    This task is the second in a series of five that begins with Abbit Scribbletch, a gnome found in the first room on the left immediately on entering the northeastern wing of the House of Thule's Upper Floors.

    You must have completed his first task prior to being able to request this one.

    Abbit Scribbletch says 'Unbelievable! The book is a [fake]!'

    You say, 'Fake?'

    Abbit Scribbletch says 'Yes! You must find Keega and find out what in Norrath is going on!'

    You have been assigned the task 'Morzad Chronicle - Abbit's Betrayal'.

    Abbit Scribbletch is angry over Keega's betrayal. You must help him find out where the real memoir is located.

    Keega says 'Enough... It is not my fault. An agent of the Morzad contacted me while back. I was to lure that Abbit fellow here, and then make sure he got the fake copy of the book! I am sure he is still here in the northeastern wing.'

    Speak to Agent of Morzad 0/1 (House of Thule, Upper Floors)

    A Dwarf called "Agent of Morzad" spawns in the far northeast part of the zone. He's in a room alongside the Morzad Watercaster (for a later task) and some undead.

    NOTE: An ambush spawns right after you hail him. You can do this hail while invis as the ambushers do not see invisibility.

    You say, 'Hail, Agent of Morzad'

    Agent of Morzad says 'That fool, Keega! I knew he could not be trusted! I am not sure what you hope to gain. I have nothing to say to you.'

    Three Morzad Agents spawn around the room and attack. They don't see invisibility. They each hit for a max ~6,500 and are susceptible to most forms of crowd control: mezzable, rootable/snareable, and stunnable.

    Note: The spawned Agents only stay up for a certain period of time (it's several minutes). If you wipe out and they despawn, you have to start the task from the beginning.

    You say, 'Hail, Abbit Scribbletch'

    Abbit Scribbletch says 'I cannot believe they thought they could fool me with that counterfeit book! Thank you for all you have done for me so far. When you return, if you should return, I may have another contact from who we may get some answers.'

    You have discovered that Keega was working for the Morzad. The books location is still in question.

    I was taking 3 chars thru this. I accidentally killed the Agent of Morzad on the second round of this. Kept waiting for him to repop but he didn't. Finally camped and logged back in and he respawned. I was thinking it must be tied to getting close to him with the quest and it was. If you get stuck try this instead of restarting the quest.

    Given the short time you have to kill the three ambushers (under 6 minutes in my experience), you either need a very good puller who can split them very quickly, or you need to be prepared to deal with at least two at once.

    In my case, I (90/1650 Wiz) was working on the mission with an 89/600 Mage plus J5 mercs. We were splitting through a mix of snare and CoH, but this just took too long. Eventually, after way too many attempts, I ended up pulling and AE snaring all three into the larger room. Got called to clear aggro, we both invised and moved into the large room, and fortunately there was enough separation between one of them that I could root him while we pulled and burned the other two simultaneously.

    It's worth noting that you do not need to kill three ambushers on the same attempt. If you have two people with the quest, you can kill one or two, then have the other person hail to get a fresh set of mobs and finish the remainder. Since the quest is repeatable, this is a slightly easier way to get it done if you really struggle.

    Can confirm - the agent is hail able after he is dead. Ambush guys popped in corner by door. Named popped up very quickly after we took down the Ambushers, clearly on a different spawn timer.

    Also, as referenced earlier, clear the trash out first. For some reason Agent won't aggro when pulling trash to long hallway. the end of the hallway closest to the flying monkey room appears to be the safest spot to pull trash to.

    I will try to pull Agent to hallway next to see if I can hail his corpse there and simplify the adds issue.

    just finished this very annoying quest after several days and many, many fails and this is what I will say clear the whole room a few times to get respawn rate for other mobs before hailing the named npc and pulling the shroud guys..also when pulling shroud guys they are rootable and stunnable but they seemed to resist mez just an fyi to those who are trying mez..good luck on this

    2 tries and none of the agents are mezzable but are rootable. They seem to be able to summon tho whithout and damage being taken so root was worthless

    Indeed Watercaster does aggro. I don't know if this is intentional, but it makes for a hectic fight with two quest mobs on you and 3 Agents. After several failed attempts, I had success doing it this way: I cleared the room of trash, then I attacked Watercaster and Agent of Morzad joins in. After they are both dead, we invis up hail the dead Morza, task updated and pop, we just have the 3 Agents to kill now. We killed them and the next guy hailed dead Morza. Rinse and repeat.

    Made quite a few attempts at this last night, and I don't believe the mobs stay up for eight minutes. We had two engaged, and while that was going on, the third despawned, between 5-6 minutes after the initial hail that spawned them.

    We were working this task tonight, and only some of the agents were mezzable. It appears to be random so beware...

    Random Mezz confirmed, A/E mezz added everything inthe room including named. Take special Note: If more thaan one person in the group "hails" the Agent of Morzad, you will get three more adds of Morzad Agents per hail. Not good with everyonein group hailing. Adds could turned into 18 Morzad Agents, plus aggro from the Watercaster will give you the Legendary Ranger Gate. So, long story we wiped and when returning could not get adds to respawn. Looks a redo of the quest to me.

    After you clear the room, you can invis your group and then hail the Agent of Morzad. It will spawn 3 ambushers which do not see invis. They will spawn 1 just in front of the door and the others will spawn on each side of him. They can be rooted.
