We cleared the hallway outside Khalis' room - 2 static mobs, 1 roamer. Just to be safe, we also cleared Khalis' side of the room (1 mournful soul, 1 ghostly vision, 2 protective imps, 1 cheerless app). I then put on invulnerability and hailed Khalis, which spawned Enraged Khalis. It took him about 3 seconds to hit me. During the fight, one of the protective imps spawned again - so they must be on a *really* short timer. We finished off the Enraged, passified the merc, and used blusterbolt to blow off the imp add. Reinvised and handed in the book to Abbit.
Whole thing probably took about 25 - 30 minutes, and I'm going to chalk that up to caution.

This task is the fourth in a series of five that begins with Abbit Scribbletch, a gnome found in the first room on the left immediately on entering the northeastern wing of the House of Thule's Upper Floors.
You must have completed his first three tasks prior to being able to request this one. You say, 'Hail, Abbit Scribbletch' Abbit Scribbletch says 'It is Khalis! It has been him all along! He has the book and thinks he is safe. But I know that you can do it. You need to [take] it from him.' You say, 'I'll take it from him' Abbit Scribbletch says 'Be careful! This demon is not to be underestimated. If the Morzad couldn't get it from him, then I am sure it will not be an easy task.' You have been assigned the task 'Morzad Chronicle - Dead or Alive or Other'. Abbit realizes that it was Khalis the whole time. He had been playing you and the Morzad agent against each other for his own amusement. Speak to Khalis 0/1 (House of Thule, Upper Floors) Return to Khalis in the northwestern wing, hail him, and be ready for a fight. You say, 'Hail, Khalis' Khalis says 'HAHAHAHA! I have to say... You and those Morzad fellows have been incredibly entertaining, but alas, I am growing somnolent of this game.' He respawns as "Enraged Khalis" and attacks. He hits for a max ~7,200. Note: Khalis has a respawn time of about 10 minutes. You can hail Khalis and spawn the enraged version from a safe distance.
Enraged Khalis has about 530K hps and hits slightly harder than zone trash. He is social with the imps and all the mobs in the room; but he can be split from them.
Clearing the corridor leading up to the room and using that to split in helps.

When boxing, be sure to do the hailing 1 char at a time. Only drops 1 book per kill
