This is a group/mini-raid task (3-12 players) given by a bellikos named Delth in the Convorteum. She is located in the zone-in area, below the fortress at about -1380, 365, -65.

KOS mobs wander close to her, so keep a lookout while speaking with her.

In order to request this task, you must first have completed Delth's three solo tasks.

You say, 'Hail, Delth'

Delth says 'Greetings outsider, your endeavors have helped greatly and now the sense of self has spread throughout the others. Now we must [strike]. I could also use your assistance to [investigate] the teachings of the first, locate and assemble Bellikos [parts], or to [reach] certain members of the elite creations and deliver the truth to them.'

You say, 'Strike?'

Delth says 'Yes, I will lead the rebellion against our creator, but I fear that I will need more help. You see, I have become a target and I am expecting them to come after me first. If they capture me it may cause the rest of the rebels to give up. But you helped us find all of this and, as such, are just as committed to this all as I am. Please, won't you [join] us?'

You say, 'I'll join you'

Delth says 'Come now, _____. Our rage will be the weapon we use to break down the walls and find the truth. Tell me when you are [ready] to go.'

You have been assigned the task 'The First Corruption'.

Delth, a trainer for Bellikos envoys, now knows the truth about The First Creation's teachings, thanks to your previous efforts. And now that you have begun to spread the cult of the self inside the pyramid, Delth thinks that it is time to call upon your new allies and attack Keeper Veilyn, who holds the key to the records room.

Delth has gone on ahead, but you still need to gather your allies for the assault on the Keeper. Talk to Argnus first.

NOTE: You'll zone into an instanced version of the Convorteum and land on the first level of the fortress in aggro range of wandering mobs. Up to three mobs can aggro you at the zone-in point if you are not invis.

You say, 'Ready!'

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...

This is an escort task with waves of mobs that must be killed. It is recommended that you clear a path up to the third floor of the temple prior to hailing Argnus.

Speak With Argnus 0/1 (The Convorteum)

Argnus is found on the first floor of the temple.

You say, 'Hail, Argnus'

Argnus says 'Is me convinced. First to Underfoot teaches freedoms and self; to Convorteum teaches slaveries and sacrificers. I bring self to Convorteum! You me go smash face of Keeper, see in room of records what really true! And we go gets Belsa and Grodnis!'

He'll walk to the second floor to Belsa's location.

Take Argnus with you and hail Belsa 0/1 (The Convorteum)

You say, 'Hail, Belsa'

Belsa says 'Now is our time to strike. The First has been careful about keeping knowledge of the self away from those of us in the pyramid. But now that we have it, we must carry it out to its fullest extent. If we can catch Keeper Veilyn off guard, we can breach the records room and disseminate the truth about the First to all of the First's creations, and to all of the Underfoot.'

The two will walk to Grodnis's location (also on the second floor).

Take your allies with you and hail Grodnis 0/1 (The Convorteum)

You say, 'Hail, Grodnis'

Grodnis says '_____, you bring Argnus and Belsa! Good! I see Delth go being drugged up to jails. We make big fight, get Delth, go bash Keeper! Grodnis no afraid; have strong self!'

The three of them will walk up the next ramp, to the second set of prison cells where you'll find Delth.

Take your allies with you and hail Delth 0/1 (The Convorteum)

You say, 'Hail, Delth'

Delth says 'You see, what the First does to those who dare to question, who dare to think? The moment I start believing what I preach, he locks me away. There are many secrets in here, Painlord, but we will lay them bare. We will strip the stones from this pyramid if need be. If I can charge up my powers, I might be able to cast a spell powerful enough to dispel the Keeper's cloak of protection. Come, let us make our assault on the records room while there is still time.'

The four of them will walk up to the Reclamation room (the lava room with the platforms).

Gather in the Reclamation Room 0/1 (The Convorteum)

Let your allies get into position and challenge Keeper Veilyn 0/1 (The Convorteum)

Once the four NPCs you've been escorting reach their positions, they'll go through some dialogue. After this point, the first wave of mobs spawns.

