This quest involves collecting the Gem of Stamina and the Gem of Rightousness, then turning them in to a named orc in South Ro. Plan to spend a good few solid hours doing this quest and walking around the continents of Faydwer and Antonica.

Gem of Stamina

1. Go to the Temple of Solusek Ro. Find Lon the Redeemed at +553, -17. Hail him and tell him 'I am a rogue in need of redemption.' He will give you a sealed note to deliver.

You say, 'Hail, Lon the Redeemed' (Works even at dubious)

Lon the Redeemed says 'Welcome, friend. I am one of the redeemed. I once walked the path of evil and woe. My talents were those of the House of V'ree of Neriak. I now serve the Burning Prince. Are you a [rogue in need of redemption] also?'

You say, 'I am a rogue in need of redemption.'

Lon the Redeemed says 'Then, so be it. Ro commands you to aid the saved one, Ortallius of the hot sands. He is in need of two gems, the Gem of Stamina, also known as the Gem of Passion, and the Gem of Righteousness. I once owned these gems in my former life. They rest with my old friend, [Conium Darkblade]. Take this note to him and he shall give you the gems which you will then take to Ortallius. Be off.'

You say, 'Who is Conium Darkblade?'

Lon the Redeemed says 'When evil ruled my life, I hid in the shadows with a fellow thief. This dwarf's name was Conium Darkblade. He was a genius when it came to poisons. I believe he now taints this world with his evil toxins. No doubt he hides near his homeland.'

2 Make your way to Conium Darkbalde, a dwarf on the center island in Dagnor's Cauldron (location: -235, -829). Hail him if and talk to him a bit if you'd like. Hand him the sealed note from Lon the Redeemed. He will give you a 1H Slash weapon named 'Never Stop Chopping.'

You say, 'Hail, Conium Darkblade'

Conium Darkblade says 'You seek Conium Darkblade, do you? Often I am here. To test my [wasp poison], yes. Fewer aqua gobs there now are. Ha!! A true rogue am I with no leader or guild. Just the wind and shadows and much treasure to be had.'

Conium Darkblade says 'So Lon has sworn allegiance to a temple. What a fool, but he is a skilled fool. My word is my bond and if he asks for the gem, then so be it. Unfortunately I traded it for a much-needed axe. It was in the middle of a dungeon and.. well, that is a long story. If you want to get the gem, take this axe back to the [one who once owned it].'

You say, 'Who is the one who once owned it?'

Conium Darkblade says 'The human who gave me the axe remains nameless. We were separated during the battle. If he ever got out of there with all his gold, I do not know. The only clue I know of is the axe itself. The words 'Top of the World' were once printed on its handle.'

3. This is a two-part step. The first part is to pay a visit to Falyn Farreach (location: +238, +628, +40). He is in High Pass Hold, in the back room of 'Top of the World' building in the far left corner of the zone.

You say, 'Hail, Falyn Farreach'

Falyn Farreach says 'Welcome to Top of the World, the newest shop in the pass!'

You say, 'Never stop chopping.'

Falyn Farreach says ''Never stop chopping?!!' Hey! I engraved that on a special order for a fellow Highpass citizen. I can't remember his name. He gave me not only some rare gems for it, but also a case of something called 'Lumberjack Pale Ale.' Great stuff!!'

Now head to a bar named the Lumberjack, located a bit south of the entrance to High Keep. You'll find Brian McGee on the balcony on the second floor (-242, +90), next to an ogre named Beef (heh). Give him the Never Stop Chopping axe, and he'll give you a Bottle Crate, which you'll need to fill with 10 different liquors (detailed in the next step).

You say, 'Hail, Bryan McGee'

Bryan McGee says 'I do not know what you are doing up here, but I am a busy man. Please return to the bar downstairs and enjoy the atmosphere.'

Beef says 'Gets moving before me smash yu to pulp!!'

You say, 'Never stop chopping.'

Bryan McGee says 'Hey!! You must be the one I traded my axe to. Funny.. I thought you were much shorter. If you have my axe I will return your gem to you. Well..? Let's have it!'

Hand him the axe.

Bryan McGee says 'On second thought.. You can do a little favor for me first. An associate of mine has asked me to acquire a case of spirits for him. Take this box and seek out what is needed to fill it. Inside you will combine the spirits of Lendel's Grand Lager, Gator Gulp Ale, Blackburrow Swig, Tunare's Finest, Underfoot Triple Bock, Frozen Toe Rum, Blood Spirit, Vasty Deep Ale, Clockwork Oil Stout and the legendary..[Oblong Bottle].'

