This group task begins with Old Man McKenzie in the Plane of Knowledge. He is located in one of the taverns due south of the main bank. Your group's average level must be at least 80 in order to request this task. Players under 80th level can participate as long as the average requirement is met.
You must have completed the "Ancient Heroes: Nagafen's Lair" task in order to request this one. Dialogues? You have been assigned the task 'Ancient Heroes - Lower Guk'. Listen to Old McKenzie 0/1 (Plane of Knowledge) Kill 1 evil eye 0/1 (Lower Guk) Kill 1 froglok crusader 0/1 (Lower Guk) Kill 1 minotaur patriarch 0/1 (Lower Guk) Kill 1 minotaur elder 0/1 (Lower Guk) Kill 1 froglok noble 0/1 (Lower Guk) Kill 1 froglok yun priest 0/1 (Lower Guk) Kill 1 froglok tactician 0/1 (Lower Guk) Kill 1 froglok herbalist 0/1 (Lower Guk) Kill 1 froglok king 0/1 (Lower Guk) The task locks once the last of the above named mobs is killed. Find the Froglok King's Chest 0/1 (Lower Guk) In order to open the chest, all named mobs must be killed and you must have at least three players in the zone. Anyone know what the task timer on this series of tasks is? I read elsewhere that it was 6 hours but Im pretty sure that is just your completion timer.

To open the chest it is required that all named mobs have been killed.
To open the chest it is required that 3 characters are present in the zone.
Only opening the chest will finish the task and grant the reward.

Add to your gukbottom_2 map file. The other mob locations should already be there from mapfiend.net. I prefer the "_2" files for my map adds though the "_1" will work just fine.

I entered a mission today with amiable faction and ended up killing more than I meant to. My faction ended up KoS. I dropped mission and got a new one. When I got a new mission I was still KoS. Wasn't faction supposed to reset when you got a new mission?
This happened during the dragon dragon dragon event too. There was one of them that if you took part in killing would give you a huge faction hit against the good dragons. SOE shoulda/coulda avoided that from happening. Good luck to all those that screwed their faction on this.

I 3 box it and I use a wizzy to solo the first few named. 2-3 nukes and they're finished and then I proceed to the tower named and those near king.
Takes 15 minutes, fastest and easiest MM if not KOS.
Classes: Mage(pet/nukes), wizzy(nukes), chanter(mez, blur, rune, slow)

I use a similar group, but my necro is always an erudite (kos), there a trick to getting dif race toons?
I kill everything prenoble with the necro with the dwarf (non-kos) cleric in tow - just in case.
Set up shop at noble on the back hall; run mage, ench, war to group (all are kos,if die, clr drags and rezzes). Single pull to hall just before gargoyle. Pull garg, mez adds, kill in sequence. Chanter paci pulls king, dazzle him, tact comes solo. Kill tact, repeat for king, clear room, loot chest.
My best time is slower due to technique - 60min. Still not bad for 4-6AA on 5 toons.
go clear lower guk dead side a few times when you have 10 mins to blow. You'll be non KOS and it'll make this MM take 15-20 mins easy.

Hate to seem silly, but boxed a couple of these already, and only special brew or reward I seem to be getting is the chest loot. What do I need to do to get the reward for each character in the mm?
To get the reward, click the EQ Button, then choose Quests > Rewards.
Hint: if you pop Lesson before clicking, and turn AAs off, you'll get a massive chunk of regular exp.
