This group task is available at level 8 from Guard Maddoc, who can be found at location -536, -574, -2 in the Mines of Gloomingdeep (standing beside Guard Hobert in-between the two rat caves).
(Dialogues?) You have been assigned the task 'Pit Fiend (Group)'. Before the revolt broke out, the kobolds awoke something terrible deep in the mines. The unearthed creature, whatever it is, killed many kobolds and slaves alike. Gather a group of comrades and put an end to the earth daemon lurking near the bottom of the central mining pit. Destroy the demon lurking in the central mining shaft 0/1 (Mines of Gloomingdeep) Go down into the pit, the third tunnel down -- Krenshin is about loc -333, -1155, -131. You will know the right tunnel by the trampled slave and the trampled kobold in the tunnel. Krenshin is at the end of that tunnel. Once you have killed him: Your faction standing with Kobolds of Gloomingdeep got worse. Your task 'Pit Fiend (Group)' has been updated. A deep rumble radiates through the mines as the unearthed creature collapses and falls. You gain experience!! Krenshin's corpse falls forward, unleashing a hollow roar You have slain Krenshin! Krenshin dropped a Kobold Quicksteel Orb for me today. Sweet.

Not a hard quest at all, if the conditions are right.
I was able to do this quest easily with a lvl 9 mage. soloed.
But for other classes, it's probably best to get a small group together to take him down.
The rewards are minor though (if lvl 9, you should hit 10 easily after this one).
