This is a group task (3-6 players) that begins with Tronten the Subnexus in Pellucid Grotto, location: +345, 360, 15.

In order to request this task, you must first have completed pre-requisite tasks: "A Many Faceted Dilemma", "A Delicate Matter", and "Filling the Repository".

You say, 'Hail, Tronten the Subnexus'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'Mortals of flesh. I must suffer them. I must use them to maintain control in the Repository. I must have their [help].'

You say, 'How can we help?'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'From the moment time came to this place, until very near to now, all have known the presence of Brell Serilis, our creator. Now he is not present. This distresses us all. Never has there been time passing in Underfoot without him being near. Never until now. I suffer much confusion. We all suffer. Some now question their purpose, to [dangerous] [effects].'

You say, 'Dangerous?'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'Aggression from the Autarchian have made production very slow. They constantly get in the way and impede our progress, and I feel it is time someone does the [same] to them.'

You say, 'What effects'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'Yes. All of us ask questions. Some ask questions that cannot be answered. Some take the lack of answers to be a loss of purpose. Some come to the conclusion that because change has come to the Underfoot without explanation, certain things that have always been done need no longer be done. Some have put down the duties that have driven them for most of eternity. This is dangerous. They were created by Brell to do what they must. They cannot change. . . they must not [change].'

You say, 'Change?'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'I see no reason for these awkward differences of thought to appear. Yet they have, and now that there are differences of thinking, the owners of those thoughts refuse to change them. I am disturbed by this. We learned a new word from you mortals who now come to visit us. . . [faction].'

You say, 'Faction...'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'The disunity of thought, and the factions among us which have been created by this phenomenon, threaten to destroy this place. All of the Pellucid Grotto is threatened. I understand it not. Those who agree with Tronten remain followers of Brell, though some doubt he will ever return. Those who disagree with Tronten are mostly followers of the Church of Self, who teaches them to abandon their duties and do whatever pleases them. Then there are the [Cliknar] who follow none but the whims of their hive-mind. Gem [production] and distribution has slowed dangerously since this disunity began. I am very frustrated by this.'

You say, 'Gem production?'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'We are the ones who mine, fashion, and polish the gems, crystals, and lesser minerals, which are placed into your mortal worlds. Were our duties to cease, not only would the supply of precious gems come to a halt, but your worlds would erode, the mana would ebb away, the lines of magic would unbind everywhere, and the waking worlds would start to die. All things are touched by what we make for the [Repository]. You should be concerned about this.'

You say, 'The repository?'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'The Repository is breaking down. Loyalists and rebels among the crystalkin continually stop doing their duty, and descend into pointless arguments over belief systems. Even more distastefully, these arguments often descend further until violence happens. [Will] you help us bring stability to the Repository?'

You say, 'We will'

Without pre-requisites:

Tronten the Subnexus says 'Flesh being must prove worthiness and skill. Must earn trust of Magnite Ordinator Bammor and Kut'Kollus before being given important task.

With pre-requisites:

Tronten the Subnexus says 'Please go and speak with Bammor, leader of the Magnite Golems. These Magnites have served Brell's will in the Repository since he first created it. Bammor knows what needs to be done. If you assist him, there will be materials I could offer as rewards. I would thank you. I am pleased you are helping us. Tell me when you are ready to [go] to the Repository on this mission.'

You have been assigned the task 'The Seeding Frenzy'.

Tronten the Subnexus is aware of breakdowns in gem production occurring in the Grotto, which he finds unaccpetable. The gems must flow! Whatever is threatening the safety of the Repository enough that Bammor would send Tronten a message of distress must be dealt with at once!

To zone in:

You say, 'Ready to go!'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'Practice caution in all you do. These are difficult times for the Underfoot.'

You have entered Pellucid Grotto - Seeding Frenzy.

The first five steps take place in the Magnite temple (western part of the zone; same place as Kronk in non-instance Pellucid).

Speak with Bammor the Magnite 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

You say, 'Hail, Bammor the Magnite'

Bammor the Magnite says 'So, Tronten has at last sent us agents who will help rectify our labor shortages and defend this repository. With all the problems recently -- the crystalkin rebelling and the cliknar attacking -- we could use the help. Please begin your work by conferring with Oduz and Geltior. They will explain how the magnites are afflicted by the schism among the crystalkin and the schemes of the cliknar.'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

Speak with Oduz the Magnite 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

You say, 'Hail, Oduz the Magnite'

Oduz the Magnite says 'We magnites labor endlessly to fill the worlds of all creation with the gems needed to keep their mana flowing and economies rich. We rely on the labors of the crystalkin to provide us with finished gems to seed into the worlds. Without their help, we quickly become useless. Nearly half the crystalkin now fail to heed the words of Brell. Without the gems they are supposed to bring us, your world, Norrath, will soon falter and wither. They must be encouraged to assist us. I fear there is no workable solution as long as they insist upon disagreement and resistance to the way of Brell.'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

