This may sound like a silly question, but why is there no dialogue from Scout Treekill in the quest write - up? In the description it says he starts the quest, and if you go to the page for him it has no further info it just leads back here.

Ask Glinya Sweetpie about Treekill. and she turns angry and says "Treekill!! I do not want to see nor hear of him. He is always trying to impress me!! I finally told him that I would walk with him if he could bake a Burynai Bunt Cake." Ask her 'what is a burynai bunt cake' and she says "Burynai Bunt Cake? There is no such thing." Ask Treekill about the cake and he is, quite obviously very anxious to get his hands on one to win the ladies hand. He promises to reward you with a helm he got from a bard if you bring him a Burynai Bunt Cake.
It has been confirmed that this is not a quest at this time, but is simply a storyline. Thus, there is no reward available. Need all dialogues, /loc of quest mobs. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

My Monk did this quest two weeks ago. the Cake is foraged... ...Unfortunately the Mask He got wasn't Monk useable >> So I deleted it

I was reading on some bard site a while ago that had a chat log of the person and a designer or someone discussing all sorts of things about bards; when asked about the bunt cake he said that it was simply a storyline type thing; not a real quest.

The previous guy is right, Abashi DID say that. It's just a little storyline to add flavor.
However, Rhoninn is also right. I foraged one with my Iksar, too. Again, this was a while ago, and I'm sure I dropped/deleted the cake. My main is a druid, I'm used to foraging all kinds of crap, I usually drop it unless I need it.

Abashi posted on the EQ boards that there is no such item in the game; Glinya Sweetpie really is pulling Treekill's leg, and it's not really a quest to be completed.

I have foraged a burnyai bunt cake in the field of bone with an iksar shaman i had made, this was about a month ago.

Btw: I went inviso and checked out that oven in Droga. It's a standard 6 slot, incase anyone was wondering. There were some rumors about needing a 10 slot oven to make a wedding cake. May go back inviso and look for small bags on the ground, sometimes you find notes/journal entries.

If the bunt cake was foragable at one time it no longer is.
Treekill mentions an oven in Droga that would be a good place to look. No kunark baker knows how to make a Burnyai Bunt Cake or sells baking books describing it. (Checked cabilis and FV with questions: What is a Burnyai Bunt Cake, How do you make a Burnyai Bunt Cake)
A birthday cake is baked by combining a clump of dough, frosting, winter chocolate and a cake round
Burnyais drop Jade magna (or something like that).
Guesses:
- You can bake a burnyai bunt cake by combining a clump of dough (maybe frosting), Some number of jade magnas, and a cake round in the oven in Droga
- Some mob in Nurga/Droga drops instrustions on how to make the cake
- Some baker not in Kunark knows how to make it
- Quest is broken