Delth says, 'We are near the Keeper. Let us take up defensive positions while I charge the spell that will make her visible.

Keeper Veilyn says, 'Who are you to challenge the First? His servants will deal with you.'

Defeat the first wave of enemies 0/1 (The Convorteum)

About 12 mobs in total spawn here (a mix of Bellikos and Apexi) and charge the platforms. They'll attack players as well as the NPCs. They are all mezzable.

Keep the mobs off Delth while she casts a long spell. Then kill them. (Those you kill before she's done casting will respawn instantly.) As she completes her spell, you'll see:

Delth shouts 'I have gained sufficient power to proceed. Get rid of those creatures quickly!'

Note: You'll only see this emote if you're in close proximity to Delth. It's not a zonewide emote.

Be ready for another large wave of mobs once you kill the last of those.

Keeper Veilyn says, 'The First is our master. Reject the beliefs of our enemies.'

Defeat the second wave of enemies 0/1 (The Convorteum)

Once the above wave is dead, a second wave spawns nearby: 6-8 telmiran mobs (mezzable) immediately charge and attack players and the NPCs. In addition to those, about 10 fire mephits spawn at the windows around the large halls. They AE for damage and gravity-flux. They are mezzable and permanently rooted.

Keep them off Delth while she casts, wait for her emote, and then kill them.

Be ready for another large wave of mobs once you kill the last of those.

Keeper Veilyn says, 'Belief in self only leads to destruction. The Gorgex will feast upon you.'

Defeat the third wave of enemies 0/1 (The Convorteum)

10 grekens spawn nearby and charge you (some spawn on the platforms; some spawn in the lava). They are mezzable and do not see invis. A named spawns in the center of the lava. It may be permanently rooted or tethered to the floor of the lava. It sees invis and SOS and will target players at random.

Kill the named before killing the other grekens as they respawn if they die before the named.

Be ready for a named mob once the last of those dies.

Keeper Veilyn says, 'The kiln brings forth your doom. When the crusher reaches you, Delth, you will die.'

Defend Dealth from Crushing Apexus 0/1 (The Convorteum)

A Crushing Apexus spawns in the hallways outside the lava room. It slowly walks up towards Delth. You must kill it before it reaches Delth or the task fails.

For the most part, you can beat on it without it aggroing you, but it will occasionally turn around and melee (hits quite hard). It is lurch-able and highsun-able until around 30%.

Crushing Apexus has been slain by _____!
Crushing Apexus falls, shaking the pyramid.

Keeper Veilyn says, 'I will kill you traitors myself!'

Keeper Veilyn says, 'You might have torn my cloak, but I will unravel the thread of your lives!'

Keeper Veilyn says, 'Do you see what your love of self has brought you? You have lost the love of the Master... And your life.'

Keeper Veilyn says, 'Adventurers, you may speak to me in the throne room if you dare.'

Defend your allies from Keeper Veilyn 0/1 (The Convorteum)

Hail Keeper Veilyn in the throne room 0/1 (The Convorteum)

You say, 'Hail, Keeper Veilyn'

Keeper Veilyn says 'You are fools to come here and try to turn the children of the First against each other. He permits no dissent, and there is no self. We are his creations, and he is our master and lord. You either serve Brell or the First; there is no other path. The self is but an illusion in the sight of your god. His will is an ocean; you are but the smallest vessel. And you will drown'

Keeper Veilyn says 'You will be consumed by the wrath of the First.'

Kill 1 Keeper Veilyn 0/1 (The Convorteum)

This is a relatively simple kill, except she occasionally AEs "Lava Ball":

Lava Ball: Targeted AE 120', Fire (-650)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 35000

Keeper Veilyn has been slain by _____!
Keeper Veilyn's corpse will be turned to clay by the First.

Speak with Delth 0/1 (The Convorteum)

Delth is back on the lava platform. Hailing her spawns a chest.

