 This is a shared task (1-6 players) that begins with Soldys Falfenaar in Pellucid Grotto, location: +300, 265, 2.

You say, 'Hail, Soldys Falfenaar'

Soldys Falfenaar says 'Times are getting rough here. If only we knew what what was going on, why [Brell] hasn't set things right. I have an idea, but... no, mustn't say anymore. Perhaps we should speak of the [ooze] problem instead.'

You say, 'Brell?'

Soldys Falfenaar says 'I mean no offense, but I am not sure I can [trust] you with something of this magnitude.'

You say, 'Trust me'

Soldys Falfenaar says 'Hmm... Very well... It has been told that long ago there was a High Elf, [Eurdine] Tinithaar, who sought a meeting with Brell himself. She wished to bargain for his aid in ending the war launched by Lanys T'Vyl.'

You say, 'Who is Eurdine?'

Soldys Falfenaar says 'It was said that she carried a scroll box that contained several scrolls which can summon Brell Serilis. The current circumstances in Underfoot, therefore, make this scroll box extremely [important] to find.'

You say, 'Important?'

Soldys Falfenaar says 'What I need is for someone to track down this [scroll] box here in the Grotto somewhere.'

You say, 'I'll find the scroll'

Soldys Falfenaar says 'Eurdine was last seen here in the Grotto, most likely killed by one of those [vile] oozes while waiting for Brell.'

You say, 'I'll find the vile ooze'

Soldys Falfenaar says 'Thank you, and good luck. I am sure that it was one of the vile oozes that has the box now. Those oozes feed on the bodies of the crystalline hulks. If you kill some of the hulks and use their bodies, they should help you find the vile ooze.'

You have been assigned the task 'A Most Foul Encounter'.

Soldys Falfenaar has tasked you with finding the vile ooze and retrieving Eurdine's scroll box.

The vile ooze can sometimes be found feasting on the corpses of crystalline hulks. Perhaps killing some and using them as bait will lure it out.


Kill 9 crystalline hulks 0/9 (Pellucid Grotto)

Crystalline hulks are found throughout Pellucid Grotto. Be advised that they, along with many other mobs, see through invisibility, so getting around the zone won't be entirely simple.

Kill 1 vile ooze 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

This is an uncommon spawn in the place of a crystalline hulk's corpse. It may not always be the last hulk you kill. As it spawns, you will see:

The vile ooze has been attracted by the corpses of the hulks!

If you don't get the vile ooze spawn in any of the nine kills, or if you wipe out and the vile ooze disappears, you can go back and reset the first task step to 8/9:

You say, 'Hail, Soldys Falfenaar'

Soldys Falfenaar says 'Did you lose track of that vile ooze? Do you want to [try] killing another hulk and see if you can draw out the ooze?

You say, 'I want to try'

Soldys Falfenaar says 'Sounds like a good plan. Kill another hulk to find the ooze.'

Loot Eurdine's Scroll Box 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

Give the scroll box to Soldys Falfenaar 0/1 (Pellucid Grotto)

Soldys Falfenaar says 'I cannot believe that you've returned. No worse for the wear it seems. We'll get to work on these scrolls immediately!'
