This is an augmentation event in the first Frostcrypt raid expedition.

Haevnar, Hufdan, and Thuruld can be found west of the zone-in of Frostcrypt. Thuruld and Haevnar will disappear once they are aggro'd, leaving Hufdan alone.

Hufdan says 'For the glory of Zek!'

Hufdan despawns at 30% health. Thuruld spawns at full health.

Hufdan fades into nothingness.

Thuruld readies an icy weapon and attacks!

Thuruld emotes the following, which may indicate he's about to cast "Freezing Breath":

Thuruld gathers together several icy shards of pure death.

Freezing Breath: PB AE 200', Cold (-150)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 750
3: Decrease Attack Speed by 70%

Thuruld despawns at 30% health. Haevnar spawns at full health.

Thuruld fades into nothingness.

Haevnar says 'Tell the Wraithguard to stop sending others to do their work!'

Haevnar casts two spells:

Plague of Apathy: PB AE 100', Magic (-250)
1: Feign Death
2: Stun(10.00 sec)

Shards of Death: Self 0', Unresistable (0)
1: Increase Damage Shield by 100

Hufdan hits for ~4,300, flurries, and enrages (also slowable).
Thuruld hits for ~4,300, single-target rampages, and enrages.
Haevnar hits for ~6,000 (average much lower) and enrages.

Once Haevnar reaches 70%, Hufdan and Thuruld respawn. They should be killed in the order of: Haevnar, Thuruld, Hufdan. If killed out of this order, you chance having the slain giant respawn with 100% health.

After all three of them are dead, a frostbound chest spawns with loot.

Loot from this event includes 3 Glowing Obsidian Runes + 1 raid augmentation (first list) + 1 group augmentation (second list):

Etched Obsidian Shard
Fragment of Corrupted Ice
Frost-Etched Ruby of Vitality
Iridescent Pearl of Icy Precision
Molded Agate Trinket

Rune-Etched Granite Fragment
Shaped Turquoise Fragment

Clergyman's Stone of Purity

Easily 1 Grouped

Took down today 1 SK, 2 Clr, 1 War, 1 Berserker, 1 Monk, 1 Rogue, 2 Bards. Was overkill. Cleric/War/Bard all bots. Mains were half Tower gear, half UF T9. Each named had roughly 7m hitpoints, so bring some dps.

Despawns are time based not hp based.

Is this event able to be brought down by one group yet? It seems easiest of the augment events. Some of those augs are really nice.

I suppose so. I guess on the third phase, when all the giants have respawned, have someone kite the other two giants and kill the third. Once one of them are dead, just kill the other two giants one at a time.

Have 1-grouped this with some friends.
Monk, Monk, Shaman(boxed), Shaman(boxed), Ranger, Enchanter.
We didn't do any kiting or anything..
Monk, monk, ranger each devoted to tanking a giant. Shamans kept up heals on the 3 of us.. When the 3 were all up, we got solid agro on our giant, and then all burned one, then the other, etc.

When all three are alive, be sure to kill them in the following order:
1. Haevnar
2. Thuruld
3. Hufdan

I was originally told this order was best as it follows their order of difficulty. However the one time we operated under a different order, the giant we killed immediately respawned at 100%.
