This group mission begins with Sergeant Zetren (click for map image) in Katta Castrum. He is located in the area south of the zone-in temple (/loc -595, 45)

    Pre-requisites for Requesting:
    - None

    You say, 'Hail, Sergeant Zetren'

Sergeant Zetren says, 'You are just in time, _____. If you are here to aid us you must act quickly.''

You have been assigned the task 'The Great Invasion'.

The Shissar are attempting another incursion into Atiiki. Assist the sphinx and prevent the Shissar from gaining control of the habitat.

Enter the Great Pyramid in Jewel of Atiiki 0/1 (Jewel of Atiiki)

The Jewel of Atiiki zone-in is at about -4220, 2550 in Katta Castrum (in the southwestern quadrant of the zone, it is the southeastern-most portal). Once in the Jewel of Atiiki, head to the southwestern pyramid and use the portal at the top to zone into the instance (/loc approximately -700, 750, 210).

Speak with Akarahotuten 0/1 (Jewel of Atiiki)

    You say, 'Hail, Akarahotuten'

Akarahotuten says 'Journey forth and unveil the mysteries in your mind.'

Fend off the Shissar invaders 0/10 (Jewel of Atiiki)

Destroy the priests focusing the portals 0/4 (Jewel of Atiiki)

Kill any 10 Shissar mobs, along with the four priests in the basement.

They are in four different end rooms on the lower floor. They are perma-rooted, so you can pull out their helpers and kill them first.

Some Noble Defenders will activate after you hail the sphinx and assist you. They wander their own path, though, so you can leave them unattended (they'll die if unaided, but this doesn't matter). They hit for a max ~520 or so.

All of the Shissar mobs hit for a max ~2,000; have ~80,000 hitpoints; and are stunnable and mezzable.

Upon the death of the fourth priest, the task completes and you see:

The shissar incursion has been thwarted for now, stay vigilant and prepared for any possible attempts in the future.

This mission is the perfect place to get your Archery and/or Throwing skills up if you want the achievements for weapon proficiency.
Teh Priests are level 77 (so will be light blue till 92) are perma rooted and do not summon. Bring as many arrows as you can carry, once the other shissar are cleared out of the way, you can /autofire on a priest and go watch tv for a while. ;)

The priests don't regen while you have aggro, but if you're a FD class or can mem wipe, they will regen once aggro is lost. Using low damage low delay weapons and you can skill up pretty quick with no real danger.

Contrary to the walk thru (as currently above), the priests are not in the same room.

They are in 4 different end rooms on the lower floor. The "a Shissar Priest" also seem perma-rooted so you can pull their helpers out and kill them first.

Just follow the Nobles and they will lead you to the area you need to be. They will likely be killed once you get to the lower floor, but that doesn't matter.

When killing the 4th Priest, at about 25%... he called the whole bottom floor to help him! I was solo with a T5 merc and was I surprised. I used my discs, focused on the Priest, used LoH for the big HoTT factor and used wave heals to kill him for the win.

Luckily I also had insta-gate and was able to escape alive after he died.

He doesn't call for help however, the 2 other Shissar in the room can warp when they get stuck in the wall trying to attack you. They will bring friends if you haven't cleared the bottome floor.

I do this mission with my 80war/80dru boxed combo. Takes me about 90 minutes, here are some suggestions.

First, you can attack the efreeti, and they dont hit back or aggro on you! ( once i got xp for this, but killing more produced no xp ) But how does this help you do the mission? Use snare and dispell. Or vinelash cascade.

there are 6 to 10 of these efreeti up at any time, and when they split up and suicide, new ones spawn at the top and begin descending, but the efreeti are now split up and not grouped. And bunching up the efreeti is very helpful. To this end, snare them all (this parks them in a bunch ), pull mobs into them single, and dispell the efreeti when you want them to move again. Again, they wont attack you or stay aggroed on you. However, if you leave them snare parked for too long, they will warp back to entrance.

My basic strat to single, with dru, is to snare/evac and run back down. This works if my 6 efreeti are snare parked near by so i can run back and pull snakes to the efreeti. Then i tank them with war, heal tank with dru, and keep the 6 efreeti alive and grouped. Can clear a path to the priests easy this way. ( evac and run back takes time though, which is why it takes me 90minutes to do what necros can do in like 45 minutes, plus my boxed group lacks dps, so im very dependent on using the efreeti for dps ).

Two of the priests can be burned down from a distance, without aggroing the two snakes that are in the same room with them. Two of the priests have buddies that agro. One way to handle the priest that has 3 snakes in his room that assist him is to use Vinelash cascade to root/snare em all, then entrap2 them, and pull them to some part of the zone out of the way, evac, then run back down and nuke that priest: this way you dont have to take the time to kill all these extra snakes. The first priest you encounter is a pita, he has a lot of buddies that aggro, about 4 to 6. just snare/evac and clear these by pulling them to the 6 snared efreeti. ( or snare/fd or whatever your pulling skills are. If no pulling skills, then just pull back to ent and zone out, the pathing splits up the snakes, this method is ghetto, but if no snare/fd/root/fade or escape than this is the best i can think of.

And when the mission is done, you can kill the efreeti for kicks, they do repostle, but they sort of chain memblur themselves, and dont really fight back. I dunno if this is an exploit, wonder if GMs would frown on it.

Doing this mission solo as a Necro, I was able to complete the task in under 42 minutes.
Duoing this mission with a Wizard, we were able to complete the task in 20 minutes flat.

    Timer is wrong

It tells you 6 hours, but you only get 3. It's a stretch, but with a mezzer, it's pretty doable.

Playing my necro, it took about 65 minutes on average. Once I brought in a wizard and a shaman, it was down to about 40 or 45 minutes.

Just kite the mobs to the nobles and help kill with spells or range weapons.

Either snare or FD are huge advantages. Both of these together are phenomenal for this mission.

I don't understand why it's not constantly at 25 orux, since it's easier and much more fun than Fates of the Combine.
