It is a group mission (3-6 players) that begins with Kanetheus Forestwalker (click for map image) in the Norrath's Keepers camp of the Lavastorm Mountains. Pre-requisites for requesting: - Minimum Level 59 - Minimum "warmly" faction with Norrath's Keepers Hail him to get a quest selection window pop-up. You have been assigned the task 'Signal Fires'. We have tried to send raiding expeditions to weaken Dark Reign here in the Lavastorm Mountains. So far, our attacks have failed due to their extensive communication network. They always seem to know when we're coming! Our spies even report that Dark Reign has secured a temporary alliance with the Snowfoot goblin clan. In exchange for resources, the goblins tend to Dark Reign's signal fires which burn on the icy peaks of the Ascent. Perhaps we can use this to our advantage? Journey up the Ascent and ambush the goblins stationed there. Slay the signal wardens and gather their fuel to start the signal fire. In the ensuring confusion, we can attack Dark Reign here in Lavastorm while they are busy responding to your false signal! Note: This group mission scales to your group's level. The highest is 68+, outlined here. Touch the cave entrance to The Ascent 0/1 (The Broodlands) The entrance will be marked on your compass. It's found in the snowy mountain area west of the non-instanced entrance to Stillmoon Temple. Kill 15 Snowfoot Goblins (0/15) (The Ascent) Head upwards in the Ascent. You'll find Snowfoot goblin mobs in the icy parts (towards the top). These hit for a max ~800 (around Level 69-71 at their highest) and do not summon. Gather the Ascent signal fuel (0/3) (The Ascent) "Ascent Signal Fire Fuel" drops from mobs littered throughout the mountain called "a Snowfoot signal warden". These are the same as the other goblins. You must loot three of these. Fuel the Ascent Signal Fire 0/1 (The Ascent) The "Snowfoot Signal Fire" is at the very back of the top of the mountain, surrounded by four Snowfoot goblins. Hand one of the Fuel items to the signal fire (an invis man NPC) to complete the task: Far below, you hear Dark Reign's war drums echoing throughout the Broodlands. They gather reinforcements there while the real attack is already underway in Lavastorm! Norrath's Keepers will tell tales of your brave expedition for years to come.
