This quest involves collecting the Gem of Stamina and the Gem of Rightousness, then turning them in to a named orc in South Ro. Plan to spend a good few solid hours doing this quest and walking around the continents of Faydwer and Antonica.

Gem of Stamina

1. Go to the Temple of Solusek Ro. Find Lon the Redeemed at +553, -17. Hail him and tell him 'I am a rogue in need of redemption.' He will give you a sealed note to deliver.

You say, 'Hail, Lon the Redeemed' (Works even at dubious)

Lon the Redeemed says 'Welcome, friend. I am one of the redeemed. I once walked the path of evil and woe. My talents were those of the House of V'ree of Neriak. I now serve the Burning Prince. Are you a [rogue in need of redemption] also?'

You say, 'I am a rogue in need of redemption.'

Lon the Redeemed says 'Then, so be it. Ro commands you to aid the saved one, Ortallius of the hot sands. He is in need of two gems, the Gem of Stamina, also known as the Gem of Passion, and the Gem of Righteousness. I once owned these gems in my former life. They rest with my old friend, [Conium Darkblade]. Take this note to him and he shall give you the gems which you will then take to Ortallius. Be off.'

You say, 'Who is Conium Darkblade?'

Lon the Redeemed says 'When evil ruled my life, I hid in the shadows with a fellow thief. This dwarf's name was Conium Darkblade. He was a genius when it came to poisons. I believe he now taints this world with his evil toxins. No doubt he hides near his homeland.'

2 Make your way to Conium Darkbalde, a dwarf on the center island in Dagnor's Cauldron (location: -235, -829). Hail him if and talk to him a bit if you'd like. Hand him the sealed note from Lon the Redeemed. He will give you a 1H Slash weapon named 'Never Stop Chopping.'

You say, 'Hail, Conium Darkblade'

Conium Darkblade says 'You seek Conium Darkblade, do you? Often I am here. To test my [wasp poison], yes. Fewer aqua gobs there now are. Ha!! A true rogue am I with no leader or guild. Just the wind and shadows and much treasure to be had.'

Conium Darkblade says 'So Lon has sworn allegiance to a temple. What a fool, but he is a skilled fool. My word is my bond and if he asks for the gem, then so be it. Unfortunately I traded it for a much-needed axe. It was in the middle of a dungeon and.. well, that is a long story. If you want to get the gem, take this axe back to the [one who once owned it].'

You say, 'Who is the one who once owned it?'

Conium Darkblade says 'The human who gave me the axe remains nameless. We were separated during the battle. If he ever got out of there with all his gold, I do not know. The only clue I know of is the axe itself. The words 'Top of the World' were once printed on its handle.'

3. This is a two-part step. The first part is to pay a visit to Falyn Farreach (location: +238, +628, +40). He is in High Pass Hold, in the back room of 'Top of the World' building in the far left corner of the zone.

You say, 'Hail, Falyn Farreach'

Falyn Farreach says 'Welcome to Top of the World, the newest shop in the pass!'

You say, 'Never stop chopping.'

Falyn Farreach says ''Never stop chopping?!!' Hey! I engraved that on a special order for a fellow Highpass citizen. I can't remember his name. He gave me not only some rare gems for it, but also a case of something called 'Lumberjack Pale Ale.' Great stuff!!'

Now head to a bar named the Lumberjack, located a bit south of the entrance to High Keep. You'll find Brian McGee on the balcony on the second floor (-242, +90), next to an ogre named Beef (heh). Give him the Never Stop Chopping axe, and he'll give you a Bottle Crate, which you'll need to fill with 10 different liquors (detailed in the next step).

You say, 'Hail, Bryan McGee'

Bryan McGee says 'I do not know what you are doing up here, but I am a busy man. Please return to the bar downstairs and enjoy the atmosphere.'

Beef says 'Gets moving before me smash yu to pulp!!'

You say, 'Never stop chopping.'

Bryan McGee says 'Hey!! You must be the one I traded my axe to. Funny.. I thought you were much shorter. If you have my axe I will return your gem to you. Well..? Let's have it!'

Hand him the axe.

