This group task begins with Gurtrude the Spymaster who can be found at the Ak'Anon Strike Force camp near the zone-in of Fortress Mechanotus.
You say, 'Hail, Gurtrude the Spymaster' Gurtrude the Spymaster says 'Shhh. . . A good spy knows to keep her voice low and quiet. Now, have you come here to assist me with my [work], or to [try to join] my gaggle of spies?' You say, 'Work?' Gurtrude the Spymaster says 'Well, it is my task to lead a fine group of spies. I can't tell you anything about them, but it is our duty to infiltrate the enemy's structures, disrupt their war effort and steal what secrets we can. Now, I readily admit that none of us on this detail were much for spying before the crash, but when it became obvious that we would not win this battle by strength of arms, I convinced many of the crew to work together as spies. They are even now infiltrating Meldrath's infrastructure. Though, we are spread a bit thin, and there is no support from the ground for our efforts. Perhaps you might be willing to do a few simple [tasks] for me?' You say, 'I'm willing to do some tasks.' Gurtrude the Spymaster says 'Good! Obviously I'm risking the lives of my people by trusting you, but I have no choice. I won't be sending you to speak with our most important spies, however, since I really don't know you very well. Will you be handling this [alone] or with trusted [friends]?' You say, 'I have friends.' If you have not previously completed three of Gurtrude's solo tasks.. A Slave to the Grind Disable the Recycler Disrupt the Workshop ...then: Gurtrude the Spymaster says 'You seem like a nice person, but as a spy I know that not everything is as it seems. Perhaps you would be willing to prove to me that I can trust you by doing a few simple things [alone] before I trust you with anything that requires a large force.' [alone] is the prompt to be offered various solo tasks. However, if you have previously completed these solo tasks.. Gurtrude the Spymaster says 'I hope these are good friends, because you'll be asking them to do some dangerous work. Good luck!' You have been assigned the task 'Deception and Interception'. Our agents have managed to infiltrate the S.H.I.P. Workshop and have learned of a secret project to create a new and powerful weapon. Contact our agent Mazicul Smark below the main deck and assist him in obtaining information on this new weapon. He is in disguise as steamwork trooper. You'll know him because he'll be the only one there not trying to kill you. Make sure none of Meldrath's minions see you talking to Mazicul. He'll know you work for us if you give him the code Fizznoggin Bubblebottom. When you're ready to go, just let Gurtrude know that you want to 'sneak in'. Tell Gurtrude you are ready to 'sneak in' to the workshop 0/1 (Fortress Mechanotus) Make sure you enter the instance, not the regular zone. Find Mazicul and tell him the password 0/1 (S.H.I.P. Workshop) Mazicul can be found in the lower level. He is the only light blue con (to an 85) a steamwork trooper. To reach him go through the round trap door in the middle of the first room. You will need to clear all of the floor he is on to get a response. You say, 'Hail, a steamwork trooper' a steamwork trooper says 'Leave this area now, intruders! I may be forced to harm you if you disobey my orders!' (Drop any class auras or it may not work.) You say, 'Fizznoggin Bubblebottom' a steamwork trooper says 'Oh, I see. Well then, let's make this fast. They might notice the missing guards soon. Here, take this. Don't lose it or let it fall into enemy hands. It will make you look like one of their troopers. But be careful, it won't fool the sentries. I'm not sure how they do it, but they see right through the illusion. Oh, and don't rely on that thing once you leave, it draws energy to create and maintain the illusion from the power sources throughout this building, it won't work outside. Now that you have the warnings, here's your task. The goons here are working on some sort of powerful new weapon. The only thing that's keeping if from being completed is the arguments between the engineers. They've been fighting over the final plans for days now, shuffling revisions to each other constantly. This is good for us. Go intercept one of the plans from each of the main engineers and bring them to Gurtrude. Now I need to play dead for a while. Get moving!' Your task 'Deception and Interception' has been updated. A Mazicul's Magical Makeup appears on your cursor. This has 18 charges of robognome illusion, usable on others in group.