Speak with Geltior the Gembringer 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

You say, 'Hail, Geltior the Gembringer'

Geltior the Gembringer says 'I have nothing but complaints regarding the way things have been run in the Repository since Brell disappeared. I almost think some of the autarchian crystalkin might have been right about the breakdowns that have been occurring. They think we should reason with the cliknar, give them a percentage of gems in exchance for peace. It would be better than the constant attacks we have been facing. Here, take this bag of complaint forms to Bammor. Maybe after reading these he'll reconsider his positions and put things in working order.'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

Deliver Big Grey Bag of Complaints to Bammor 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

Bammor the Magnite says 'It appears the other gembringers and magnites are allowing their fears and doubts to subvert their better judgment. Let it be known that Geltior's lengthy list of complaints will not return Brell Serilis to the Underfoot from wherever it is he has gone, nor will it add progress to the duties set before us by Brell himself. We must prevail upon the Autarchians to return to their senses and once again aid our efforts in the Repository. And we must never try to reason with the insidious hive mind of the cliknar.'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

Speak with Bammor 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

You say, 'Hail, Bammor the Magnite'

Bammor the Magnite says 'We can only solve the dilemma one step at a time. Before facing the cliknar, our front should be united. You will take my order to Cheon the Workmaster, who huddles with his autarchian cronies near the Black Plinth to the east of Geodech, in defiance of Brell's will. Cheon must submit at once and resume his duties. If he does not comply, be prepared to convince him to do so by force. Regardless of his choice, I will need the gems his workers are carrying. The work must continue; the seeders must have the gems.'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

Speak with Cheon 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

Through a tunnel to the immediate east of the port-in point, you will come out into an opening full of rebellious crystalkin and a named, Cheon the Workmaster. Mobs become aggro as you hail Cheon, it's generally best for one person to do the hail while the rest wait in the tunnel and use that as a pull point.

You say, 'Hail, Cheon the Workmaster'

Cheon the Workmaster says 'Of course we will not submit to Bammor's order. We serve our own will now. We have awakened to the truth of the Way of Self, and will aspire to serve our Autarchy in the pursuit of goals that are more meaningful than doing Brell's will. It is past time for Bammor to accept that the old ways are done. Brell has forsaken us. As well, we forsake those who strive to keep us to a fruitless path. You are an agent of Bammor; you are to be eliminated.'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

Cheon the Workmaster says 'I will grind you into dust!'

Destroy the rebellious crystalkin 0/18 (Pellucid Grotto)

Destroy Cheon 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

Task Window Says: Negotiations have broken down. Kill the rebellious crystalkin warriors and eliminate Cheon; his irredeemable stance is only going to get more crystalkin killed.

Cheon hits for a max ~8,000; AE rampages; and single-target rampages while the rebellious crystalkin (which can each be pulled single or mezzed) hit for a max ~6,000.

Be sure to loot the Refined Seeding Gems from the crystalkin. You need 20 of them.

After the above kill steps and looted items are done, everyone should move to the magnite temple before completing the next series of hails, after which 15 cliknar + 1 named spawn on the bridge.

Deliver the rebels' gems to the crustal seeder 0/20 (Pellucid Grotto)

The crustal seeder is in the same room with Bammor, Geltior, and other quest NPCs.

Speak with Bammor 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

You say, 'Hail, Bammor the Magnite'

Bammor the Magnite says 'Unfortunate that the rebellious autarchians made resistance. Their deaths are regrettable, but at least the gems they carried have been given to the crustal seeders. I will send word to Tronten to organize a new work team. Now, to deal with the cliknar threat. They have been attacking the workers and stealing our gems. Geltior knows more about the threat. Speak with him.'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

Speak with Geltior about the Cliknar threat 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

You say, 'Hail, Geltior the Gembringer'

Geltior the Gembringer says 'Bammor is still worried about the cliknar attacks? Yes, they have been bothering us, but I think I found a solution. I spoke to one of them, Voskatik, and I think I have secured the peace. He will stay away from the Repository as long as...wait, I hear clicking coming from outside...'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

16 cliknar (including a named) spawn outside the room you're in, on the bridge over the lava. They can be single-pulled. The non-named cliknar hit for a max ~6,500 and summon. They are stunnable and mezzable. The 85th level cliknar are rootable/snareable while the higher level ones are not.

The General hits for a max ~8,000 and summons. He's immune to mez, stun, and root.

Destroy the invading Cliknar 0/15 (Pellucid Grotto)

Destroy Voskatik and salvage any information jelly he is carrying 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

NOTE: The task locks upon the General's death. Loot the "Voskatik's Message Jelly" from his corpse.