Bryan McGee says 'On second thought.. You can do a little favor for me first. An associate of mine has asked me to acquire a case of spirits for him. Take this box and seek out what is needed to fill it. Inside you will combine the spirits of Lendel's Grand Lager, Gator Gulp Ale, Blackburrow Swig, Tunare's Finest, Underfoot Triple Bock, Frozen Toe Rum, Blood Spirit, Vasty Deep Ale, Clockwork Oil Stout and the legendary..[Oblong Bottle].'

Beef says 'BWAHAHA HA!! Yoo werk fer Mister Axe now. Hehehe!!'

You say, 'What is an Oblong Bottle?'

Bryan McGee says 'The oblong bottle is a legend. They say one drink and you're off to oblivion, but just before that you feel the best you've ever felt and relive all your finest memories in the blink of an eye. The last I heard, some guy by the name of Turgin Swillfod turned up in Freeport spouting that he had found it. He was never heard from again.'

4. You may want to have an enduring breath item ready for this step, as it will involve some swimming underwater. The following drinks are needed:

Purchase:
Tunare's Finest - Wela Muselender, Felwithe, +100, -343
Underfoot Triple Bock - Tumpy Irontoe, South Kaladim (Irontoe's Eats), +178, +317
Lendel's Grand Lager - Mac Deeppockets, Rivervale (Fool's Gold), -60, -190
Gator Gulp Ale - Bubar, Commonlands (tunnel), -1591, -2696
Frozen Toe Rum - Scon McDaniel, Halas (McDaniel's Smokes & Spirits), +340, -348
Vasty Deep Ale - Cleonae Kalen, Ocean of Tears (Sister Island), +501, -9250

Find:
The Oblong Bottle - ground spawn, Ocean of Tears, now found in ruin on top of hill/mountain on Seafury Cyclops Island, inside a small stone ruin, +2325, -2855

Loot:
Clockwork Oil Stout - pickpocket this from a CWG Model CX (gnome robot) in Solusek's Eye (aka Sol A).
Blood Spirit - dropped from 'a hemo enologist,' a female Teir'Dal in Castle Mistmoore at location -63, +164.

a hemo enologist says 'Do not underestimate the might of Mistmoore!'

blackburrow gnoll skin x 4
Ol' Tujim's Fierce Brew x 2 - brewed in a brew barrel, trivial at 135: cask, barley, malt, yeast, hops (all purchased in PoK from Sirekoth Eshe).

Combine all the drinks in the Bottle Crate to create a Case of Spirits.

5. Turn the Case of Spirits in to Bryan McGee to receive the Gem of Stamina.

Bryan McGee says 'I cannot believe you actually acquired all those drinks!! You do good work, kid. Here is the gem as I promised. And a few plat for good measure. Don't let it be said that the Axe doesn't treat his friends right.'

Gem of Righteousness

1. Go to the slums of East Freeport and enter a building called Hallar's Resale. The Gem Case is a ground spawn on the first floor, and looks like a little bag or it can be found on the Second floor in the room with the beds. It is not a container, however, so it may be placed in a backpack.

2. Travel to the western Commonlands and seek out Noresa Sparkle, and be sure to bring approximately 550 PP with you. She is located in a hut near Befallen (approximately -705, +258). Target and hail her.

You say, 'Hail, Noresa Sparkle'

Noresa Sparkle says, 'He.. Hello. Wou.. would you like to buy something? Be quick or [Kizdean] will return!'

You say, 'Who is Kizdean?'

Noresa Sparkle says, '(whispering)..'Sshhh..Please..save me. Get..rid..of..him.''

While you're there, purchase a single sparking sapphire from her. You'll need it a bit later for another part of the quest, and can be a bit costly (510-540 PP or so, depending on charisma).

Find Kizdean Gix and kill him. Though he can wander the zone, he's typically found not far from the Freeport Militia guard hut near the border with Commonlands (approximately -175, +260). Kill him and loot 'A Sealed Note.' It tells you the location of your next victim.

You say, 'Hail, Kizdean Gix'

Kizdean Gix says 'If you have business then out with it!! If not, then please be gone. I have little time to waste on chitchat!'