Beef says 'BWAHAHA HA!! Yoo werk fer Mister Axe now. Hehehe!!'

You say, 'What is an Oblong Bottle?'

Bryan McGee says 'The oblong bottle is a legend. They say one drink and you're off to oblivion, but just before that you feel the best you've ever felt and relive all your finest memories in the blink of an eye. The last I heard, some guy by the name of Turgin Swillfod turned up in Freeport spouting that he had found it. He was never heard from again.'

4. You may want to have an enduring breath item ready for this step, as it will involve some swimming underwater. The following drinks are needed:

Purchase:
Tunare's Finest - Wela Muselender, Felwithe, +100, -343
Underfoot Triple Bock - Tumpy Irontoe, South Kaladim (Irontoe's Eats), +178, +317
Lendel's Grand Lager - Mac Deeppockets, Rivervale (Fool's Gold), -60, -190
Gator Gulp Ale - Bubar, Commonlands (tunnel), -1591, -2696
Frozen Toe Rum - Scon McDaniel, Halas (McDaniel's Smokes & Spirits), +340, -348
Vasty Deep Ale - Cleonae Kalen, Ocean of Tears (Sister Island), +501, -9250

Find:
The Oblong Bottle - ground spawn, Ocean of Tears, now found in ruin on top of hill/mountain on Seafury Cyclops Island, inside a small stone ruin, +2325, -2855

Loot:
Clockwork Oil Stout - pickpocket this from a CWG Model CX (gnome robot) in Solusek's Eye (aka Sol A).
Blood Spirit - dropped from 'a hemo enologist,' a female Teir'Dal in Castle Mistmoore at location -63, +164.

Ol' Tujim's Fierce Brew x 2 - brewed in a brew barrel, trivial at 135: cask, barley, malt, yeast, hops (all purchased in PoK from Sirekoth Eshe).

Combine all the drinks in the Bottle Crate to create a Case of Spirits.

5. Turn the Case of Spirits in to Bryan McGee to receive the Gem of Stamina.

Bryan McGee says 'I cannot believe you actually acquired all those drinks!! You do good work, kid. Here is the gem as I promised. And a few plat for good measure. Don't let it be said that the Axe doesn't treat his friends right.'

Gem of Righteousness

1. Go to the slums of East Freeport and enter a building called Hallar's Resale. The Gem Case is a ground spawn on the first floor, and looks like a little bag or it can be found on the Second floor in the room with the beds. It is not a container, however, so it may be placed in a backpack.

2. Travel to the western Commonlands and seek out Noresa Sparkle, and be sure to bring approximately 550 PP with you. She is located in a hut near Befallen (approximately -705, +258). Target and hail her.

You say, 'Hail, Noresa Sparkle'

Noresa Sparkle says, 'He.. Hello. Wou.. would you like to buy something? Be quick or [Kizdean] will return!'

You say, 'Who is Kizdean?'

Noresa Sparkle says, '(whispering)..'Sshhh..Please..save me. Get..rid..of..him.''

While you're there, purchase a single sparking sapphire from her. You'll need it a bit later for another part of the quest, and can be a bit costly (510-540 PP or so, depending on charisma).

Find Kizdean Gix and kill him. Though he can wander the zone, he's typically found not far from the Freeport Militia guard hut near the border with Commonlands (approximately -175, +260). Kill him and loot 'A Sealed Note.' It tells you the location of your next victim.

You say, 'Hail, Kizdean Gix'

Kizdean Gix says 'If you have business then out with it!! If not, then please be gone. I have little time to waste on chitchat!'

Kizdean Gix says 'I shall show you the pure fury of the Dead!!'

You have slain Kizdean Gix!
Your faction standing with The Dead got worse.
Your faction standing with Queen Cristanos Thex got worse.
Your faction standing with King Naythox Thex got better.
Your faction standing with Keepers of the Art got better.
Your faction standing with Eldritch Collective got better.
Your faction standing with Primordial Malice got better.
Kizdean Gix's corpse says 'Soon you shall learn the extent of the Dead's power. Vengeance shall be theirs.'

3. Visit Toxdil, a Teir'Dal poison vendor in East Freeport, at the far back room in the walls of the Arena, /loc +905, -415.

