This task follows the task "Catapult Repair".
Commander Gearswitch may be found at 330, 990, northeast of the windmills. You say, 'Hail, Commander Gearswitch' Commander Gearswitch says 'Greetings _____. Have you come to [assist] in the fight against Meldrath?' You say, 'I've come to assist' Commander Gearswitch says 'We appreciate your help with the ground forces lately, but it appears things have only gotten worse. We've been attacking his fortress as best we can, but his steamworks keep destroying our catapults. It's bad enough that we're running out of [materials] to keep them operational.' You say, 'Materials?' Commander Gearswitch says 'We need more wood to repair our catapults and more ammunition to fire at the fortress. As I said, things are getting worse for us. Are you willing to [help] us out?' You say, 'I will help' Commander Gearswitch says 'Excellent. Report back to me once you've obtained the supplies and I'll direct them to where they are most needed.' You have been assigned the task 'Fun with Explosives'. The forces of Ak`Anon are in a dire situation. They are running out of ammunition for ther catapults. They need to be resupplied if they are to continue the assault. Alchemist Irontooth near the Butcherblock corssroads has agreed to supply the gnomes with some special ammunition. Speak with Alchemist Irontooth Deliver 4 Grave Dust to Alchemist Irontooth Alchemist Irontooth spawns near a tree N.West of the crossroads in Butcherblock Mountains. (/loc: -727, +280) Note: He will despawn, and respawn at the same point every 30 seconds. You say, 'Hail, Alchemist Irontooth' Alchemist Irontooth says, '_______! You're here! Haha, you won't believe what I've cooked up! I've developed the best catapult ammunition ever! There's just one catch... testing the ammunition used up the last of my grave dust supplies to actually make them. Your task 'Fun with Explosives' has been updated. Alchemist Irontooth says, 'If you can [retrieve] several samples for me i can have the ammunition created as soon as you return.' You say, 'I will retrieve some samples' Alchemist Irontooth says, 'I've had the best luck finding grave dust on the undead around the Estate of Unrest. You'd be best off starting your search there.' Kill undead in Unrest until they drop 'Grave Dust (non-stackable, no-trade). Loot 4 Grave Dust and give them to Alchemist Irontooth. Upon turn-in, you receive 'Incendiary Bomb' and a selectable potion as rewards. Return to Commander Gearswitch. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
