This is a sub-task in the task "The Search for the Ultimate Story". Midway through, it is given to you automatically by Clockwork Warmarshal.

While this task is technically "solo", you will need a strong group to complete it. Another option would be to have Divine Aura cast on you right before training your way to an update location.

You say, 'Hail, Clockwork Warmarshal'

Clockwork Warmarshal says 'You are truly magnificent. You have done what no one else here was able to. You now have access to Meldrath's Mansion. Enter it and snoop around. I am sure there are areas we would love to have valuable information on. I should also warn you that you will first need to configure your key with the door.'

You have been assigned the task 'Explore the Mansion'.

Search the Oil Fountain Room for any special clues 0/1 (Meldrath's Majestic Mansion)

This room is straight ahead as you zone in from Fortress Mechanotus. It should be fairly obvious.

Search the Steam Stage Room for any special clues 0/1 (Meldrath's Majestic Mansion)

This room is located on the top floor of the mansion. To get to this floor you must take the "elevator room" -- a room which literally acts as an elevator. From the Fortress zone-in, go up the left ramp and then down the hall, turn left into a room, turn right and out the door and dead ahead is the door to the elevator room. Click the object in the middle of the room to activate the elevator.

Search the Glass Wall Room for any special clues 0/1 (Meldrath's Majestic Mansion)

Head straight from the zone-in, past the Oil Fountain Room, and through two (?) more doors. You will eventually hit the "Glass Wall Room", a long hallway with a green glass wall in the middle.

Search the Compression Room for any special clues 0/1 (Meldrath's Majestic Mansion)

The best way to get here would be through the entrance from the Steam Factory. Go through the door straight from the Factory zone-in. In this hallway, go through the first door on the left to reach the Compression Room.

Search the Steamwork Graveyard for any special clues 0/1 (Meldrath's Majestic Mansion)

The best way to get here would be through the entrance from the Steam Factory. Go through the door straight from the Factory zone-in, all the way down the hallway. You will come to another door which leads to the graveyard.

After the last location update:

Fascinating. You should return to the Clockwork Warmarshall with all of the information you have discovered.

Sep 2016 - going around with a raid and one of the folks got no update to the "Explore the Mansion". He has done all previous steps, did the key stuff / hailing and gets no single update in the room. Three times completely cleared the rooms and he run around for update - nothing.
It seems this quest has some issues... like many things in EQ...:(

I made it to the top floor with the west elevator, but could not get out of the elevator room. Clicking on the door that exits to the hallway netted me a robot. With him out of the way I still could not leave the elevator room.

Locations for updates ingame, rather than general estimates on maps.

The numbers don't have to be exact, but are close enough.
0 180 180 , the "not needed" numbers are the color code
2 is the lable size

Did this tonight solo with the rogue shroud. Didn't die once. Just have to be careful, some clockwork reavers and bio masses see thru the rogue invis, but really its no different than the eyes in crystallos, just wait till they path by, give yourself pleanty of safe room and take your time. Patience and you wont die at all.
What if I deleted this sub task by accident?

What if in my hurry and list of a million tasks to finish, I deleted the MMM search sub task "Exploring the Mansion"? Can I get it again or do i have to start the Ultimate story all over again. Please tell me I can get the sub task again............

Blobs see invis. most normal mobs don't, other than undead. Beware, getting to the thrid floor, using elevator, blobs sit at the top waiting for you.

I did this today with invis potions and a little luck. You can get the oil fountain and the hallway after it with just invis. Nothing saw me doing either of these.

I then did the basement parts, which are a bit tricky. You have to take the ramp down because there are suits in the other room. In the ramp room (SF zone) there is a biodisposal mass that sees invis. I zoned out to SF and back in, then ran around him and did part one with just invis; mobs saw me. The graveyard had a biodisposal mass and two undead reavers + a zombie who all saw me, but I just ran at them in a circle and got the update. Invulnerability would give you the added comfort of knowing you can run all over just incase you fear missing the trigger spot.

Finally, I did the top floor section. I just used invis and ran around, though there was another a biodisposal mass in the Stage Room which I had to avoid.

No major issues at all.

Can you actually get the task updates while invis or do you have to be visible? I ran all around the compression room while invis and got no update.

Map Locations are great! And I sure thank you for listing them. Unfortunately, the locations listed for this task don't exist in world.. ..they are simply guesstimates of the general area and are placing a dot on your map in that general area.

For example Location #1: P 0.5188, -176.0995, -0.9355, 0, 180, 180, 2, #1_Oil_Fountain_Room

I personally don't know how to walk 3 feet into the floor from the main floor depth of 2.89.

Does anyone have the actual trigger locations for this task by chance?

There are TWO elevator rooms in MMM.

One is connected to the room with M.E.G. and one is further east, the further east one is close to the Steam Stage.

Compression room is gotten to from the Steam Factory entrance. Go in, and take the first door on the left side of the hallway as you are running toward the graveyard - I got it running around in that room.

For the Stage, you have to take the elevator room (whole room is an elevator) up to the top, and then its on that floor. From the Fortress zone in, go up the left ramp and then down the hall, turn left into a room, turn right and out the door and dead ahead is the door to the elevator room. If you get an emote about clicks and gears, that means it was up top and is on the way down...otherwise the door will open. Wait for the door to close once you are inside, then click the center post in the middle of the room, then click a doorway to get it to move up. There is nothing in the room normally, so the only thing with you will be the train of mobs you brought...or you can send a decoy down the hall ahead of you to get the mobs away, then go in the elevator room alone (best thing to do cause its workings are not real smooth - sometimes takes several tries to get it to let you out on the top floor). Once up top you can send an eye around to find the Stage room.
