Ashengate Access: A Complex Diversion

This task begins with Zhubis the Griffin Tamer at location +960, -1045 in Direwind (this is south of Gatekeeper Kor, on the other side of the valley).
In order to request it, you must have ally faction with "Infiltrators and Traitors of Ashengate", must have completed the Vergalid's End 54-player raid task, and the solo task The Pretender. It can only be completed inside the Ashengate East raid expedition instance. You say, 'Hail, Zhubis the Griffon Tamer' Zhubis the Griffon Tamer glances from side to side, to ensure no one is watching, 'You've got a lot of nerve coming here, soandso I'll give you that. There's something different about you, isn't there? It's the hatred in your eyes... I find it quite unmistakable. You have been yearning for more than sticking it to Dyn`leth, you look as if you are ready to [challenge him] yourself. If your desire to see him fall is not yet as great as mine, I welcome you to continue aiding me in more of my menial but [essential tasks] to whittle away at the empire he has grown.' You say, 'essential tasks' Zhubis the Griffon Tamer nods, 'Then we are of the same mind, and this meeting is a fortuitous one. I'm not sure how you knew that I wished to speak to an outsider. I told no one. If I had it would have meant my execution. What I do understand is that I was born into a world for someone else's cause, meant to die for someone else's flawed beliefs. Though this has afforded me some interesting [information] that I could share.' You say, 'What information?' With my inside knowledge of Dyn'leth's army and the temple. I', sure we could wreak some havoc on the inner working of Ashengate. You have been assigned the task 'A Complex Diversion'. The proverbial Bixie's nest has been stirred up. By repeatedly meddling in the affairs of Dyn'leth's army, it seems we have provoked them into mobilizing. As we speak, the Eastern Wing is preparing a strike against Crescent Reach. They are unprepared for such an attack. Head into Ashengate and stop at nothing until you have Stitch's head. You must act quickly. It may already be too late! This is achieved by killing "Scarlet Legion" mobs in the zone, of which there are more than enough but you have to tag them otherwise you wont get credit. Attending and moving through a successfull raid expedition into Ashengate East completes all of these steps. Upon killing Stitch, the task ends and you receive a character flag. The 0/10 kills are achieved by killing "Scarlet Legion" mobs in the zone, of which there are more than enough but you have to tag them otherwise you wont get credit. The 0/10 ambush kills do NOT come from Stitches Ambush.

Any info as to where the stone span is? a loc? or can only be updated in an instance?

1) Make your way to the Stone Span
2) Survive the pitfall ledge
3) Make your way into the Arch
4) Repel the combatants in the area.
5) Kill Stitch
Basically, 1-4 can be done by heading through the east wing and going all the way to the dragon head beind where you kill griffon tamers. Go through the gate to kill Stitch. There's an ambush there, but we were able to set a banner and port back even though it was marked as an instance in task. /shrug.
