Lenka Stoutheart takes a jagged scimitar out of a wrap and lets you hold it. You feel as though it is linked to the spirit world. Lenka grabs it back. 'No, no! You cant keep it. But I can tell you there are plenty more weopons and armor like this. Just have to do a little dragon slaying.'
Bronto Thudfoot says 'No way, Lenka! This place is too dangerous for this kid. Why don't you just stay here and drink it up with us? the Samson couldn't even brew bog juice right, but every once in a while a bashed-up explorer comes in carrying [Cabby Pale Ale].'
You say, 'What is Cabby Pale Ale?'
Bronto Thudfoot takes a bottle from his pack and shows you. 'This is Cabby Pale Ale. CPA for short or, as they say in lizardtown, Cabilis Pale Ale. I got it off a drunken dwarf. He said he bought it off a dark elf. Where he really got it, I am not sure.'
Lenka Stoutheart says 'I hear they sell the stuff in only two places. Lizardtown and Neriak. Hmmm. Now, why is that?
You say, 'What is lizardtown?'
Bronto Thudfoot says 'Just like it sounds. A town full of those lizardmen called Iksar. I thought they were extinct along with raptors, the Combine Empire, and cheap booze.'
You say, 'What is lizardtown?'
Lenka Stoutheart says 'The trackers of Firiona Vie have come back with reports that the Iksar are back in force and have a city somewhere in the heart of Kunark. There goes the neighborhood...again.'

You can buy this Ale from vendors in the Field of Bones, Cabilis and Neriak, but giving it to them does not get anything. I was led to believe that this quest resulted in a scimitar ( as this is what Lenka shows u in the first place). Asking her about the cabby pale ale, however, yields no answer. I spoke to one of the two dwarfs in the same room and he gave me a response. he said something along the lines of - ''I have some cabby pale ale, it is great''. I think he may want some more.
Has anyone tried buying some CPA and giving it to him to see what happens - i will try this later if my wood elf druid is able to buy it in field of bone without being butchered by the local iksar mafia.
I hope a good race can buy there, coz if only an iksar can then why start the quest in a good outpost where an iksar can't go without some major faction work???????

in east freeport in the bar by the docks. these two NPCs are there. but not all the time. i had read this forum after talking to them in FV. i saw that it was unsolved so i forgot about it. then running around FP getting brewing skill up i went in the bar and there they were.
they had nothing to say to me, but i came back like 15min later and a gnome and dark elf were there instead.

A guy spawns at night in the bar in cabalis. You give him 4 of these ales and he burps in your face and mentions the Blue Talons. The bruisers of the west side. Fist and Mind is their motto. Try asking about this stuff?

Is there a way to brew CPA? Perhaps that is what is needed.

yes you can brew it but you must be an iksar, my skill is only at like 50 and i have no trouble making this at all. all the components for it are in west and east cabilis and then in FoB good luck with it it is easy to make and gets you drunk quick lol

One of the vendors in Fungus Grove also sells this. I cant recall which but there are only around 10 vendors there so it shouldnt be tough to figure out =)

If you ask Bruno, he says that he got some from a drunken dwarf (Trumpy?) who had gotten it from a Dark Elf. He then says that CPA is sold only in Neriak and Cabilis. If you ask Lenka more questions she says that the Iksars have built a new city in Kunark. This quest must have something to do with a DE/Iksar alliance.

Well im an Iksar myself and i say KILL ALL DARK ELVES! The only ones i would side with are our troll brothers, Cazic Thule created both of us y'know.

It is Lenka who mentions the abby pale ale in brackets, but if you ask her 'What cabby pale ale', you wont get much of a response. However, asking Brunot the Ogre 'What cabby pale ale', gives the info you need to continue the quest. (I cant remember but there was something about a thief or something)
