This solo task begins with Overvolt Rigster the IV, a gnome in a camp beside a large telescope east of the zone to the Steamfont Mountains. You will need a group of at least three in order to complete the task.

You say, 'Hail, Overvolt Rigster the IV'

Overvolt Rigster the IV says 'Hi there _____! I'm Overvolt Rigster, though you probably already know that. My name is echoed in the halls and streets of Ak'Anon and beyond! I've been out here in Dragonscale Hills for what seems like an eternity, trying to find adventurers such as yourself to do [business] with. I need to continue to provide the finest goods to my associates!'

    You say, 'Business?'

Overvolt Rigster the IV says 'Why yes, business! Surely you know what goods I sell and what goods I'm looking for! My merchant-ware is echoed in the halls and streets of Ak'anon of course! I'm looking for other [opportunists] like myself that might be out to make a quick buck or two. Are you one of those?'

    You say, 'Opportunists?'

Overvolt Rigster the IV says 'Aye! I've got several jobs that I need able bodied adventurers to acquire mechanical parts and supplies so that I can further my trade. Would you be [interested] in acquiring a few items for me? If you've got any friends who may want to help out, I've also got some other specific [jobs] that I need groups of people to do for me.'

    You say, 'I am interested'

Overvolt Rigster the IV says 'Good! For starters, I need someone to [explore] the Mechamatic Guardian and bring me a map of that giant behemoth. There's so much potential for scrap parts and supplies there, but I don't know where to look! Next, I need someone to acquire [modulators] and [stabilizers] for me. To be used in the production of various clockwork and steamwork contraptions! Finally, I need you to find one of my [scout clockworks] that I sent into the Guardian to explore the zone. It's very valuable to me and I'd like to get it back here safe and sound. While these are individual tasks, you will need to gather some friends to go with you into the guardian. Let me know if you'd like to gather some folks and [head into] the Mechamatic Guardian.'

    You say, 'Scout Clockworks?'

Overvolt Rigster the IV says 'My scout clockwork Arakyd hasn't reported back to me in weeks. I fear he has malfunctional motivator! Here, take this motivator and try and reactivate the clockwork. It will need to be escorted to the nearest teleport pad and from there it can make its way back to me. I need it's report on the steamworks in the Mechamatic Guardian to proceed with a scavenging project! Let me know if you'd like to gather some folks and [head into] the Mechamatic Guardian.'

You have been assigned the task 'The Steamwork You're Looking For'.

Overvolt has asked you enter the Mechamatic Guardian and to search for the Scout Clockwork Arakyd. Once found, give it the Fuzzlecutter Motivator 5000 to hopefully jump-start it. Then escort the Scout to the nearest teleport pad.

Find the room where the clockwork that Overvolt sent to scout the Mechamatic Guardian is hiding (0/1) - The Mechamatic Guardian

You say, 'I'd like to head into the guardian'

With one or two people, you get this response:

Overvolt Rigster the IV says 'Unfortunately I will not give you access unless you have at least two other people with you.'

If you have a group of three or more people, you should be able to zone into the roaming Mechamatic Guardian via a doorway in its foot.

Scout Clockwork Arakyd may be found at -290, -155, -378, on the same floor that the B-B teleporter takes you to.

Give the Scout Clockwork Arakyd the Fuzzlecutter Motivator 5000. (0/1) - The Mechamatic Guardian

This stage is optional. As long as someone in your group hands in, you will get the escort update. Then, when you do the final hail, this stage will be flagged complete and you will still get the reward. You may safely turn in the motivator by hiding behind the pipes, but if you are invisible, you will see:

Scout Clockwork Arakyd says 'Error. Cannot see leader. Returning to start point.'

Escort the Scout Clockwork to the nearest teleport pad. (0/1) - The Mechamatic Guardian

Move (fairly slowly) back to the teleport pad that brought you up to the 3rd level and the Scout will follow you. If no mobs are in the way, this will take only about a minute.

Speak to Overvolt Rigster for your reward. (0/1) - Dragonscale Hills

You say, 'Hail, Overvolt Rigster the IV'

Overvolt Rigster the IV says 'Saving the Scout Clockwork increases my profitability by 262%! The information this clockwork carries is vital for my scavenger operations! Thanks for the help!'

If someone happens to invis or the escort errors, there is a possible trick to get around someone going out and retrieving a new task. Instead of just requesting the task once, request the task multiple times (drop, request, drop, request) so you get multiple Fuzzlecutter Motivator 5000's. So if the escort mob paths back to its beginning you can give him another Fuzzlecutter without wasting time. I filled up a backpack with them just in case.

if he errors and goes back to his start point, you will have to send someone out of the group mission instance to get this solo task over again in order to get the pig moving once more.... (better hope u have a mage for coh) and this kinda sux cuz the pig likes to error back to his start point alot apparently... first time he did it cuz ranger accidently camo'd the entire group, but the second time he error'd back to start we weren't sure why, the person who had used invis was not the person the pig was following :(

would recommend that NOONE uses invis AT ALL after activating the pig and while trying to escort the pig to the teleport pad

If you get the Guardian #3: Security? Yeah Right task from Overvolt, you only have to clear the mobs on the third floor instead of clearing all the way up.

The task stage says nearest teleport pad. iirc the nearest is behind you.

Just curious is the teleport pad in quest the one to the next floor or the one behind?

This task only requires one person in your group to turn in the Fuzzlecutter Motivator 5000. Once the turn in is done, all people in your group that have the solo task will get the task update.

The turn-in mob is a red-con to lvl 80 robopig named Scout Clockwork Arakyd. (Sorry I can never seem to remember to take screenshots, but the post below has a link to a pic.) Once the motivator is turned in, you have to escort the pig back to the teleporter.

The pig will path (or pace) constantly all over the place back and forth and back and forth while generally following the one who did the turn in. (I'm unsure if he had to say anything like "follow me" to it to get it to follow) It will also try to attack all the mobs in the way. My group just killed everything on the way to the teleporter while I casted memblur on the pig whenever he aggro'd on a mob. Then he'd just stand there until the mob was dead, and then start off on his usuall pacing/pathing. Rinse, repeat until you get to the teleporter, the pig poofs and all people that have the task get a task update. I waited until the final hail to Overvolt to destroy the motivator I had that I didn't use.

On the date of this post, all in group received the update once the pig made his escape.

Just be sure everyone also goes into his room to get that particular update, otherwise your quest will be incomplete.

Scout Clockwork Arakyd is located at (-289, -153, -378) on the same floor that the B-B teleporter takes you too. Not many SI mobs in the guardian but there are a few that need to be killed to progress deeper. You can safely turn in the Fuzzlecutter by hiding behind the pipes, but you will get: "Scout Clockworker Arakyd says 'Error. Cannot see leader. Returning to start point." if you are invis. Clearing is the only real option unless you can manage to train him the teleporter and survive.

    The Steamwork You're Looking For
Find the clockwork that Overvolt sent to scout the Mechamatic Guardian.
Give the Scout Clockwork Arakyd the Fuzzlecutter Motivator 5000.
Escort the Scout Clockwork to the nearest teleport pad.
Speak to Overvolt Rigster for your reward.

Finished as of 2:25 pm today. This zone has pretty fast respawns. ~ 12 mins