Kizdean Gix says 'I shall show you the pure fury of the Dead!!'

You have slain Kizdean Gix!
Your faction standing with The Dead got worse.
Your faction standing with Queen Cristanos Thex got worse.
Your faction standing with King Naythox Thex got better.
Your faction standing with Keepers of the Art got better.
Your faction standing with Eldritch Collective got better.
Your faction standing with Primordial Malice got better.
Kizdean Gix's corpse says 'Soon you shall learn the extent of the Dead's power. Vengeance shall be theirs.'

3. Visit Toxdil, a Teir'Dal poison vendor in East Freeport, at the far back room in the walls of the Arena, /loc +905, -415.

You say, 'Hail, Toxdil'

Toxdil says 'Correct, Toxdil is my name. No last name. I swear allegiance to no house nor guild. What brings you down here? Perhaps you seek my [deadly liquid], perhaps not. Whatever your reasons, I warn you to keep an eye out for the militia. They have begun to patrol the sewers.'

You say, 'I seek the gem of righteousness.'

Toxdil says 'That gem is worthless!! If you want it, you can have it. Oh, but I forgot! I sold it to some gem merchant. I can't seem to remember her name, but she paid highly for it. Ha!! Imagine that. Worthless hunk of crystal. Do not bother looking for it.'

Give him the sapphire that you purchased from Noresa.

Toxdil says 'The gem!! I would notice its sparkle anywhere!! I cannot believe you are handing it back to me!! What a fool. Here you are, fool. You can have this worthless key now.'

You receive A Tiny Key (identifies as "Gem Case Key 2").

4. Go to Solusek's Eye (aka Sol A) by means most convenient to you. I would advise sneak/hiding around to avoid having the goblins pile on you. Search out and destroy Lynada the Exiled at location -999, -654, a Teir'Dal magician. She is of a relatively low level, so her spells are easily resistible. Loot a sparkle purse. Her faction is with the goblins here, on the Goblins of Fire Peak and Tribe Vrodak.

5. Hobble back to Noresa in Commonlands. Give her the sparkle purse, and she'll give you A Tiny Key (identifies as "Gem Case Key 1").

Noresa Sparkle says 'Oh!!! Thank you. You are my hero. I have been held captive by that horrid dark elf for weeks. Please take this. It was the key to a [gem case] which was stolen from me by an unseen rogue. If you find the gem case you can take it and the key to the original craftsman. He can open it with only two keys.'
You gain experience!!

6. Head to the tunnel of Commonlands (near the LDoN NPCs). Visit a human by the name of Bubar (/loc?).

You say, 'Hail, Bubar'

Bubar says 'Greetings, friend! I am Bubar, merchant from the burning sands. You must be thirsty or, perhaps, hungry. Please look over my goods.'

You say, 'What gem case?'

Bubar says 'Talking of containers? I do not make containers any longer. Provisions are much more profitable. Do you have one of my containers? Most likely you have locked yourself out then. My specialty was the three-lock case. They always lose one of the keys. Hand me the case and at least two of the keys and I can open it for you.'

Give him both tiny keys and the gem case.

Bubar says 'I need at least two of the case keys and the gem case.'
Bubar says 'I need at least two of the case keys and the gem case.'
Bubar says 'Mmmph!!.. *Pop!!* Ouch, my thumb!! Here you are. You had a gem inside.'
You gain experience!

You receive Sparkling Sapphire (identifies as "Gem Of Righteousness").

Now that you have both the Gem of Stamina and the Gem of Rightousness, you'll need to turn them in to Ortallius. He's found in South Desert of Ro (South Ro) in the southern section along the west wall , at location +1266, -325. Once you turn in both gems, he'll give you the Burning Rapier.

You say, 'Hail, Ortallius'

Ortallius says 'Welcome to the lands of Ro. Stand and fight with me. We shall fight to reclaim the desert in the name of Solusek Ro. Death to all [dervish cutthroats]!!'

Ortallius says 'I was instructed to wait for two gems.'