Although your allies were injured, you have defeated Keeper Veilyn and gained access to the records room. Delth will continue her search for answers and will spread the Cult of Self among the servants in the Convorteum.

See what reward has been offered 0/1 (The Convorteum)

First run:
Killed all, chest popped, script hangs on looting, but success in raid with 12 people

Second run.
Got allies, script hang on third ally.

Both times:
Quitting Expedition does not work. How lame is that....
Needed to reboot all toons...

Everbug sucks sometimes...

Managed to 3-box this today with druid, beastlord, warrior plus 3 mercs. Had never done this mission before, so it did take some time but it was not terribly difficult -- although it was a pain to agro/taunt several mobs off Delth to enable her to cast her spells. First attempt on the first wave warrior got shoved off platform into the lava and that turned into all sortsa dead time. Campfired back and dragged all the trash into a nice corner in the hallway. No worries about protecting the ally NPCs, they are unkillable -- Delth will tank all ten mobs all day long and maintain 99% life. Chanter/bard for AE mez would make this hella simpler, but its not required. Snare/root stuck to all the trash, so ghetto CC worked adequately.

Heads up; after I killed the boss greken and his ten little pals, there was a LONG pause before the task updated and Crusher spawned -- like maybe 90 seconds with no update. I thought the task bugged out on me; I was raging thinking I would have to restart the entire thing.

Prior to the Hail Keeper Veilyn step, I added 9 people to the task. Hailed Veilyn, killed Veilyn, hailed Delth, opened the chest -- never did see any message about the task being locked and unable to add players.

Alright, second attempt we got it! 2 90 mage, 2 90 enc*, 90 clr*, 90 war*, with 3 healer mercs, 2 dps merc, and a tank merc. Groups were Mage/clr/enc/tank/dps/heal and mag/enc/war/heal/heal/dps. The offensive mercs in the group with aggro would assist, the other group's would not. *boxed by me. 1 mag and other enc boxed by another.

The initial clear is just a straight plow. It's probably possible to skip alot of it, but I doubt it's worth the trouble. And it gets you used to the group makeup, especially if you have more than one group.

Didn't have much luck boxing enchanter, but had someone else playing a chanter so it really was alot easier that way. I'd say minimum number to complete task is a chanter and a tank, and then you want some dps so it doesn't take forever.

As I suspected, the npc's don't really need your help, just stand back and let the mobs run in, then mez them. They all aggro you pretty quickly, but if you're standing back you can mez em afore they kill you (usually) (sometimes).

We formed up in the room before you walk out onto the platforms. Went invis, triggered event. Mobs spawned, charged the "Allies", we began picking them off with mezzes. Box chanter died. Real chanter kept them all locked down no problem. Warrior and mage then took em down one at a time once Delth was done casting.

Next wave was a little tricky, the mephit gflux is a summon/beckon style spell, they'll pull your chanter down to them and smack em around. We had a mage up top with one chanter to keep the telmiran, other chanter just mezzed the mephits as he got summoned. Mage/warrior took down the mephits one by one until all down, then went upstairs to the telmirans.

Note that with each wave you can keep the last trash mezzed while you med/rez/rebuff if needed.

Third wave the grekens all spawned downstairs in the lava and aggroed to us and charged up, was a near thing, warrior managed to get furious disc off literally while laying on the ground unconcious. Lay there riposting while unconcious for a decent period of time. Was pretty cool. Chanters got them locked down, war/mage went into the lava to kill named. Gorgex has 1.3 mil hps and average dps against Warrior (non disc) was 2400 with spikes into 16k. So that's comparable to like a HoT T3 or T4 trash mob.

After that, Crushing Apex spawns in the hallway leading up to the platforms, all the way around where the mephits were. No problem taking down Crushing Apex in plenty of time, but if you are slow to pick em up it might be tough. I missed half the fight as I was covering the upper halway in case he came from there, but half I saw he had 1.1 mil hps so figure even 2mil. He doesn't fight much but he does attack you. One hit for 8k, another for 13k.

