I tried hailing Aide Eino with two toons who didn't have the Planar Collection bag and he didn't respond properly. Either he is bugged or you have to have the bag.

Anniversary events tend to run from mid-March to mid-April (sometimes to mid-May) each year. They are not available during the "off season".
For an overview and list of EverQuest Anniversary events, see this quest entry. Find Garin Thavlish in the Plane of Tranquility, next to a bookcase near the Plane of Knowledge book. Upon entering the zone... Garin Thavlish says 'Welcome _____! I was hoping you could help me gather a few things from the planes. Come see me near the Plane of Knowledge book and I'll tell you more.' You say, 'Hail, Garin Thavlish' Garin Thavlish says 'Ah, thank you for coming _____. I'm doing research into some of the inhabitants and creatures of the planes and need a few more samples. Would you be willing to [help] me collect them?' You say, 'I will help' Garin Thavlish says 'Excellent, here's the list of items I'm looking for and a bag to hold them in. Make sure to seal the bag once you've found them all and then return it to me.' Receive a Planar Collection Bag, a 10-slot container, and a Planar Clue Book which reads: 1. Terror tooth. 2. A sickly orb of eight. 3. In-dependent of courage. 4. You'll have to plan carefully to avoid getting cut by this. 5. Does this hide the just punishment? 6. These have the whirlwind licked. 7. Its not as fast as the others would have you to beleive. As a 79Bard I would train myself with mobs, kill All, and picked up the trash... its still took me about 3 hours to complete. Good luck

The quest wasn't too hard, with the Plane of Valor and Plane of Nightmare drops being the most difficult.
Still took my 62 Ranger, a 64 Ranger and our two healer mercenaries nearly 4 hours to complete.
I then noticed the reward has a 20 hour recast time! TWENTY HOURS?! I understand they don't want melees and hybrids to gate at will, but cutting this down to 60 minutes would really increase the utility of this item

No, this is an anniversary-events-only quest. Wait until mid-March 2009, and it will likely be back.

SoE stealth nerfed the brick (not that the stats worked to begin with) to only have the clicky, and no other benefits. It's not like getting stats from the ammo slot would be game breaking nowadays.

man i thought there were some missing stats. I right clicked the brick and noticed it was different. Came on here and noticed it was changed.. well it looked kewl while it lasted.......b...uuuu....ttttt....of course Sony wouldnt change it during the Fabled month lol ..think about it
Items equipped in the ammo slot have NEVER granted stats to your totals. Only if equipped in RANGE does this work. Most likely a newer dev was assigned this item and didn't know about the ammo-slot-stats issue. This is still a nice item for non-gating classes and even for gaters it gives you a sort of secondary bind like Dru/Wiz have. :)

use is once every 20hrs so it'll save you at most 438 gate potions a year if you use one every 20hrs. hehe or about 66k plat annually :)

Got one to drop off A construct harvester yesterday in Torment. Was headed to the right (or left if you're looking at the map) to the room with the Avatar of Agony.

was exp grinding with my 56 sk near poj exit and got the drop from one of the roaming guards there..so can confirm you dont have to go to the trials area to get the drop.

can confirm that "a horror hobgoblin" drops the piece in PoNightmare right at the spot AbyssalMage said.
Whiny *** people. find ANY ammo item with shielding,, never mind 2% shielding and the rest of the stats are more useful than ANYTHING that will go in ammo slot

Ammo slots do not give stats, except for modifiers like trophies.
Sorry to disapoint ya .. trophys dont give you ANY stat in the ammo-slot!

I think what he meant was that trophies give you tradeskill increases in the ammo slot...and he's correct. Check out your tradeskill level, then equip your trophy in the ammo slot, and you will see it raised.

K .. how about next year ya provide a "Brick of Stealth" with a SoS effect so Rog's can say "wtf?"... and the year after a "Brick of Life" with a Blessing of Ressurection effect so Clr's can feel left out.

I agree its nothing to be excited about but it has its uses. Just be glad it isn't a Firework Effect or an EB item.
Overall could be ALOT worse and useless. This is just semi-useless to those 2 classless seeings they already have PoK ports. But at least you don't have to mem the spell anymore once every 24 hours (or howver long the recast is).

A small correction, on the tormentor's hide. We got ours just killing Kaniz hunters and things like Tormentors around the zone. We didn't have to enter Saryrn's tower.
For the spiders in disease we just killed the ones outside the caves. Basically head along the left wall from the zone in and when you reach the open area with all the regular spiders kill them.

in PoNightmare, to save everyone else the headache me and a few others had. Head into the Hobgoblin caves, drop down, and run to the first fork and make a left. And the very next fork make another left. Had 3 drop in that part of the cave in minutes. Cleared alot of Hobgoblins before this with no luck in other parts of the cave (not saying there isn't other places but 3 in 5 minutes vs. 2 hours in rest of cave = waist of my time).
I can definitely confirm this. I was doing the quest for my trio. I killed the goblins just past the drop-off for hours, only getting 1 drop. Then I came here and read that, and on my first pull in the room he mentioned, there were 8 drops.

For the: A Collector's Frog Tongue (from Frogs near the tornado in Storms) (Clue #6) I recommend killing the frogs by the zone-in and leading down the tunnel to the zone-out, rather than the ones in the middle of the zone by the tornado. I was there for over an hour without any luck and then went to kill some frogs by the zone-in and the tongue dropped first time. So I killed another, and another, and another - low and behold, they all dropped tongues! It seems it's much more common by the zone-in than by the tornado. Anyway, good luck and happy hunting! :)

Im actually happy to see somthing like this.It beats another fireworks stick. I mean to a non gating class who goes out once a day and gates back it will save me a potion. To those who can gate already, yeah I can see why youd not be to excited.