You say, 'Hail, Toxdil'

Toxdil says 'Correct, Toxdil is my name. No last name. I swear allegiance to no house nor guild. What brings you down here? Perhaps you seek my [deadly liquid], perhaps not. Whatever your reasons, I warn you to keep an eye out for the militia. They have begun to patrol the sewers.'

You say, 'I seek the gem of righteousness.'

Toxdil says 'That gem is worthless!! If you want it, you can have it. Oh, but I forgot! I sold it to some gem merchant. I can't seem to remember her name, but she paid highly for it. Ha!! Imagine that. Worthless hunk of crystal. Do not bother looking for it.'

Give him the sapphire that you purchased from Noresa.

Toxdil says 'The gem!! I would notice its sparkle anywhere!! I cannot believe you are handing it back to me!! What a fool. Here you are, fool. You can have this worthless key now.'

You receive A Tiny Key (identifies as "Gem Case Key 2").

4. Go to Solusek's Eye (aka Sol A) by means most convenient to you. I would advise sneak/hiding around to avoid having the goblins pile on you. Search out and destroy Lynada the Exiled at location -999, -654, a Teir'Dal magician. She is of a relatively low level, so her spells are easily resistible. Loot a sparkle purse. Her faction is with the goblins here, on the Goblins of Fire Peak and Tribe Vrodak.

5. Hobble back to Noresa in Commonlands. Give her the sparkle purse, and she'll give you A Tiny Key (identifies as "Gem Case Key 1").

Noresa Sparkle says 'Oh!!! Thank you. You are my hero. I have been held captive by that horrid dark elf for weeks. Please take this. It was the key to a [gem case] which was stolen from me by an unseen rogue. If you find the gem case you can take it and the key to the original craftsman. He can open it with only two keys.'
You gain experience!!

6. Head to the tunnel of Commonlands (near the LDoN NPCs). Visit a human by the name of Bubar (/loc?).

You say, 'Hail, Bubar'

Bubar says 'Greetings, friend! I am Bubar, merchant from the burning sands. You must be thirsty or, perhaps, hungry. Please look over my goods.'

You say, 'What gem case?'

Bubar says 'Talking of containers? I do not make containers any longer. Provisions are much more profitable. Do you have one of my containers? Most likely you have locked yourself out then. My specialty was the three-lock case. They always lose one of the keys. Hand me the case and at least two of the keys and I can open it for you.'

Give him both tiny keys and the gem case.

Bubar says 'I need at least two of the case keys and the gem case.'
Bubar says 'I need at least two of the case keys and the gem case.'
Bubar says 'Mmmph!!.. *Pop!!* Ouch, my thumb!! Here you are. You had a gem inside.'
You gain experience!

You receive Sparkling Sapphire (identifies as "Gem Of Righteousness").

Now that you have both the Gem of Stamina and the Gem of Rightousness, you'll need to turn them in to Ortallius. He's found in South Desert of Ro (South Ro) in the southern section along the west wall , at location +1266, -325. Once you turn in both gems, he'll give you the Burning Rapier.

You say, 'Hail, Ortallius'

Ortallius says 'Welcome to the lands of Ro. Stand and fight with me. We shall fight to reclaim the desert in the name of Solusek Ro. Death to all [dervish cutthroats]!!'

Ortallius says 'I was instructed to wait for two gems.'

Ortallius says 'You serve the Burning Prince as I do. The Redeemed has instructed me to give you this reward upon completion of your test. Practice your arts and prepare yourself. Evil approaches our realm. Long live Ro!!'
Your faction standing with Temple of Solusek Ro has been adjusted by 25.
Your faction standing with Shadowed Men has been adjusted by -1.
You gain experience!!
You receive 4 platinum from Ortallius.

multiquested, heh
# Jul 18 2001 at 11:46 AM Rating: Decent
This can be multiquested by the way =) I'm in the process of doing so with my n00b rogue. It hasn't been brought up yet here to my knowledge, but basically all you need to do is get your newbie rogue to commons, give him a buttload of money, have him buy the gem and hand it in for the key, then do all the other parts with your main. Then first hand in the set of drinks to get the first gem for your main, then hand in the key and cask, log out, log in your rogue, and hand in the key to get the second gem. Then hand your main's gem in first followed by your rogue, and badaboom, you could have a Burning Rapier by 1st level, although it'd be easier to wait until you can get across the commonlands by yourself without getting killed by pumas and skeletons.

