This is an event in the Meldrath's Majestic Mansion raid expedition.

The Tactical Prototype can be found in the giant room on the top floor of the mansion (southwest corner). It is not KOS and will not attack until provoked. See a few visuals of the room below.

The Prototype's melee capabilities and AE effects depend largely upon how you handle the shifting platforms seen on either side of the room. To begin with, it hits for a max ~13,000 (varies later on); AE rampages for full damage (constant); and casts the spell "Steam Blast" (constant). It will enrage at low health.

Steam Blast: PB AE 300', Fire (-250)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 8000
2: Decrease Hitpoints by 1000 per tick

Battle Drones

Once the Prototype hits 90% health, the battle drones (24 of them; 12 on each side) activate and march onto the colored squares on either side of the room (screenshots of the room can be found below). Each square is a platform (a shifting steam vent).

For every drone on a particular platform color, the Prototype gains an ability (the more drones on a particular color, the more frequency):

White: Regeneration? Or shift stance?
Green: Adds from the ramp area
Red: Flurry
Blue: AEs? Steam Rupture?
Black: ???
Yellow: ???

(Need information on each color.) Some insight from emotes...

a battle drone says 'Routing steam from steamblaster to blue steamtank. . .'

a battle drone says 'Summoning additional support. . . routing steam to green steamtank. . .'

a battle drone says 'Routing steam from battle systems to red steamtank. . .'

a battle drone says 'Entering regeneration mode. . . routing steam to white steamtank. . .'

Bolts of power fly from the Tactical Prototype as the pressure from the yellow steam tank interferes with its operations.

Jets of steam vent from the Tactical Prototype as the white steam tank reaches critical pressure..

You can move the battle drones to less-damaging colors by giving them commands:

You say, 'Hail, a battle drone'

a battle drone says 'Awaiting orders to move, [left], [right], or [forward].'

Each command given to a drone lowers its health by 5% (they regenerate). It'll move in the direction you tell it, UNLESS:
- you tell it to move off the board
- you tell it to move onto an already-occupied platform
- you tell it to move onto a raised platform
- you tell it to move when it's already mobile
- you tell it to move when it's at 0% health

a battle drone says 'Location invalid. Cancelling command.'

a battle drone says 'Completing previous command. Unable to accept new commands.'

Steam Vents

There are levers at the back of the room (see picture below) which must be pulled when a steamtank nears critical pressure. For instance:

Alert! Green steamtank nearing critical pressure!

Someone should then pull the green lever to raise that color's platforms:

The sound of hissing steam fills the room as the platforms shift.

(What is the penalty for not doing this? Need more information about this event mechanic..) Some emotes you may see:

The Tactical Prototype repairs itself as steam from the green tank is routed to repair systems.

Tactical Prototype XXVII says 'Activating control boards. . . green and red steam valves open. . .'

Tactical Prototype XXVII says 'Red steam valve closed. . . opening release valve. . .'

The spell "Steam Rupture" is cast in the event of failure to pull the proper switch called.

Steam Rupture: Directional 500', Unresistable (0)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 10000
2: Decrease Hitpoints by 4000 per tick

The Engineers

Once the Prototype hits 75% health, four battle room engineers spawn. They will attempt to move the battle drones around themselves:

a battle room engineer says 'Move to the right you pile of scrap!'

a battle room engineer says 'Get moving you rusty heap! Forward!'

a battle room engineer says 'Go left! Left I tell you!'

They can be attacked and killed, and do not fight back. They are unmezzable, unstunnable, unsnareable, and cannot be highsunned. They CAN be blinded. They respawn quickly upon their death.

Stance Changes

Starting midway through the fight, the Prototype will begin shifting stances. These may be influenced by battle drone positions - this is not known for certain (insight would be appreciated):

The prototype shifts into a defensive stance. (hits for less; mitigates damage)

The prototype shifts into an aggressive stance. (hits much harder, up to ~19,000 per hit; takes more damage)

The prototype shifts into a balanced stance. (regular mode)

Viral AE

Once the Prototype hits 50% health, it begins casting the spell "Zot" on random people (five at a time every minute or so). Shortly after this spell lands on a player, it will attempt to cast itself on any players within a 100' radius (in other words, get away from the raid if you get hit with Zot).

Zot: Single Target, Magic (-425)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 8000
2: Stun(5.00 sec)
3: Improved Spell Effect(Zot)

Occasionally get wacky crap happening. Sometimes mobs get told to path onto a green square but if its raised they dont appear to move but the game thinks they did and starts popping adds. We put the 2 board controllers plus 2 others on blinding engineers to minimize changes. If adds pop look for a drone facing a green square and move him he may be considered to be on a different square than he shows.

Prototype takes the most damage when he is aggressive but need really tight heals on a good tank during that phase. If your healing or tanking is weak back all off and summon tank him through the aggressive phase. Better to keep DPS on if you can during this.
