This solo task begins with Sid Hacke, a vendor found on the island of Jardel's Hook at the outpost near -1640, +3300.

    You say, 'Hail, Sid Hacke'

Sid Hacke says 'Ahoy landlubber! Me current wares be feeble, but ye look hale and hearty. Ye will [help] me!'

    You say, 'I will help'

Sid Hacke says 'Aye. I be needing some [supplies] that can only be found on [deadbone reef]. The reef ain't safe for man nor landlubber like you, but I'm willin' ta gamble with yer life, if ye be. Har!'

You say, 'Tell me about deadbone reef'

Sid Hacke says 'The reef it be a frightful place. The least of the threats be the cannibals on the land, and the sharks in the water. The dead that be drowned there be cursed to stay in the water. Their unrest causes them to do they best ta sink any that come by, and they have added many ta they numbers. Ye watch yeself when ye there.'

You say, 'What supplies do you need?'

Sid Hacke says 'I be needin' all sort of stuff from that cursed place. Meat from the creepy crawlies that roam the beach, fins from the mighty sharks that roam the reef, and the little heads the cannibals be fond of. There even be some ships that sunk on the reef, and though their dead be restless, ye might find some worthy booty from them. And then there be the dead themselves, they be a menace. Perhaps ye can return some to their watery grave while yer gatherin' me supplies. Be thee [willing]?'

    You say, 'I am willing'

Sid Hacke says 'Arrr! Ye be as brave as me thought ye were. Choose ye task!'

You are offered six tasks, one of which is 'Shark Meat'.

You have been assigned the task 'Shark Meat'.

Sid Hacke would like some supplies for his business. Gather some intact deadbone shark fins.

Loot 7 Intact Deadbone Shark Fin from sharks in the waters of Deadbone Reef (The Buried Sea)

Reefrunner drops the Intact Deadbone Shark Fin but it doesn't credit toward the total for the quest. It has to come from one of the non-named sharks.

We set up on the shoreline at +2866 x -4149 x 308 and pulled to just off the shoreline shelf in the water.
The sharks have horrid pathing issues especially with the z axis, where they can hit you, but you cannot hit them.
You almost have to fight them under the water for melee, but spell casting will land on them from the shore, as well as heals on your tank.

Be careful about pulling them too close to the shoreline, if they get in the shallows, not only will they get stuck, but your tanks will have targetting issues with the whole "in the water" versus "out of the water" problem.

+3553 x -3996 x 296 is an approximate shark spawn point. This is your safest bet with the fewest or least chance of adds.
If you are doing this quest for a single player or a duo, this is not too bad, sometimes they will chain spawn, sometimes will take up to 10-15 minutes to spawn.
If you are doing it for a full group ..... well pack a lunch, you are going to be here a while.

Reefrunner (yellow con at level 76) spawned close to the above listed /loc easy pull and kill, dropped the Salt Encrusted Cloak.

IMO all other shark spawn points in or around the ship wrecks just were not worth the fustration or effort (not to mention skelly adds). So far this has been the worst part of this quest and I wish the Devs would looking into unsticking the stuck sharks, fixing the pathing of the others, and all around general hard look at the coding for these mobs.

Good luck, hope this was helpful to someone.

This is a pain. The pathing of the sharks will cause then to get stuck close to the beach. I found the best way was to find a spot in the water outside the normal pathing and pull them as far from the beach as you can. An EB item is almost a must because you will be fighting under water.
