    This group mission is the fourth in a series of five. It begins with Macon Teach (click for map image), who is located at about 200, 3085 on the northeastern coast of Jardel's Hook in the Buried Sea.

    Pre-requisites for requesting:
    - Completion of "Buried Treasure"
    - Completion of "Running Rum"
    - Completion of "Reduce His Numbers"

    Upon completion of the previous task, you saw:

    Macon Teach believes that the removal of the recruits is just the first step in dealing with Sharpeye. He asks if you would like to [search] for a more direct way to deal with Sharpeye?

    You say, 'I will search for a more direct way'

    Macon Teach says 'Ha! Right on the money! I had ye figured fer a greedy dog. Take the ship to the island and see what ye can find.'

    You have been assigned the task 'Sharpeye's Folly: A Spy Among Them'.

    Sharpeye is difficult to pin down as he moves often. So to keep tabs on him, Jardel embedded a spy among his crew. Macon Teach wants you to go find the pirates. He has chosen a time when the pirates are partying and fights are expected to break out. Because of this, small altercations will not cause undue attention. The spy will be acting like he is drunk, so he should be easy to find.

    Purchase tickets to Blacksail Folly and catch the boat 0/1 (The Buried Sea)

    Buy a "Seafarer's Ticket: Blacksail Folly" from Dockmaster Angus at the dock (on the dock a little ways south) and keep it in your inventory. When the ship docks, step onto it and wait for it to sail out to the Buried Sea. Upon zoning, you'll find yourself in an instanced version of the island. (Next to you is a rowboat that serves as your zone-out.)

    Dockmaster Angus says 'You look like you've been at sea on a dangerous mission for a while? Perhaps you plan to head back out, in which case you're going to need to purchase another ticket before boarding the Isabeau.'

    You have entered Blacksail Folly.

    Locate the key to the Palisades 0/1 (Blacksail Folly)

    You'll have to loot another Palisade Key (dropped from the two named pirates just outside the front gate).

    Locate the spy 0/1 (Blacksail Folly)

    There are four mobs called "a drunken pirate" up when you zone in. You'll need to kill any 20-25 mobs in the zone (probably with exception to the weak-con tortoises wandering the coast) to spawn a fifth mob called "a drunken pirate". This mob is the spy you need to speak with. Location 4830, 595

    The fifth "a drunken pirate" is attackable and killable, so be sure not to kill it. He appears a short distance away from the northeastern camp in the first half of the Palisade. Hail him to update the task (he has no response).

    Return to the canoe 0/1 (Blacksail Folly)

    Near the zone-in point is a rowboat. You don't have to use it; just have to walk near it.

    Report what the spy said to Macon Teach (The Buried Sea)

    You say, 'Hail, Macon Teach'

    Speaking with the spy has resulted in some valuable information. Macon Teach would like you to take the information and [search] for Sharpeye and eliminate him.

    Okay our way :

    - Get the key
    - track - there where only 4 drunken pirates
    - killed 30 "Pirates" outside all, means on the beach ...
    - tracked again, 5 drunken up !
    - go inside
    - killed first drunken on right side
    - killed second on the left side
    - than we moved left to last hut in first area (not inner palisade)
    - there stands an drunken pirate a bit far away from all other
    - we tested to hail him without aggroing all other
    ! worked - Task update ! So you dont have to kill the other drunken
    enjoy :)

    Confirming that the 5th drunken pirate spawns next to the three huts left of the second gate (before entering it).

    We killed about 25 random pirates before killing the fourth drunken pirate. Killing the 4th spawned the 5th. (first time we did it we started out killing the drunken and still had to kill random pirates, so more then the drunken needed)

    Don't do what we first did (don't kill him!) :) Just go up to him and hail him.

    I can confirm that 5th drunken pirate spawns after 20 kills for myself next to a hut on the left of the 2nd gate ( the 20 kills were : 17 sharpeye recruits and 3 blacksail hounds ).

    i killed a lot of sharpeye recruits outside the gates after killing the 4 drunken pirates but the fifth drunken pirate didnt pop inside the gates. is there some kind of trick to getting him to pop, does he have a specific mob outside that has is a trigger and has to be killed? or maybe i just didnt kill enough recruits?

    i cleared the whole camp directly in front of the gate and some of the other mobs that were closer to the shore, but nothin

    It seems to be a matter of number of kills before the 5th Drunken Pirate spawns; I just kept at it (maybe 20-25 kills after the 4th drunken pirate) and he spawned next to the huts just before the 2nd gate.

    Kill the 4 drunken pirates inside the palisade. Then go back out onto the beach and kill the sharpeye recruits to spawn the 5th drunken pirate inside the palisade. Go back in and hail him.

    Any info on step 3 locating the spy would be helpful. Did this mission a few times with no luck spawning or finding the spy. There are about 5 drunken pirates which we had no luck killing or hailing. They are kos and specifically spawn upon zoning in for this mission only.
