This task is the second in a series. You are assigned this task at the end of "Find Findel".
Jarvis says 'Something's been strange about Fendel these last few weeks, and he won't speak a word of it to me. Have a chat with him when he's less guarded and see if you can find out what's going on in that head of his.' You have been assigned the task 'The Green Faerie'. Speak with Fendel 0/1 (Hills of Shade) You say, 'Hail, Fendel' Fendel chortles, 'Pull up a chair and have a drink. The gods know I've had enough. I couldn't possibly put [another one] down. You say, 'another one?' Fendel says 'I take that back. If we had any real spirits here, not this watered down grog that Shifty is peddling, I could. A drop of absinthe would hit the spot. But where would you find [absinthe] in this place?' You say, 'what is absinthe?' Your task 'The Green Faerie' has been updated. Fendel says 'Old Scheffer used to have several bottles of the stuff that he brought with us on the voyage. I wonder if he has any left.' Speak with Old Scheffer 0/1 (Hills of Shade) See subtask "Absent Absinthe" Collect 1 Absinthe 0/1 (Hills of Shade) Deliver 1 Absinthe to Fendel 0/1 (Hills of Shade) Fendel lifts his glass and toasts, 'To beauty! And also to radiance, splendor . . . and to adoration and cherishment. A toast to those and many other words that escape my tongue.' Fendel continues to ramble on. The absinthe is clearly starting to affect him. Your task 'The Green Faerie' has been updated. Under the influence of a beverage with kick, Fendel revealed the cause of his recent strange behavior: he is in love. You have been assigned the task 'Light My Fire'. Fendel continues, 'What is a word? How can the utterance of a simple sound accurately describe the beauty of a flower? It cannot! Words cannot do her justice!' Fendel's voice grows louder. You suspect the entire town can hear his ranting now. Fendel continues, 'I drink not for the sake of drinking, but because it dulls the pain. Ah to be away for a moment. Even a moments is an eternity. How many nights have I tossed and turned, unable to rest, tormented by the very thought of her? It's been too long since I've seen my Amber. Wait, what was that noise? Is Jarvis yelling? This sounds serious! We should go see what he wants.' A small green faerie is now floating in front of Fendel You say, 'Hail, a green faerie' a green faerie giggles, 'Tee hee!' | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

If you did the absinthe task before getting this quest, you can update the Collect 1 Absinthe 0/1 (Hills of Shade) portion by handing it into Fendel anyways.
