This group mission is the third in a series of five and begins with Larquin Fangbreaker who can be found in the Loping Plains in the Fang Breakers camp near the zone-in from the Steamfont Mountains.

It follows the group task 'Walking Into Spider Webs'.

You say, 'Hail, Larquin Fangbreaker'

Larquin Fangbreaker says 'Welcome back ____. I had a [favor] I was hoping to ask of you.'

You say, 'What favor?'

Larquin Fangbreaker says 'One of our scouts, Hurley Bronzebeard, was sent on a mission to gather information inside Bloodmoon Keep. It has been many days since he entered the keep and we fear he may have been captured. If he was captured he's most likely being held in the prison just north of the stables. Enter the prison and rescue Bronzebeard. Do it quietly as possible. They may move him if they know you're coming for him, or worse kill him.'

You have been assigned the task 'Bronzebeard's Fate'.

One of Larquin's fellow werewolf hunters was captured while trying to scout Bloodmoon Keep. Enter the jail of Bloodmoon Keep and rescue Hurley Bronzebeard. It's likely he's being held in the jail cells just north of the stables.

Enter Bloodmoon Keep 0/1 (Loping Plains)

Loot 5 Bloodmoon Shackle Keys 0/5 (Bloodmoon Keep)

The keys are looted from the Bloodmoon jailors.

Free 5 slaves 0/5 (Bloodmoon Keep)

Hand a shackle key to a slave to free it. Most of the slaves are gnomes, although there is also a Dwarf and High Elf or two. If you're KOS to these NPCs' home cities, they will scowl at you and reject the keys. Illusions can boost your faction with them (if it's not too low). You can also use Sneak to hand them in.

As you hand in keys, you'll get faction hits:

For Gnomes:
Giving a key to 'a gnome slave':

[Tue Aug 01 09:48:21 2017] A gnome slave sprints for the door before you can ask her anything. So much for gratitude.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:21 2017] A gnome slave says, 'Flee while you still can! They're animals!'
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:21 2017] Your faction standing with King AkAnon has been adjusted by 1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:21 2017] Your faction standing with Eldritch Collective has been adjusted by 1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:21 2017] Your faction standing with Gem Choppers has been adjusted by 1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:21 2017] Your faction standing with Dark Reflection has been adjusted by -1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:21 2017] Your faction standing with Meldrath has been adjusted by -1.

For Dwarves:
Giving a key to 'a dwarf slave':

[Tue Aug 01 09:48:29 2017] A dwarf slave sprints for the door before you can ask her anything. So much for gratitude.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:29 2017] A dwarf slave says, 'Flee while you still can! They're animals!'
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:29 2017] Your faction standing with Storm Guard has been adjusted by 1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:29 2017] Your faction standing with Kazon Stormhammer has been adjusted by 1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:29 2017] Your faction standing with Miners Guild 249 has been adjusted by 1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:29 2017] Your faction standing with Merchants of Kaladim has been adjusted by 1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:29 2017] Your faction standing with Craknek Warriors has been adjusted by -1.

For Elves:
Giving a key to 'an elf slave':

[Tue Aug 01 09:48:51 2017] An elf slave sprints for the door before you can ask her anything. So much for gratitude.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:51 2017] An elf slave says, 'Flee while you still can! They're animals!'
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:51 2017] Your faction standing with Emerald Warriors has been adjusted by 1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:51 2017] Your faction standing with Indigo Brotherhood has been adjusted by -1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:51 2017] Your faction standing with Merchants of Felwithe has been adjusted by 1.
[Tue Aug 01 09:48:51 2017] Your faction standing with Kelethin Merchants has been adjusted by 1.

You'll see these responses as you hand in the first four keys:

a gnome slave sprints for the door before you can ask her anything. So much for gratitude.

a dwarf slave says 'Who? What? Never heard of him. Of course I've seen nothing but the inside of this cell for the last two weeks. Good luck, and try not to get yourself killed in here!'

an elf slave hugs you and makes a beeline straight for the door. "Sorry, never seen a Hurley in here!"

an elf slave says 'I think he was in the cell next to me, at least I saw some dwarf getting dragged in there three days ago.'

And on freeing the fifth slave:

a gnome slave says 'Hurley? You mean that dwarf they caught spying in the stables a few days ago? I haven't seen him since they caught him, but most of the able bodied prisoners are forced to work in the mines. If you're fool enough to go looking, you'll probably find him down there.'

Rescue Hurley Bronzebeard 0/1 (Bloodmoon Keep)

Task Window Says: One of the slaves believes Hurley was taken to the mines. Continue your search there.

Hurley can be found in a room to the north of the mining caverm. As you open the door to the room in which Hurley lies, you can see that three Bloodmoon orcs are gathered around him.

a Bloodmoon jailor roars a Hurley's limp body moans on the floor in front of him. The dwarf has obviously been tortured repeatedly since he's been captured. His clothes are torn and covered with layers of blood and vomit. You doubt he can survive much longer.

a Bloodmoan jailor looks down the hallway towards you and roars loudly. Hurley's other two captors turn towards you with bloodlust in their eyes.

Actually, all three charge you. After dealing with this trio, hail Hurley:

You say, 'Hail, Hurley Bronzebeard'

Hurley Bronzebeard staggers to his feet as you approach. It takes a great effort for him to mouth a few broken words as you approach. "Mu. . . t. . .go. . .away. . . kill. . .." You notice a number of what appear to be bite marks along his arms.

Hurley Bronzebeard's features begin to stretch and tear as he transforms into a werewolf!

Kill Hurley Bronzebeard 0/1 (Bloodmoon Keep)

Task Window Says: Hurley has been inflicted with the curse of the Bloodmoon! You must kill him to free him from his curse!

Hurley hits for a max ~1,100.

Hurley Bronzebeard has been slain by _____!
Your task 'Bronzebeard's Fate' has been updated.

Speak with Lanquin Fangbreaker 0/1 (Loping Plains)

Your task 'Bronzebeard's Fate' has been updated.

You say, 'Hail, Larquin Fangbreaker'

Larquin's eye's grow wide with horror as you relay the fate of his friend Hurley. 'These beasts will [pay] for what they did to Bronzebeard. I swear it on my life!'

By the way the freeing of the slaves is also faction based from what I can tell. As an Iksar none of the slaves would accept the key, so I would suggest a good race do the key looting so you don't spend too much time clearing.

As an iksar, only the gnome slaves would accept a key from me, not the elves or the dwarves :( Tried bear form, minotaur, and ancient iksar, and none of them helped ...
