Now if you [want] to be a self-respecting dwarf, let me know. I've also got a couple kits of [adornments] to be used by someone in decent armor, not someone like you. But if yer interested in them I might tell you about them. Otherwise carry on with your lollygagging!' You say, 'What adornments?' Artisan Yar Shiverbrow says 'You see, these adornments aren't just fer lookin at. No, these can work wonders when you combine them with the patterns that I have. You'd surely be a foolish one if you thought that I'd ever be makin somthin fer armor that was just fer looks. Now I'm willing to part with some of these kits but you'd have to [prove your mettle] first.' You say, 'I will prove my mettle' Artisan Yar Shiverbrow says 'Let's see here. . . I know, since yer an adventurin type, I'll send you on some adventures. I'll even be nice about it. You've got yer choice of any of the tasks I have offered you. Take this impression book and make impressions of certain parts of critters that you slay in your adventurous deeds. This magical book can make impression of objects with depth to them or just of the pattern on the surface of an object.' You have been assigned the task 'Illustrious Impressions'. You receive an Illustrious Impression Book. Kill 60 tae ew lizardmen 0/60 (The Feerrott) Make impressions of some of the patterns in the tae ew lizardmen's scaly skin. 0/6 (The Feerrott) This updates passively as you're killing the Tae Ew in the high level Feerrott. Kill 30 Turmoil Toads 0/30 (Fear Itself) Make Impressions of some of the patterns in the turmoil toad's rubbery skin. 0/6 (Fear Itself) This updates passively. Deliver the impression book to an artisan of your race. (0/1) - (zone varies) Upon handing in the Illustrious Impression Book and selecting the sole reward option: You receive the Illustrious Book of ______ Culture (specific to your race). You have successfully been granted your reward for: Illustrious Impressions | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Dialog above is for the quest. But before you are assigned a specific quest it actually gives you the option to choose from a list of them. I choose the Illustrious Impressions, but it gives you the option to choose from any of the previous as well.

You say "task" to your Artisan then choose which level you wish the task for.
No, you say "work", not task.

56/60 lizard kills 0 impressions (sigh) DOH slaps head...you MUST carry the impressions book around with you LOL!

Yup, been like this since hte quests were introduced. In better news, I've killed 24 and got all 6 impressions for the lizardmen, so doesn't seem too bad so far.
