This is the sixth event in the 'Solteris, the Throne of Ro' raid expedition. The event initiates itself on approach. Trash mobs around Commodus can be cleared by tethering the event adds across the bridge, causing them to reset.

There are a few parts to this event. First, the Aspects.

Eight giants called "Aspect of _____" surround Commodus. Four of them are attackable/aggroable. All have relatively large aggro ranges:

Aspect of Fortitude hits for ~4,000 and flurries.
Aspect of Justice hits for ~3,500 and AE rampages for full damage.
Aspect of Temperence hits for ~2,000 and is straight melee.
Aspect of Wisdom hits for ~4,000 and single-target rampages.

These giants must be balanced within 5-8% (?) of one another, otherwise they will greatly increase in strength. Once one of these four Aspects reach 50%, the remaining four become active:

Commodus, Solar Construct shouts, 'Final four Aspects, activate and destroy these invaders.'

Aspect of Ambition hits for ~4,000 and single-target rampages.
Aspect of Courage hits for ~2,000 and is straight melee.
Aspect of Devotion hits for ~3,500 and AE rampages for full damage.
Aspect of Resourcefulness hits for ~3,000 and flurries.

All eight giants' health must be balanced with one another. There is a hitch to this. Every 60-90 seconds, you will see this emote:

An Aspect of Commodus shakes violently as its life-force is siphoned.

At this moment one of the active Aspects lifetaps another Aspect for ~5% health, creating a problematic gap in their health (remember, they need to be balanced). Bring them back into balance as soon as possible. This must be done before you see this emote:

Commodus, Solar Construct begins to feel his Aspects' life-force again.

...Otherwise they gain significant strength.

Throughout the entire event, slime pools called "Liquid Magma" spawn and attack in waves of 2-3. They spawn under Commodus and can be mezzed. There is a limit of how many oozes can be up at once (~30?), so depending on your firepower the easiest way to cope with them may be to mez them. They do not have damage shields like their trash-mob counterparts.

Liquid Magma brightens and slithers toward you.

Also throughout the entire event, Commodus will cast the spells "Ground Strike" (hits everyone) and "Solar Strike" (five players at a time):

Ground Strike: PB AE 500', Prismatic (-470)
1: Decrease Spell Haste by 50%
2: Decrease Melee Attacks by 200%
3: Decrease HP when cast by 4000
(4 ticks)

Solar Strike: Single Target, Prismatic (-550)
1: Decrease HP when cast by 10000
2: Improved Spell Effect(Solar Strike Trigger)
3: Increase corruption counter by 16
(5 ticks)

Upon being hit with "Solar Strike" you receive the emote:

Your skin begins to blister as you are inflicted with Solar Strike.

If this is not cured in time, a DT will go off on the affected player:

Solar Strike Trigger, Unresistable (0)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 32000 per tick

Late into the Aspects portion of the event, Convergences of the Sun begin spawning 4-5 at a time. They pick a target and explode on them after a short period of time. These continue to spawn up until Commodus's death:

Convergence of the Sun begins to cast a spell. (Solar Flare)
Convergence of the Sun explodes on _____!

Solar Flare: Targeted AE 40', Prismatic (-550)
1: Stun(6.00 sec)

Convergences can be killed by casting a magic, cold, AND fire nuke on them, thus preventing the AE stun.

A Convergence of the Sun implodes and dissipates into the ether.

Commodus himself becomes active after all eight Aspects are dead:

Commodus, Solar Construct shouts, 'Fools, this fighting has gone on long enough. Face me now and perish!'

He hits for ~10,000; single-target rampages; and enrages. He also has a mem blur:

Commodus, Solar Construct surveys the area and chooses new prey!

Upon his death, a chest spawns with loot near the portal. The Liquid Magma adds do NOT despawn.

Commodus, Solar Construct has been slain by _____!

Commodus, Solar Construct's corpse says 'I have failed again! I meet death with sweet surrender.'

In the event of a wipeout, reset occurs after a few minutes pass without aggro:

Commodus, the Solar Construct shouts, 'Aspects, return to me!'

Loot from this event includes 2 Phosphene Clusters (400 Phosphenes each) + 2 Purified Drops of Focused Sunlight (signet ring upgrade) + 2 items from this list + 0-1 Faceted Sunshard (does not always drop).

With a box group of 100-105 this was a trivial event, I only needed to burn stuff down without bothering to study the encounter and I am not a particularly good boxer.

This is not bragging, just letting people know this is not one of the events like Rear Guard you need to study the mechanics of in order to do.

Thanks for the info! I might try this for the werewolf illusion neck.
