If you start at Kaladim (or even Felwithe or Kelethin), this is a great way to earn some gold for newbies. There is a bard in the Butchblock Dock area, one in Felwithe (turn right when you enter the city, he's under a lamppost), and a third in Kaladim (in front of Pub Kal). All three letters go to Jakub Webdancer in the Kelethin Bards' Guild. Just stick to the paths and it shouldn't be too risky (it'll take a while, though).

Just a short clarification. You can carry more than one letter even though they seem identical.
So go to the docks for the first, go into Kaladim for the second, follow the road to Felwithe for the third and then deliver all three at once to Jakub. Portal back to Kaladim (or preferably the docks) and repeat. (Gets repetetive but could get you some easy cash if your a cleric when there isnt anybody online that you could group with.)

In the mail delivery quest, you talk to a bard NPC and say "I am interested". If they have mail to deliver, then they will mention a place or two that they want mail delivered to. If you say "I will deliver to <wherever>", then they will give you a pouch or letter to deliver to that city, and tell you the NPC to deliver to in that city.
There are bards in most cities that want mail delivered. There are also solitary bards in some other zones that have mail to be delivered too.
A word of warning, in Freeport and Qeynos, there are two NPCs that mail can be delivered to. One takes pouches, and the other takes letters. In Freeport, Ton Twostring takes the pouches, and Felisity Starbright takes the letters. In Qeynos twe two are Eve Marsinger and Tralyn Marsinger, but I forget which one takes pouches and which takes letters. At least one NPC that tells you to deliver to one of the cities tells you to take it to the wrong NPC in that city (at least this used to be true, maybe they've fixed it by now). In Freeport and Qeynos, the NPCs that accept pouches are also the ones that have mail to deliver to other places. The NPCs that accept letters do not have mail to deliver to other places.

I think this may have changes now. Felisity takes the pouches from Kelethin, anyway. Ton Twostring gives the pouches for Kelethin. I've been running this route ragged with an alt on one of the new servers. Good way to get some easy exp and cash.

Tralyn Marsinger is the one to give letters to, while pouches go to Eve.
