This group mission is part of a series and begins with Flora Venloe (click for map image) in Katta Castrum. She is located northwest of the port-in area at about /loc 650, 650, -25.

    Pre-requisites for Requesting:
    - Completed "Evidence of Unity" (Flora's first mission)

    You say, 'Hail, Flora Venloe'

Flora Venloe says 'Hello _____. I assume you're the one that Parvus sent to assist me with the Thalassius situation? I'm afraid there's not much to tell yet. Just inconclusive reports of odd happenings with the kedge inside. We're looking for [evidence] of anything the kedge extremist might be up to.'

    You say, 'What evidence?'

Flora Venloe says 'I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something going on in Thalassius. We have received reports of the kedge being even more secretive than usual, and strange figures have been seen entering and leaving their habitat. The kedge hold many secrets, and we must find evidence of what could be going on over there. It would be most unpleasant to hold suspicions or accuse without some proof of wrongdoing. Please look into it!'

You have been assigned the task 'Sea Serpents'.

Flora Venloe has asked you to kill two of the kedge that have been trading information with the shissar. It is believed two of Rhzas`Kataka's lieutenants are the contacts for the exchange. If you should encounter them, slay them as well.

Find your way to Thalassius 0/1 (Katta Castrum)

This takes place in an instanced version of Thalassius. Enter via the northeastern-most portal in Katta Castrum's southeastern quadrant.

After zoning in, head into the complex and turn west. The four named mobs are in pairs in two different rooms. They can all be rooted/snared.

Kill Ulthagor Polaris 0/1 (Thalassius the Coral Keep)

Kill Wulthin Unagi 0/1 (Thalassius the Coral Keep)

Kill Rak`Tharak 0/1 (Thalassius the Coral Keep)

Kill Salashar the Blade 0/1 (Thalassius the Coral Keep)

All nameds summon when damaged; have ~150,000 hitpoints; and can be split from each other (NOT aggro-linked).

Ulthagor Polaris (magician caster; max hit ~2,400; single-target rampages; immune to mez/stun) and Rak`Tharak (max hit ~2,600; casts "Venom Blast"; stunnable but not mezzable) can be found one floor up in the tower at the southernmost point of the complex. He single-target rampages.

Ulthagor Polaris flails its arms and moves forward to attack!
Rak`Tharak hisses, 'Empresss Saarisz will have your soulsss for thisss!'

Ulthagor Polaris has been slain by _____!
Ulthagor Polaris's corpse stumbles backward before crumpling into a heap of fluids.

Rak`Tharak has been slain by _____!
Rak`Tharak's corpse clutches its wounds and coughs, green blood spattering from its mouth.

Wulthin Unagi (magician caster; max hit ~2,400; single-target rampages; immune to stun/mez) and Salashar the Blade (max hit ~2,600; flurries; casts "Venom Blast"; stunnable but not mezzable) can be found in a room southwest of the zone-in.

Wulthin Unagi flails its arms and moves forward to attack!
Salashar the Blade hisses, 'Empresss Saarisz will have your soulsss for thisss!'

Wulthin Unagi has been slain by _____!
Wulthin Unagi's corpse stumbles backward before crumpling into a heap of fluids.

Salashar the Blade has been slain by _____!
Salashar the Blade's corpse clutches its wounds and coughs, green blood spattering from its mouth.

Speak with Flora Venloe 0/1 (Katta Castrum)

Flora Venloe says, "So Rhzaz`Kataka's lieutenants are dead and the two kedge contacts have been killed. Well done! Perhaps now it is time to attack Xao Aulin [directly].

    Last 2 nameds are hard

Three chars with mercs @ level 75. Like what previous post mentioned. The first 2 nameds are cake. The last two will be hard. You can mindlessly rush every mob until the last two mobs area. You will get a minimum of 6 adds which will easily overwhelm a group of 75's. This is probably the only spot where you can experience a death. Haven't done this in less than an hour yet at level 75 but I'm sure a level 80 group or higher can.
    Final Pull
    # Dec 24 2008 at 10:43 PM Rating: Decent
To make the final pull for the last two named, pull the add that is around the corner to the left in the final room, then only the snake named will come with him. After that named and add are killed, pulling the other named and add is cake (as long as you can handle two mobs at once). Enjoy the spoils.

    I got SOOOO lucky.
Just finis w/ 2 box 80s, shm war, and 2 mercs clr war. 700aas, no raid gear.

The final room, to be exact, is a square room over the water at the top of the elevator. It has 6 mobs in it. There is a square ledge over the water with a bridge to the room. The nameds were even con. Since I was boxing and my mercs are complete idiots, I definately didnt want both nameds or the whole room at once. The unnamed were light blue or dark blue.
There are two mobs that roam and cross the bridge. Kill these first. As they crossed the bridge, my sham pulled em with slow. On each pull, I got one of the mobs that "hides" around the corner in the room to add. So lucky. After that, I only had 4 mobs left in the room to worry bout.
If you can get the "hiders" on ether side first, you've got 4 mobs left.
I placed my team on the SE ledge corner and AA rooted Ulthagor because he was on the far right. This was lucky cuz he's a caster. The shissar Rak and 2 adds then agroed me back to the group. One even con, 1 db, 1 lb. When Ulthagor's root broke Rak was already dead. He stopped on the bridge to range cast and I rooted him again with regular gem loaded root while the group kept killing adds. Wasn't easy, the war merc died, but my toons succeeded and got paid.
    Named
    # Aug 13 2008 at 1:58 AM Rating: Decent
    First 2 named
Flurries, Enrages, Max hit without Disc on 79 War with 2800 AC was 2100ish Casts Venom Blast Snared/rooted

Rampages, Enrages Didnt notice max hit on him too much combat text as i tanked them both at the same time both immune to Dulcify though the add was not.

    Second 2 Named

Basically same as the first 2. Although a much tougher pull. the 2 named were next to an add that was immune to Dulcify also and when i peeked in thier room there was another immune hiding around the corner. I managed to pull the named and the add that stood with them which was way too much to keep up with passed the adds death. So, I killed the add and prayed for Second Life on my shaman to pop. Thank Cazic it did!. With 60 seconds of my sissy shaman being invulnerable, his tank dead, and his healer dead i logged him out. Logged him back in and was left with the trash on the left hiding round the corner and the 2 named. Pulled trash and 1 named added. This was easily taken down. Killed final named and used campfire to turn in. Great XP got me 150 Orux and Amiable with the merchants!

    Find your way to Thalassius
    Kill Ulthagor Polaris
    Kill Wulthin Unagi
    Kill Rak'Tharak
    Kill Salashar the Blade
    Speak with Flora Venloe

Wulthin & Salashar are before you get to underwater part. if you take the west passageway to get to swimming part, you'll take them out.

doing this right now with L75 group (bst, war, wiz, shm, clr & mnk). definitely helps to have monk pulling once you take elevator to get out of the water, as mobs down here (yellow con'd experimental kedge champions, etc.) like to hang in packs.

Rak'Tharak is/was red con. Ulthagor is/was red con.

didn't think to check con on prev 2 mobs until i came here to read up on this while we were swimming underwater, sorry. yea! just completed. took us just under an hour to finish :)

It is an instanced zone, with no repops.

To get to the first set of namers, head into the northern tunnel then bear west and then south, they are just south past the statue room. To get to the second set, continue south through the water tunnels, then take the lift up one level, you will find them in the central room close by.

Kedge models and blob models see invis, I'm fairly sure nothing else did.

Reward is either faction or orux, not both.