Ortallius says 'You serve the Burning Prince as I do. The Redeemed has instructed me to give you this reward upon completion of your test. Practice your arts and prepare yourself. Evil approaches our realm. Long live Ro!!'
Your faction standing with Temple of Solusek Ro has been adjusted by 25.
Your faction standing with Shadowed Men has been adjusted by -1.
You gain experience!!
You receive 4 platinum from Ortallius.

Toxdil spawned at 2pm EQ Time after killing his placeholder(s) 3 times (2 rats and a deathfist pawn) and he is located just inside the hidden wall that is to the left hand side when facing WFP gate.

THe gem of righteousness is not called the gem of righteiousness, it just says that it is a "Sparkling Sapphire" when you get it back from Bubar after handing him the gem case and 2 keys. I was worried about this but turned them into Ortallius (NW corner of SRO) I did get my Burning Rapier.

To find the gem case Look for Roghur Mulesun in Hallards Resales in EFP. GO downstairs from him and you will find the locked door. THe gem case is on the floor. I had a picklock skill of 160 (Level 31) but I am sure it can be done with a lower picklock skill per the other guides.

The purpose of the quest as stated was to be redeemed in the religion of Solusek Ro, my question: Upon completion of this quest, will my deity change to Solusek? Anyone?

Status symbol among all Rogues
# Mar 19 2002 at 3:11 AM Rating: Default
This quest is very old and three expansions have come out since this quest was made. But even thought there are other piercers out there with better stats (not too many), this weapon is a status symbol among Rogues. Not a lot of people will know about this item but if you have completed the quest and have the rapier, vets will know. It's more of an honor thing to have this than it is a situation of "My weapon is better that yours." I will be displaying this proudly when I complete the quest. Very close to finishing it.

P.S. Do you need to kill Kizden Gix for anything or can you skip him all together? Thanks.
RE: Status symbol among all Rogues
# Apr 24 2002 at 10:48 PM Rating: Default
I agree, to a point. While this is a great symbol to show off, it's a piece of crap. Comparable, a Centi SS, SSoY, and tons of other weapons are better than this (secondary of course). There's not much point in doing this quest anymore unless they upgrade the reward because you don't need it for the Epic anymore.

I was going to do it until I bought an SSoY for 300pp, which is comparable in ratio (8/24 vs 7/20), but SSoY's proc does 2x as much damage.

Quest time: 15 Hours. In a good cash camp, even at level 30, I could make 1k in that ammount of time.

Once again, I'm not flaming you or this weapon, I just feel that the reward is not good enough now, and VI should fix it, or make it easier.

RE: GET YOUR CASK HERE FOR LESS!

The cask is a quest container, not a tradeskill one. It turns into the drink when combined, and is not returned, so you can not rent it out, only sell it.

Has anyone Verifed the MQ of the Quest

From Below posted Posted @ Thu, Nov 8th 2:52 PM 2001

1)Have your main start off the quest and get all the drinks; turn them in for the gem of stamina and keep it on your main for now.
2)Have your main kill Lynada and give the purse to Noressa for one of the keys.
3)Get the gem case and keep the key and the case on your main.
4)Switch over to your twink, buy the saphire from Noressa and turn it in to Toxdil for the other key.
5)Have your main turn in the gem case and his key to Bubar; quickly switch to your twink and turn in the other key for the gem of righteousness.
6)Have your main turn in the gem of stamina to Ortallius; quickly switch to your twink and turn in the gem of stamina for the burning rapier. The end
RE: MQ Verified?
# Mar 07 2002 at 8:01 AM Rating: Decent
In my experience any quest where multiple items are turned and upon giving them to the NPC they make statements to the effect of "But I also need a key", then the quest can be MQ'd.

The NPC makes the statement because each item is submitted to them by the game one at a time. You would receive the exact same messages if you turned in one item, then turned in the second item, then turned in the final item. (or however many items are necessary).

There are some quests where items that are not MQ'able. You don't receive these interim messages from the NPC in these cases.

Just my observations.