Incidentally, handing in the gem to get the key, and handing in the final gem to get the rapier itself at 11th level (when I did) gives a POT of xp, as you can probably guess.

I only found one thing confusing in the quest.
Just be ready for it.... Bubar gives you "a sparkling sapphire"(thats exactly what you see in the inventory screen) so dont expect to see "Gem of Righteousness" when you right click.

Tips:
The oblong bottle.
1. Take the boat from BB to FP and when you reach the two tall rocks that the boat travels through jump off, find the loc and Dive.
Get enduring breath before trying is advisable.
-Get this from Druid lvl 9,Enchanter 12,Magi lvl 20(Summon Waterstone, a one charge righ click of enduring breath)

Gix in west commons.
2. You dont need to kill Gix, but its fun to get revenge isnt it?

the Gnoll High Shaman - BB gnoll skin
3. Drops the Gnoll skin sometimes, the elites drop them as well, try and wait outside the room for things to spawn, pull them out to the entrance to the greenroom, some say that the chances of the high shaman or the splitpaws increase when you arent in the room by all of the spawn points. I had the shaman spawn twice and and a couple splitpaws also, the shaman dropped it once.
Keep in mind theses are kinda rare, I got two within the first hour I was there and then I had to but the last one(already had one in the bank from a couple months back)

Gem case - Located in the basement of a building called "Hallard's Resales" behind a locked door.
4. Took me two try's to find it actualy spawned, I had someone pick it each time since my skill wasnt high enough. It wasnt there the first time, a day later it was, so I dont know the exact spawn time., but its less than 24 hours ;)

Finished this quest at lvl 9, looking forward to using this thing now.....
Buy the BB stuff
# Jul 17 2001 at 12:06 AM Rating: Default
I used my druid to go around and buy all the various drinks. On my way to Halas, I went into BB and shouted that I needed 4 skins, 4 scalps and the cask. I said that I would give 10pp per skin/scalp and 50pp for the cask and would come by to trade with them on my way back from Halas. When I came back, I picked up 4 scalps, 2 skins, and the cask. I ended up paying 25pp for the last 2 skins, but was able to get everything I needed from BB in about an hour.

Anyway, most of this stuff should be green to you by the time you do this quest, so if you have the money, don't KS the newbies. And paying them for goods meant that there were fewer people begging in GFay.
good luck

good luck trying to get the blood spirits if your below level 50... unless your in an uber guild and can get them to go to MM. unless there's a guild raid i havn't more than 2 people in MM at a time nowadays. /sigh

Accually you are inncorrect, you can sneak out to the garden undetected, sit down, put on a nice dd poison, get behind her, Backstab, attack, and instill doubt, easy at 40...
Fierce Brew
# Jul 08 2001 at 4:49 PM Rating: Default
How am I suppose to brew the fierce brew, I have all the components and I put it in the Brew Barrel and it says you cant brew those items in there....what now? Please explain what to do in detail.
RE: Fierce Brew
# Jul 08 2001 at 5:12 PM Rating: Default
The ingredients are barley, malt, hops, and yeast. You also must have a cask in the brew barrel to make Ol' Tujims's Fierce Brew. Then you put the 2 casks of Ol' TJ's that you get on a successful completion into a blackburrow cask, along with all the pelts and things needed to make the BB swig. I hope this helps. Good Luck.
Lynada the Exiled
# Jul 06 2001 at 1:29 PM Rating: Default
Just a not on Lynada the Exiled in Sol A.....

I'm lvl 43, and was thinking... no problem right... so I go and get ready... and was warned by a guild member that shes a toughy... so I got a lvl 50 chanter to come with... glad I did... I have 1200 hps, she took about 900 of them in less than a minute...

If you are skilled in poison, I suggest using a higher lvl feeble mind poison on her :)

Just a tip.

# Jul 06 2001 at 7:41 AM Rating: Decent
Ok i have a question...I killed about 50 elites
I got several Black burrow Pelts and a ton or ruined ones... No BB "skins"... I tried to use the
BB pelts but it wouldnt combine...is thier such
a thing as BB skins?
RE: Need help
# Jul 06 2001 at 1:32 PM Rating: Default
Yes they drop, you have to kill literally hundreds of elites to get the four skins you need. It took me 4 days of camping the elite room and offering 25pp a piece to anyone who would bring me one to get the 4 skins.

