: Decrease Movement by 80%
Debilitating Chime: Single Target, (0)
1: Decrease Attack Speed by 35%
Deafening Chime: PB AE 50', Magic (-625)
1: Stun (0.50 sec)
2: Decrease Hitpoints by 40000
Every 25% (at 75%, 50%, 25%), six adds spawn from the stairway.
The first wave (6x "a sleeper cube") is stunnable (immune to root/mez).
The second wave (6x "a frightful skeleton") is rootable/snareable (immune to stun/mez).
The third wave (6x "a nightmare guardian") is mezzable (immune to stun/root).
The Nightmare Clock has been slain by _____!
The Nightmare Clock's corpse falls to the floor in a splintered heap of wood.
Any adds remaining after the clock dies do NOT despawn (must be killed).
