Grom #1: Undead Slayers

This is one of 10 tasks to be completed in order to attain the Blessed Celestine Faycite augmentation.
This is the first task in a series of five and starts with Grom of Camp Valor in the Hills of Shade. It can be requested after completion of "How the Mighty Have Fallen" (and possibly also "Recycled Arms" as well). It can be requested when warm con to Camp Valor faction - a lower con levels will probably suffice. You say, 'Hail, Grom' Grom gives you a stern glare, 'Whoah there . . . oh it's you, Lias. How've ye been? Heard you stumbled upon Cavalier Devolah in the crypt, while she was hacking away at zombies or some such. She always could sniff out the hiding places of unnatural evil. Why don't you head down there again and [lend her a hand] in cutting a swathe into the ranks of the undead? She is the best I know but she cannot hold out forever without reprieve.' You say, 'I will lend her a hand' You have been assigned the task 'Undead Slayers'. Grom says 'That's a good lad. Look forward to hearing from you soon.' Grom, the leader of Camp Valor, has asked you to venture back into the Crypt of Shade. Though he is confidant of the abilities of Devolah, she cannot handle the area alone and will eventually become overwhelmed. It is up to you to assist her in destroying the many undead that linger there. You are to enter the Crypt, far to the southwest, slay the horrors that reside within, and return to Grom when this task has been completed. Kill 24 Risen Ancestors 0/24 (Hills of Shade) Kill 8 Slithering Shades 0/8 (Hills of Shade) Kill 16 Crypt Guardians 0/16 (Hills of Shade) Risen ancestors are found both in the crypt area and in the graveyard marked on maps on the east zone wall. Slithering shades are found inside the crypt area in the southwest portion of the zone (the larger rooms and any side room off the hallways). The best way to aggro them is via AE spells. Crypt guardians are found in the crypt area on map mostly near the circular room where you do the task for Meldrath key. Return to Grom 0/1 (Hills of Shade) You say, 'Hail, Grom' Grom bellows a chuckle and pats your arm. I have just completed "Recycled Arms" but not yet started "How the Mighty Have Fallen". Grom will not offer me any tasks and responds negatively if I try saying "I will lend her a hand" to him.

•a slithering shade - found inside the crypt area to the south west portion of the zone. Best way to agro them is ae spells. They are cound in the larger rooms and any side room off hallways. I did not find 1 in a hallway. As a lvl 95 sk I just mass traiend the whole tunnel section of the crypt then went back and ae taunted in each room/sideroom area to get these mobs to appear.

As for the closing Dialogs there is none however Grom does emot this - Grom bellows a chuckle and pats your arm.

My character went from "dubious" to "indifferent" faction to Camp Valor upon completing this quest.

You need to complete How the Mighty Have Fallen from Sister Daria to gain access to this task. I'm still dubious to Grom but received task. Where has Sister Donna Gone

Got the quest with indifferent faction today, Warmly should not be necessary.

Not sure if there was a problem or not, but my entire group just pulled Grom #1 today.

I got the 'I'll be seeing you soon' response from Grom also. I figured the quest would trigger when I killed some of the appropriate undead, but it didn't. Went back and hailed Grom and he gave the quest
that they are making the tasks non linear or in a pop-up window format. i think they are breaking him in order to get that done

I am Kindly and I don't even think Ally will help with this guy, he seems broken. His bracketed text is [lend her a hand] and it doesn't work. The odd thing is that his text is pink, not white, dunno if that means anything, maybe it indicates that Sony has it turned off?
His response changed now that I've done Bold TextHow The Mighty Have Fallen Bold Text but I still can't get a task from him.
I'm guessing we just need higher faction?

I have compleated How the Mighty Have Fallen and I am kindly now. Grom won't give me Undead Slayer still. Anyone help me as to why.
have you done recycled arms?