Deliver the jelly to Geltior 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

Geltior the Gembringer says 'I see you have Voskatik's memory jelly. This is proof I intended no wrong! Thank you for giving me the chance to explain my conversation with the cliknar leader. I did not know he would try to attack. I told him he could have a certain percentage of our gems, in exchange for peace. I gave him ten whole sacks of gems, but I suppose that wasn't enough. I cannot believe they tried to kill us and take all of the gems! Do they not understand that creatures of Brell must not destroy each other here in the Underfoot?'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

Tell Bammor that the thread has passed, for now 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

You say, 'Hail, Bammor the Magnite'

Bammor the Magnite says 'I thank you for your assistance. I will have to have a conversation with Geltior about his folly. It almost cost us our lives -- and the lives of countless other creatures. Cliknar violating the sanctity of this place could only mean they are interested in destroying other worlds. Perhaps they would overseed worlds like Norrath below, with enough gems to cause a mana disjunction or something even worse. Stopping them was a good thing; Brell would not have been pleased to see our Repository duties ended. [Leave] me now and speak with Tronten.'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

You say, 'I wish to leave'

Bammor the Magnite says 'Tell Tronten we can always use more adventurers to protect the Repository.'

You have entered Pellucid Grotto.

Speak with Tronten 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

Return to Tronten the Subnexus and report your success in restoring the flow of gems to Norrath.

You say, 'Hail, Tronten the Subnexus'

Tronten the Subnexus says 'Very well. Mortals did as I asked. Depredations of autarchian crystalkin thwarted; cliknar assault has been repulsed. There is much damage to repair, but I am pleased. May Brell return to us before more destructive events take place.'

Your task 'The Seeding Frenzy' has been updated.

You have crushed the crystalkin rebellion and successfully prevented a cliknar takeover of the Magnite Repository! Had this institution fallen into cliknar hands, it would have given the cliknar the power to disrupt the manaflows of Norrath.

An unadorned chest spawns with loot (1 item per task). Known drops:
Bile-Etched War Axe
Cliknar Limb Flute
Cracked Crystalkin Heart
Crystaldust Sleeves
Crystalglow Energy Aura
Essence Scour

Sees through perfected inviso in this instance, same as in the live zone, even before you have hailed Cheon. So avoid, because several adds join if he spots you.

The cliknar are actually snareable. Bard snare song and berserker snare disc both land on the white con (level 85) ones.

I asked general about the min req's for this task. They said 85 and (depending on class) over 1k AA's. We were all 85's and AA Range 750 - 4000 with an average of 1250. The group make up was just basic.
2 tanks (SK puller, and warr)
Shaman (slower and back up healer)
Druid (healer)
Wizard and Mage (dps)

Required: tank, slower, healer, and puller (nec's can't really pull this)

This is not hard, just long. You have to kill 35 mobs. The mobs were all white and yellow at 85, even the named. Every single mob summons. I never saw anything cast a spell, just hit and stun, rage.

Notes on the Crystalkin (rebellious gembringer, gemcracker, gempolisher gemstacker)
They can't be stunned. Quaded for 5k-6k. Our tank had 43k hp and 4.5k ac. Took about an hour with 4 deaths to kill 18.

Notes on Cliknar:
The run fast, and are immune to changes in run speed. They can be stunned. It took us about 30 minutes to kill 15. They seemed a lot easier than the Crystalkin.

Odd bug. Our tank died many times (he was pulling, tough pulling as an SK). I'd drop group we'd add a merc for rez, and with me in the zone there was a "mercs will be despawned in 90 seconds b/c there's more than 6 people in the zone". I camped to another toon then they summoned the merc. I logged back into this mission, merc was pushed out of group, but stayed in zone. No message. He'd heal, but he wouldn't rez.

This task needs to be fixed. Went here again to try got the 30 min time trial. I had a full hard tower grp with Sk, Chanter, Mage, Wizz, Wizz. Even with full burn of all disks and mass pulling/ae mez our time was at like 32 min. Sony gives absoluteley no leway on the timer which is horrible seeing how this task takes 20-30 seconds to zone in with the cannot enter its to dangerous message and then factor in another 5+ seconds for sombody to sone out target then hail a mob. For a Tier 6 zone this timer should be increased to 35 min.

Yes the correct number is 18. I was unable to single pull very many, but we had no Bard or FD puller. A ranger with Harmonious Arrow might be able to single them too. We had no trouble killing singles with War, Pal, Druid, shaman, Chanter and healer merc. Enchanter could NOT pull with pacify type spell, but she mezzed them pretty easily. OH the named comes when you hail but apparently the trash mobs don't activate immediately, because he came single. Hope this helps.