BTW: Just need 3 more skins (UGGHHH!!!!) and the barrel to finish. :)

Well I did verify this and yes you can have a HIGH CHA Chactor by the Gem from Noressa, with 193 CHA I got the saphire for 454P
Minimum
# Feb 24 2002 at 1:40 PM Rating: Decent
Is this minimum level of 30 a recommendation or a requirement? I'd like to start this quest soon at level 26, and I was wanting to know if it's possible (i.e., will NPCs talk to you?) With some forethought, I collected my BB Skins back in my Blackburrow days around level 12 and such, but I need to go back for the Cask, so I'm already about 10-20% done (minus travel time)

Sounds like a fun quest and a break from the hack/slash level monotony. And hey, a good proccing weapon to replace my Stiletto of Bloodclaw!

It's definitely just a suggestion, Rollander. I started doing some of the stuff at level 21, and I had finished the entire quest by 26.

If you could you can start this in your Lower lvls, 30 is suggest because of the travels and mobs you have to deal with. I just spen 4 hours hide/sneaking through SOL A for the Oil Stout and MistMore was a B*tch. But at 28 I'll have it

This rapier ins't just some weapon to quest for. It really isn't that amazing to want to use. It is part of a mini quest for Vilnius the Small, to get information to further your quest. Information about the rogue epic can be found on:

http://www.thesafehouse.org/ is a great place to find info on rogues. Enjoy!

The way I read the info on this, is that the portion of the epic that involve the Burning Rapier is an alternative method of doing one part of the epic quest, i forget which.
You don't actually HAVE to turn in your BR to complete your epic.
Here's a portion of the epic walk-through we have on my guild-board (only posting the part dealing with the subquest for the sake of brevity):
.
.
.
Go to Kithicor. Give the Box to the Dark Elf Advisor to spawn the General.
Kill the General to get the General's Pouch and sometimes the Cazic Quill also.
[Note: If you did not get the General's Pouch, see the below sub-quest.]

Sub-Quests
All of the sub-quests are given out by Vilnius the Small in West Karana.
.
.
.
Hail and talk to Vilnius the Small.
He will give you three quests. Complete the ones that you need.
.
.
.
General's Pouch
Give the Burning Rapier, Eyerazia, Martune Rapier, and a Well Balanced Rapier to get information on how to meet Stanos and receive the General's Pouch.

I cannot actually confirm this myself, as I haven't done it yet.
Feel free to correct any info in here!

The low-down on BlackBurrow
# Feb 15 2002 at 2:24 PM Rating: Decent
Just finished collecting all of the BlackBurrow items for this quest yesterday. Here is the full scoop:

2 Gnoll Pup Scalps - the Gnoll Pups (there are only 2 of them in BlackBurrow) spawn right near the entrance to BlackBurrow (coming from the Qeynos Hills side). They drop the scalps, not every time, but not too rarely either.

4 Gnoll SKINS - has to be the skins, not the belts, or fur. Spoiler sites list the skins as only dropping off the Elite Gnoll Guards, but I actually got one of mine from a Gnoll Commander as well. They drop quite rarely - took me about 7 or 8 hours in the dungeon to get the 4 skins. (They are also used in a Monk quest, so you may be fightinhg monks for good hunting spots.) Three of my four dropped from the "Elite Gnoll Room", in case you were looking for the best camping spot.

1 BlackBurrow Cask - the spoiler sites say that this is dropped from a Gnoll Brewer (rarely) or always from the Gnoll Master Brewer. (However, he is an ultra-rare spawn.) The sites also say that the Cask drops from the Brewers about 1 of every 5 times. Not in my experience tho'. I killed at least a dozen Brewers and never got the cask. Never even saw the Master Brewer. Finally ended up buying one from someone else in the zone after trying on and off for 4 days!!! (Cost me 40pp - well worth getting the hell out of BlackBurrow.) :)

Combine the skins, the scalps, and 2 of Tijum's Fierce Brew (can be bought or brewed) in the Cask. Hit "Combine". No brewing skill needed (although I put one training point in it to be sure).

You've got your BlackBurrow Swig - and the longest camp of the quest over with... ;)

Good luck.