P.s. The skins DO drop off of commanders too.
Great xp
# Jul 02 2001 at 11:33 PM Rating: Default
I must suggest that every rogue does this at lvl 30. Exactly 30, not above or below. Why? Because it will get you out of hell! I started this quest about one bubble into 30 and did little else that would give me xp and now that I am done I am two blue bubbles into 31 :) I know some people get bored with it but if you're like me and did nothing but kill random stuff for xp until you hit 30 you will find it very enjoyable as a break from the monotonous world of waiting for your grp to med and heal so you can kill stuff ( I think I did a total of 2 quests in 30 lvls before this one ) Even going to BB for the BB swig was much more fun than the normal camp because at my lvl there was no downtime unless you ran out of mobs. Anyway, do this at 30 and remember that the xp cap will prevent you from getting the same amount of xp if you're not in a hell lvl.
I just finished it
# Jul 02 2001 at 8:41 PM Rating: Default
ok first thing This quest is extreemly hard, to finish from level 18 to 35. I am a Level 39 Rogue and I just finished it with a few Freinds help, and many corpses.

some notes for the quest (things I learned):

1) just give the stuff to the people as it said to above they dont care to talk.

2) when you turn in the gem case and 2 keys to Bubar you get a gem "Sparkling Sapphire" don't worry it is the right gem just turn it in.

3) I got 6 blue Bubbles of exp at level 38 made 39 with one blue on final parts so the end is kinda good.

4) you need freinds in high places or lots of 30ish freinds to get the Blood Spirits, Clockwork stout and Sparkling purse. It is not that they are on really hard mobs it is getting to them and takeing out there Freinds they have lots of them.
Bank Door
# Jul 01 2001 at 5:09 PM Rating: Default
you have to be Lvl 201 In Picklocket to open the door
RE: Bank Door
# Jul 08 2001 at 12:49 AM Rating: Default
It is not the door in the bank that must be picked. The door, as mentioned before, is in EFP in the bottom level of a Place called Hallards resales. I picked the door with a skill of 127 with no problem. The room is medium sized and the case appeared as a bag, lying in the middle of the room.
sparkling gem
# Jul 01 2001 at 12:14 AM Rating: Default
I have never seen the sparkling sapphire on Noresa sparkle. I gave her the purse and then she wouldn't say anything about the gem case when I asked her about it. I went to Toxdill and I can't get him to say anything about the key or the gem. Do you need him to tell you about that for the gem to spawn on Noresa? please someone tell me exactly how you got the gem from her, I am desperate.

# Jun 27 2001 at 7:27 AM Rating: Default
ok first off 100pp for whoever brings me the head of the designer of this quest hehehe

18 hafling rogue.. i started out just seeing if i could trigger quest and did the h-s into temple which probably wasnt necessary and was sucessfull i will tell you right now HAVE A DRUID ON RETAINER!!! it will save you buckets of pain and time the oblong bottle is on the bottom of the ocean in the miggle of nowhere didnt notice any sharks arround there though you need sow levatate and enduring breath to do this painlessly and its almost impossible to see the brown bag on the brown bottom at night..

the beer bottles i got from my ever porting and sowed druid.. the clock work oil i got off the vender near the droper for a few silver but i believe i was indifferent so could stand around till someone killed it and just ack to loot one..
the silk purse the same thing there is a zone to sol b near there and if you shout what you need sooner or later someone will kill her and let you loot allthough a few plat speeds this up...
the jewel box had a friend pick the lock and i simply picked it up...
mistmore for the blood sperits is a different story it is in my oppinion the most dangerous place there are deadly mobs all over and no nonagro places nearby incase you lagg while waiting. the area must be steril for a rogue to complete this without dieing usually someone camping the fountain and killing everything in site.. also remember lfay on the way here brownies kos everyone and will kill you fast so h-s or wolf form a must

the blackburrow cask is the posterchild against camping i spent over 8 hours solo killing PH every 18 minutes till the master spawned at about 9am...
gnoll skins are a bit of a camp 8 min spawn drop like 1-20 so your looking at hours killing here shout to buy them it will shorten your time..
I hope this keeps some rogue from going through some of the hell and death that i had to endure

Are the two gems no drop? if so is it possible to multi quest for the burning rapier. my roomates warrior has all the ingredients for the Gem of Stamina (including the no drop items), but my rogue has most of the gem of righteousness completed. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
Quest To Date :)

I have been picking up various parts of the quest as I go along. Right now all I need for the first part is the bottle from OOT, clock work stout from sol a, and blood spirits from mistmoore.