Keeper was no problem, enough hps to make it a good parse fight though if you are interested in that sort of thing. Keeper had 1.6 mil hps. Dps on a full defensive war, final stand, third spire, whole bit, was a flat 2k, rare spike into the 12k range (from spell) and then a huge spike at the end of..wait for it..28k dps. So she's probably capable of wiping the whole group in the final few seconds of the fight if you aren't ready for it. Looks like spell name is Lava Ball, and it's awful.

So I think the least you need is a good enchanter, a good tank, and then some solid dps/backup cc/backup tank. It probably is doable with 3 people plus 3 mercs, but I wouldn't recommend it, if only because it'll take alot longer.

Good Luck!

3 toons: Warrior with box chanter, and mage, and healer/tank/dps merc. The warrior is decked out full T4 group gear or better, 56k hps/6.8k AC, chanter is a crappy box with miscellaneous gear from all over HoT, and mage is decked out badass mage. All toons have pretty much all their AA's and t5 mercs.

You don't have to clear a path before hailing the npc's, but likely you'll have to clear a path eventually:

Argnus starts to wander up, passing most mobs but attacking a few random mobs. The mobs do not assist each other against Argnus, unless you try to help. Argnus dps is also incredibly low, my group could kill 15 mobs before Argnus got his low enough to cause it to run. Argnus' target mob taking off running is why you don't want to let him go it alone. To simplify things, I would go ahead and clear ahead of time.

Your "allies" do not assist you in combat, and only attack those mobs that aggro them. Sometimes, if you attack the one they are fighting and aggro a couple nearby, the ally will then turn and attack them.

The "allies" seem to have alot of hps. As I mentioned, we killed about 15 mobs while Argnus was fighting one. His hp never dropped below 98%, and no adds attacked him, so I'm thinking he's not really killable for this part, which is good. You can hail them as you go and just let them do their thing.

Hailing Delth in her cell is what triggers the end event, she gathers them up and they move pretty quickly to the first spot. I don't know if that's the spot where everything happens, we wiped here. It's up on the platforms in the lava room. Down that first ramp, one NPC stops on that first square, then you take a right, Delth goes to the center, there's some yellow overlay text, and then **** hits the fan, everywhere at once.

AE mez didn't hit Delth, so safe to hit that. Mez did get resisted once, which killed enchanter, which meant we failed. I was hoping the allies would take the heat for a few seconds, but they did not, all the mobs spawned and charged the mage, then the healer merc, then the chanter. For our next attempt I think we wil try to take up residence in a more defensive location. Like, around the way a bit in the corner of a room. If they spawn aggroed to us we can use some directional stuff to control them. If they aggro the allies first then can run in and mez them in the back.

This is pretty hard, I doubt I'll go back without at least 6 90's, hopefully more.

I went ahead and tried it, hoping the adds might be weaksauce, but nope. They're full power Underfoot mobs, didn't kill any so don't know if maybe they have less hps.

The mechanic of the multi-group instance worked without being in a raid. Just /taskadd and they say phrase and can get in. Then assemble groups and mercs as you see fit.

I've now done all of HoT and all but this in Underfoot, as far as group stuff goes, and all I can say is, props to those who did underfoot when it was new. This stuff is very difficult in group gear even today.

I don't think the purpose of this mission is really to protect Delth, for the most part. The first couple waves I'm hoping you can just let the mobs at the allies and then lock them down so Delth can cast.

Let your allies get into position and challenge Keeper Veilyn 0/1 (The Convorteum)

(Dialogues with Veilyn?)

Speaking with Veilyn triggers a wave of mobs.

There is no dialogues with Veilyn; there is nothing to say nor did I see this NPC anywhere present. The wave adds just start and this part of the task is automatically updated based on the NPC's triggering it.

Quote:
Defeat the first wave of enemies 0/1 (The Convorteum)

There are about 12 mobs in total (a mix of Bellikos and Apexi). Keep the mobs off Delth while she casts. Then kill them. (Those you kill before she's done casting will respawn instantly.) As she completes her spell, you'll see:

Delth shouts 'I have gained sufficient power to proceed. Get rid of those creatures quickly!'

