This task begins with Ryveron in the Loping Plains.
You say, 'Hail, Ryveron' Ryveron says 'Hello, my name is Ryveron and I'm Firstlight Alcove's builder. I have a couple of tasks that I could use [assistance] with if you are interested.' You say, 'I'll give you some assistance' Ryveron says 'As you can see, we have started rebuilding this are into our new home here in the Loping Plains. If you wish, you could help us by acquiring some materials for me. You have been assigned the task 'Rebuilding - Clay'. Loot 10 Mound of Clay from restless alligators 0/10 (Loping Plains) Deliver 10 Mound of Clay to Ryveron 0/10 (Loping Plains) Rewards: Experience Faction with Fang Breakers If you've completed this task, the two other "Rebuilding" tasks, and "The Lost Necklace" (linked on the left), you also get a Pair of Glowing Wereorc Eyes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Gators found at Southeast beach. Spawn times are really quick. I would start at Southwest most part where they spawn then go East, killing them all. Then I would swim just off the shoreline and kill the one that is just in the water on the Southwestern most part. By the time I was done, the gators start to respawn already. Took me maybe an hour with my 3box team to complete them all.
Drop rate is nowadays significantly better than earlier and the spawn timer is about 5 min.

I would say the drop rate is slightly lower then 1 in 10, probably more like 1 in 15 so you'll need to clear the beach 15-20 times like I did to get all the clays.
The one redeeming grace is that the alligators have a pretty fast respawn timer.
PS: The alligators are located on the beach area SE of Bloodmoon Keep.

Are the clay pre-lootable?

The drop rate on the clay appears to average out to be about one in ten, at least in the small sample I did. I killed just under 50 gators to get five lumps of clay.

That task gives around 40% AA XP at level 80 (not counting the current 25% bonus).