Some tips that I can think of...
Plan ahead, If you are in a region that you need something for this quest, pick it up and put it in the bank... (I did parts of this quest over 6 lvls so far)

Pick up 2 of the purchasable stuff; One for you and one for a fellow rogue who is interested in this quest...

BB swig...Arg.. hehe
The brewers were camped for the 2 days that I was in BB... :( so I ended up buying one for 75pp and a bronze bp which I looted from high keep :).

The BB SKINS... not the pelts/ruined pelts were hard to get. I only looted 1 during 1 RL day of camping, and bought the other 3 for 10 pp/each (cause I didnt want to spent another day in bb killing greenie's)

The BB Scalps, these are light brown, and not patches of fur.

Ol' TJ's FB, make it yourself ;) It cost me about 3pp for a stack of Barley, Hops, Malt, Yeast and 2 casks (remember the get a extra one ;)
I had a brewing skill of 3 when I started, and it took me 3 tries to make Ol'tj's. It then took me another 14 tries to make a second batch for a friend (woot lvl 10 brewing)

As for the rest of the Quest, I will get the bottle tonight... hopefully and then head to G'fay for the emerald cloak quest to get +10 cha for buying that stone hehe...

If any of you feel like helping out send me a tell :)

Yes, gnoll pup scalps are what you're going to want to use.

IRT estimated time to complete this quest, listed above, at 15 hours. Perhaps I am inept, but I sat for 15 and a half hours in BBurrow killing 47 brewers to get the cask. Probably another 6 killing elites to get the pelts. They kill easily at my level, but expect to kill at least a hundred to get the 4 pelts. I have died 5 times in Sol A, and am ready to loose my 32 level trying to get the sparkle purse. Saving the oblong bottle and Mistmoore for last. I don't know but many say Mistmoore is full group of mid 30's min to survive that deep inside. I must have 30 hours invested in the quest right now, and probably another dozen to finish. Great learning experience, really learn your way around, but unless you have money to buy and friends to save your butt, expect to earn this nice little rapier with a lot of time, patience and probably a level to boot. Did you think redemption would come easy?
RE: Hiram
# May 25 2001 at 4:11 AM Rating: Excellent
A lot of it comes down to luck.

For the cask and the skins you shlould rely on buying. 100 pp normally gets you the cask, if you can find a seller, and 2-20 pp per skin. Colleting those 150 PP at level 32 should not be hard these days. Forcamping it yourself, most people report 6-8 hours to get a cask, but you never know with camping.

For the purse and the blood spirits, you need luck to find someone actually hunting the place, and they will let you loot it. Unless you have friends who can do it. Both places require a full group of mid 30, or just one 52+. When I did it, a 52 SK who were camping the HBC killed the Hemo for me, and I got purse on a guild event in SolA.

15 hours is a good estimate, but it can be anywhere between 5 and 40 hours.

The Clockwork Oil Stout is dropped or can be pickpocketed from a CWG Model XC, the only two I have found are in Captain Bipnupple's room (the guy that drops the Gnomish Environmental Suit) and is surrounded by a lot of other gnomes and CWGs. The other I believe is a placeholder for Gabbie Mardoddle (the person who drops the Molten Cloak). The CWG Model CXs I believe conned red to me at lv29. They were both also not solo pullable, the Gabbie room is a 3 spawn, and Bipnupple's room is a 4 spawn with mobs outside it.

No mobs along the way however were able to see through Sneak-Hide and my Wood Elf was apprehensive to the gnomes there.

So to sum up, you have to go pretty deep, you probably won't be KOS, and no, it will kick your booty.

Actually, with a brewing skill of 0, I managed to successfully brew Ol' Tujim's Fierce brew in 18 tries. I went to Qeynos after finishing the Blackburrow camp, bought 2 stacks of each component (Barley, Hops, Malt, Yeast) and 1 cask (all you need), and combining them until I succeeded. Since a success at making Ol' Tujim's provides you with TWO casks of OTFB, you only need to succeed once. I also got my Brewing skill up to 2. :)

The Ol' Tujim's Fiere Brew is player made by brewers. Check out this web site for more info:

http://www.eqtraders.com/secrets/recipes_brewing.htm

The recipe is listed on that page. The recipe becomes trivial at a brewing skill of 135, so you will need at least a good master brewer to make this.

You can buy it from a merchant in highpass near Bryan. You don't have to make this although it can be brewed by players.
