This is the fifth of nine tasks in a quest arc for a +25 Purity augmentation. It begins with Dwinn Axeheaver who can be found in the Loping Plains in the Fang Breakers camp near the zone-in from the Steamfont Mountains at -1407, -3264.
This task is offered automatically upon completing the previous one. You have been assigned the task 'Assessing the Danger'. Assess the danger of the orcs to the west 0/1 (Loping Plains) Run towards the Hills of Shade. Just as you get into the worg area you will get jumped by four wereorcs. Only the two ambushers matter. They are all snareable/rootable. Kite them long enough or get them to a certain amount of hps. They will give an emote and despawn for the task update. Once you hurt the ambusher enough... a Bloodmoon ambusher says 'Pathetic weaklings! You should learn to mind your own affairs rather than interfere with the Bloodmoon orcs. You have had a stroke of fortune though we smell the blood of the Shadowmanes on you. We cannot allow any of them to live in these plains.' a Bloodmoon assassin says 'It's those wretched Shadowmane that are responsible for our torture. They hunted us down and tore into our camps that fateful night in the Faydark. This is an opportunity for vengeance we cannot turn away from. Consider yourself lucky and leave. If you come this way again you will be torn apart!' With those final words the orcs rush in the direction of the Shadowmane camp. Your task 'Assessing the Danger' has been updated. Return to Dwinn and tell him about the ambush 0/1 (Loping Plains) You say, 'Hail, Dwinn Axeheaver' Dwinn Axeheaver says 'An Ambush? Ye managed to fight yer way free of it I see. Good Work! But the orcs mentioning those Shadowmane has me concerned. What significance does the Shadowmane attack on the orcs have? Are these orcs infected with the curse of lycanthropy? It would surely explain much that we've been investigating. If that is true though, it brings up a new [question].' Completion of this task leads into a sixth task in the series. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