Be ready for another large wave of mobs once you kill the last of those.

The mobs will come after players upon initial spawn. AoE mez works or evacing everyone and running back up so the mobs are on the NPC's helps. The 12 mobs then need to be mezed so Delth can cast. You must be in close proximity (on her platform) to see her emote, the shout is not a zone-wide shout.
Once the last mob dies, the second wave comes, again with all the mobs coming after players.

Quote:
Defeat the second wave of enemies 0/1 (The Convorteum)

Once the above wave is dead, a second wave spawns nearby: About 10 fire mephits spawn around the large halls. They AE for damage and gravity-flux. They are mezzable and permanently rooted. In addition to the mephits, you get 6-8 telmiran mobs (mezzable) which will immediately charge you.

Keep them off Delth while she casts. Then kill them.

Be ready for another large wave of mobs once you kill the last of those.

Good idea to kill the mephits prior to the Telmiran mobs so members are not gravity fluxed around the room. It can be difficult getting back up to the NPC's if you are flung into the lava and have to pass by the mephits.

Quote:
Defeat the third wave of enemies 0/1 (The Convorteum)

10 grekens spawn nearby and charge you. They are mezzable. A named spawns in the center of the lava. It may be permanently rooted. Kill the named before killing the other grekens (they'll respawn if they die before the named).

Be ready for a named mob once the last of those dies.

The grekens seem to spawn partially on land and partially in the lava along with the named. The named, Gorgex, is tethered to the floor of the lava, though it will chase you to where the lava meets the floor. It sees invis and through SoS and randomly agroes players every few minutes. If you wipe, it is best to all zone out, and prep out of the instance. When you zone back in, one person will eventually be targeted by Gorgex and/or the grekens and will be killed. The grekens do not see invis or through SoS.
What, really?

Up to 12 people can be in the task/zone. Will probably take a while, and crowd control would make things much easier.

When you first zone into the mission, theres 3 mobs that jump you. Hard to avoid unless you invis immediately after hailing "real delth". Clear all the way up to the 3rd floor lava rooms. Task objectives:

Speak With Argnus (first floor)
Take Argnus with you and hail belsa (2nd floor)
Take your allies with you and hail Grodnis (2nd floor)
Take your allies with you and hail Delth (jail cell)
Gather in the Reclamation Room (Lava room...platforms etc)
Let your allies get into position and challenge Keeper Veilyn
Defeat the first wave of enemies (keep them off Delth while she casts, then kill them)
Defeat the second wave of enemies (they come fast out of no where, same thing as before)
Defeat the third wave of enemies (the greken come fast out of no where, and will trample you. Best to kite them around the floors while group burns named down (center of lava in the lava)
Defend Dealth from Crushing Apexus (comes from the hallways outside of the lava room. Hits like a truck )
Defend your allies from Keeper Veilyn (random npc talk)
Hail Keeper Veilyn in the throne room (when she spawns first, you will see the throne room behind her)
Kill 1 Keeper Veilyn (easy)
Speak with Delth (back on lava platform)
See what reward has been offered.

All mob names:a bellikos assasin, an apexus enforcer (wave 1) , a telmiran servant , a mephit servant (gflux , fire DD) (wave 2) , a greken spawn, Gorgex (wave 3), Crushing Apexus, Keeper Veilyn

Chest dropped Tear of the Belikos for us.

Once the last spawn dies, about 10 fire mephits spawn around the large halls. They AE for damage and gravity-flux. They are mezzable and permanently rooted.

Once the mephits die, four telmiran mobs spawn and attack the NPCs. They are mezzable. Once Delth casts her spell, kill the telmirans.
These kinda all come together and was more like 6-8 telmirans AND the rooted mephits.

Once the telmirans spawn, another wave of mobs spawns: 10 grekens and 1 named. The grekens are mezzable.
Once the telmirans and mephits DIE, the grekens wave starts.