Gnoll Skins
# Jan 11 2002 at 7:10 PM Rating: Default
I just finished the BR quest last night, and just wanted to let you guys know that when you're hunting in BlackBurrow fo the Gnoll Skins, that they also drop of the "Gnoll High Shamans." I actually got the first 3 skins within 2 hours of arriving in BB. One dropped from an Elite Gnoll, and the two others I got from the High Shamans. It seems like the shamans don't spawn very often though, so kill them whenever you get the chance.
Hope that helped :)

Blackburrow piece
# Jan 10 2002 at 8:37 AM Rating: Decent
It's been said before and I'll say it again... The blackburrow piece of this quest is the most time consuming. I just finished gathering the cask and 4 skins. After trying for about 5 hours to get the cask (killing about 5 brewers) I ended up buying it for 50pp from another player.

With the skins, I spent probably 20 hours killing elites and only looted one skin. The first skin I bought from a newbie for 20pp (made his day). The second and third I got from a guy in my guild that had just joined. Felt like it was my birthday when he just sent me a tell asking if I needed 2 skins. The last one I got this morning. I was the only person in BlackBurrow (believe it or not) and just ran between the commander room and the elite ledge. Went through that cycle only three times before one of the elites from the ledge dropped a skin.

My advice to any rogue from level one on up... everytime you get close to BB, run in for a minute and /auction WTB BB gnoll skins. Do not try to do it all at once. It'll drive you insane.

The rest of the quest will be a cake walk with a little help.

LOC on brewer?
# Jan 05 2002 at 10:56 PM Rating: Decent
Does anyone know the exact location of the gnoll brewer spawn in Blackburrow? I have been looking near the 'lobby', just over that bridge and down to the right near the water. Also, what is the spawn time?
RE: LOC on brewer?
# Jan 07 2002 at 9:14 AM Rating: Decent
Just an update on the brewer LOC. He actually spawns in two places. The main location is to the right of the lobby near the water. About 4 out of 5 times, a gnoll guardsman will spawn there. The spawn time is about 15 minutes for that location.

The second spawn spot is down and to the left of the lobby, under the elite ledge where there are about 5-6 barrels. At the point, the brewer is usually surrounded by 2-3 gnolls and scrawney gnolls.

After spending about 5 hours there and killing the brewer several times, he never dropped the cask. I eventually bought it for 50pp from a friend that was there.
RE: LOC on brewer?

Just a note on this spawn. The brewer doesnt actually spawn under the Elite ledge. He spawns in the normal spot and if left alone long enough will wander over to the are near the barrels. I too occasionally see one here but one time I watched him spawn and then walk over to the area. This is why it seems like they almost NEVER spawn here.
its mine

Somewhere along the way i drank the stuff!!! or something happened to it. Does anyone know if it respawns on him? Or does he have to die and Completely respawn?

The effect Ignite on the burning rapier is a lvl 22 ranger spell and a lvl 8 Cleric spell just to let you know!

Sorry post messed up.

I thnink you should not do the quest just for the reward. In todays economy it is not worth it (you can get a crystal grinder or even a slime coated harpoon for about the PP you will need to spend on this).

On the other hand it is an excelent quest, and well worth the time to do. I dislike the guides that just tell you what to get and the most efficient order to get things. I say take a guide, but walk though the quest the way it is supposed to be done, it is really one of the best quests out there. Besides there is very little to be saved by being efficient.

Some of the info steps can of course be skipped (killing gix and finding loc on oblong bottle), but that is all personal preference. Do the quest as you like, and refer to your guide when you feel like it.

If you are not having fun along the way, it is not worth doing.

Btw I am still using mine off hand at level 50 (ok I need a new main hand weapon so i can put my 10/22 spider fang off hand).

Well let's see...The bloody fang has a ratio of 3.56 while the Rapier has a ratio of 2.86. The bloody fang does NOT have any proc, while the Rapier has a 37dd. I'd say the Rapier is better; at least off-hand.
Finally!

It's finally here! I have completed my long-awaited guide to the Burning Rapier quest. Right from the start I knew it was going to be huge, so I decided to make a website for it instead of a simple post. Here's the link: http://www.geocities.com/davivmcd/idiot/guide.html
Take a look at it, even if you've already done the quest, and tell me what you think. Be fore-warned: It is really long. If I had posted it, I think it would take up about 8 or 9 pages.

