Captain Pete is located at about -1500, 3415 on the island of Jardel's Hook in the Buried Sea.
You say, 'Hail, Captain Pete' Captain Pete says 'Ah _____! I'd heard ye were on this island. Surprised I've heard of ye, eh? In my business it pays to be informed. Well, it used to anyways. Ye see ever since the [wreck] I've been a bit on the outs with people round here.' You say, 'What wreck?' Captain Pete says 'We was sailin over near the island called Maiden's Grave ye see. There be sirens on that island that got the better o' me and me crew. Most of the crew died when the Wretched Sands went down, but me and a few others managed to make it to shore. If'n ye thought the sirens were bad while ye were on a ship its nothing as to how bad they are if ye set foot on their island. I was the only one to make it offa there alive. And that's what got me inta me present problem. The way I sees it there be only one [thing] fer me to do.' You say, 'What thing?' Captain Pete says 'Well, there might be [two], but I figures I needs to bring the remains of me crew back to their families. If they see I care about me crew, might'n be possible fer me to assemble a new one. Problem is I ain't going back to that island unless I'm dead meself. This is where you come in, if'n ye catch me [drift].' You say, 'I catch your drift' Captain Pete says 'Good man! I'll be here when you find their remains. There's no telling what happened to their corpses so ye'll have to search most of the island more than likely. Best of luck to ye me hearty!' You have been assigned the task 'The Lost Crew'. Captain Pete would like to repair his reputation with the families of his lost crew. Search for the remains of his crew on Maiden's Grave and return any you find to him. Collect the remains of four sailors and return them to Captain Pete 0/4 (The Buried Sea) Sailor's Remains drop off cursed sailors, a cursed pirate and tortured sailors on the Eastern Beach, just south of the Shipwreck on the eastern shoreline. You can also sometimes find them roaming the nearby ridges above the tidal pools where the Sirens roam. Some remains are also ground spawns. Below are some map locations of the ground spawns. They look like 3 bones. I've searched all over Maiden's Grave and have not received an emote and seen only one pirate skelly. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Don't worry about killing the skellies. I have yet to see them drop any.
Look around the island, and the small islands around it. But you have to keep a keen eye. When they spawn, they are tiny little strips of white, kind of like beastlord claws sticking up.
I found most of mine on the little islands to the south, at the top, hiding by the plants. Another by the siren pools along the hill. There are several spawn spots, but it seems only a certain amount can be up at once. So just keep checking the sand, and you will come across them. Once you find one, it will make the search easier since you know what to look for.
But don't expect it to repop in the same place again. They usually turn up in one of the other spawn spots.

Just had two sailor remains drop off the skellies on the beach.....didn't update the quest.
I noticed the same thing. So I went back and re-read the quest. Unlike the previous quests here I noticed it said "Collect...and Deliver..." Instead of employing separate task completions like the earlier ones.

I triggered the emote and spawn for sailor's remains on main island, 2-3 times, and COULDNT find the bones ANYWHERE. But, everytime I triggered the emote/pop on outlying islands or outskirts/shoreline of the main island, they were there, hard to see, but definitely there! Is this a bug? Also, the sailor's remains from the Cursed Pirates and the Tortured Sailors work for the hand-in updates?

At various points on the siren island you will get a emote. It seems the 2-3 on the main island are bugged, and when you get the emote, it spawns under ground. There is atleast 3 on the outer islands that seem to work well, all on the tops in the green grass. When you get a emote stop and look around on the ground to find the bones, they look like 2-3 little white spikes. They seem to be 10-15 min respawns.
Also you can kill the cursed pirates on the east side of the island and they randomly drop peices, really no need to do this, you can just get the ground spawns.

It might be a problem with the graphics, but the remains look like a miniature pile of bones. So if you get that yellow text message, look very carefully around for 2-3 small white colored bones sticking out of the ground.
As I was running around the main island, I found one near some enticers, one on a ridge, and twice on one of the outlying islands.
Your task won't get updated till you turn the bones into the Captain Pete.

I believe these are ground spawns, I got the mission and as soon as I got to the southern island of the group I got an alert that states You notice what looks like a pile of bones nearby, althought I didn't find them yet.
Edit: looted a Sailor's Remains off a cursed pirate, but it didnt update the task.
Also drops off a tortured sailor.

Of course, if I had read the task it says you have to give it to Captain Pete, which I did, and got credit...man what a day...grin. Definitely drops from cursed pirate.
