Barnal Flamehand may be found at +455, -3295, in the city past the tunnel.
Barnal Flamehand will reward you with a rare spell it you bring him the scroll of Atol's Spectral Shackles, the scroll Tears of Druzzil, the scroll Inferno of AlKabor, or the scroll Pillar of Frost. Turning in one of these scrolls gets you one of the following four spells, at random: Abscond, Tishan's Discord, Thunderbold, and Tears of Solusek. You say, 'Hail, Barnal Flamehand' Barnal Flamehand says 'And a fine day to you, too, _____! What is it that brings you here? Fortune? Adventure? In either case, it will be more fun than the duty I have. I am to acquire what scrolls I can for the High Council of Erudin. And you're also in luck, as I seek the services of a mighty adventurer like yourself. Do you wish to [aid me in my duty]?' You say, 'I will aid you in your duty' Barnal Flamehand says 'Then you will do this for me. Venture beyond this outpost to the most distant lands and the darkest dungeons. Within them, the creatures with the greatest power will have scrolls. The residents here will be able to give you general locations of the most dangerous places. I wish to obtain the scrolls of Atol's Spectral Shackles, Tears of Druzzil, Inferno of Al'Kabor, and lastly, Pillar of Frost. Make haste, as the High Council cannot be kept waiting! Fear not, I shall [reward] you well.' You say, 'What reward?' Barnal Flamehand says 'I am not empty-handed. I have already located some of the most rare scrolls. I'll part with one of my four for what you return to me. Fare thee well!' Hand in one of the four scrolls mentioned above. Barnal Flamehand says 'Here is the scroll that I promised. FV was apprehensive to my drakkin enchanter and wizard, and they really didn't do any factioning. Quest done fine.
Once in FV, in the city past the tunnel, Barnal is the Erudite in the teal robe at loc 455 -3293 160. Hope you get to him safely.

Since the war this npc has moved to the island. New LOC is 454, -3297.
ok here's the scoop, when you zone in to FV from PoK book Invis in the tunnel, then go straight west out of the tullel to other side of map, there is a bridge into the Elvin Outpost well more of a tunnel, go through it this is the remaining good side of fv Flamehand is there as the other classes quest npc's are as well 8)

Dinged 54 tonight. Went to FV before I found out about quest. Looked up Thunderbold info when I couldn't find on a vendor then bound myself at Barnal Flamehand. Gated to Nexus bought one set of the four spells I needed for a total of 45pp. Gated to bind. Completed quest and received 2 Thunderbold spells, 2 Tishan`s Discord. Sweet deal seeing as there were only 2 traders selling spell for over 1k. [Purple][/Purple]

Lure of Flame is sold in the pok library by the Froglok Channeler.
The 4th spell handed out in exchange is actually Tishan's Discord.

He randomly swaps out one of these spells, I gave in 4 different spells and got 2 thunderbolds and 2 Tears of solusek (not on the list above yet)

i recomen fill a bag and do this quest it is verry randome 55 wissy i was given all the ones he can give with 20 spells good luck

are they just scroll spells...or a special type of scroll and where can you find them?

the scrolls are simply wizard spells that are dropped by mobs in various zones... these "scrolls/spells" can be either scribed into your spell book or given to Barnal Flamehand for the quest part.
I got most of mine in Skyfire zone. you must be Lvl 50ish in order to hunt here well.

turned in Tears of Druzzil and got Abscond
and he is looking for Pillar of Frost, before the text was bugged , this was fixed in one of the last patches.

I went to the quest NPC just now and he told me Pillar of Frost was one he was looking for, NOT Pillar of Lightning... can anyone attest to using either?