Checked out your guide, and it seems to be pretty complete. Really nice. Wish I had read it before I started.

Would like to add my 2cp.
After getting the Oblong bottle I just swam to the goblin rock. Its right there, the boat comes right back each trip. Just swim in front of it and itll pick you up, taking you to BB, where you need to go anyway. And at 28 the aqua gobblins and sirens were green to me, so at lower lvls you could get some xp while waiting for the boat to come back.
Blood Spirits- not much to do in Mistmoore at 28 but wait and ask for help. Took some time waiting for players high enough and not on a guild raid to help though. However while waiting, I got brave. Snuck and Hid to the Hemo Enologist about 20 times never got caught (got busted once when an invis spell wore off, but i was close to the zone, and someone at the zone was nice enough to mez the mobs while I picked off the 5 that aggroed me one by one). Finally a 52War and 38bard let me group with them at the fountain. Not only did they help me get the Blood Spirits, but they let me loot many of the kills,(they felt bad I wasnt getting xp), left with over 200+pp in loot plus my Blood Spirits. :)

Clockwork Oil Stout- Sneak and Hide again, no problems(until I realized I couldnt find my map) Found a safe place, camp, print new map, log back in. Problem solved. Sneak, Hide, found merchant. No Stout! Found Clockwork CX. Red to me, plus a couple of his friends, both yellow! Was getting late, didnt feel like making nice with any of the higher lvl players at the time (Please kind sir would you help me?)! Figured if I died Pickpocketin I could just get my corpse back the next day. So crossing my fingers PP: you have stolen 2pp! (HMM!!), PP: You have stolen 3gp!, (OK 2 for 2) PP: you have stolen 9sp!, (now im 3 for 3, pushing my luck. pp skill at 124. What the hey, I was willing to die the first time!) PP: You have stolen a Clockwork Oil Stout! Yeah Baby!!

Only have 6 of the drinks so far, got the axe, but was lucky and looted a BB Cask when I was just a young Barbarian Rogue (I was such a NooB that the only reason I kept it was because it gave me more slots to hold things, instead of having to find or buy a Backpack (damn, to think I almost sold it too))
So far it hasnt been as tough as ive heard. As long as youve been practicing your rogue skills it shouldnt be too difficult. Just time consuming, and a lot of running around. But you will learn alot of Norrath and meet lots of new people!

Hey this is Katlike checkin in from tholuxe Paells. I finished My BR last night and let me just tell you, If you wanna backstab sombody, stick em a few times in the gut and gouge thier god damn eyes out before they even know you are thier then you want a BR. As an owner I would like to give you my personall advise on obtaining this awsome weapon and please give me feedback

Now the first thing you should do is obtain EVERYTHING. first thing i did was bought all the booze i started with the one in mistmoor, i happened to be there when some level 50+ where cutting past the hemo, i asked if i could lewt her and they said sure. so i deftly did hide/sneak to her body and bam, my BR quest had begun, then i wont all across norrath to get the rest of the beer, the BB cask and skins are easier to be bought, it will save you some madd time.

step 2 took place in lava storm, went to the temple got the letter then i had to have assistance from a few friends to get the clockwork oil and the purse the purse was without a doupt the hardest thing to get, after wards i went back to Dangor to get my 'never stop chopping' while i was in freeport i asked a bomb *** level 54 rogue to pick the lock to get the gem case

went and got the axe took it to bryan, gave it to him got the wine case, and conviently i already had everything i needed so without having to take a step away from him i instantly whooped up a box of spirits and gave it back to him to obtain the first gem, now alls i had to do
was run back to WC to give that ***** her purse, she gave me her key and i bought the decoy gem, then a dead run to west freeport, gave toxdil the phoney and got my other gem YESS!!
omw to sro to get my BR, problem was when i got there some stupid son of a ***** had killed ortallius, after telling him what i think of him over the OOC i camped for a few hours and got back in to find his ugly *** chillin at his tent gave him the gems and got my BR
if you can think of a better way to get it at level 20 please post it and let me know
i had it done in 2 days
