Ok here we go again !!!
To SAVE yourself a lot of grief, running back and forth, to collect items, it's STRONGLY advisable to get ALL of Botanist Bazuu AND Cook Idraik's quest before you do any of them.
All INFO on any of their quest (3 per NPC) are INCORRECT.
All the items you need drop off ANY Bixie in the zone so, while hunting for the heads, in 1 of Idraik's quests, which seem to only drop on 2nd floor, you will get other items also.
The drop rates vary in both number and type from mob to mob but, ANY Bixie in the zone can drop.
If after you get all the heads, you still need items, you can stay there or go to a different area of zone and kill ANY Bixie !!!
SORRY for all the confusion.
It's totally mind boggling the crap that people post on this site that have no bearing on quests!

Botanist Brezuu says 'Yes, that's what I call them anyway. Gorgeous plant granted with the most beautiful purple [petals] you've ever laid eyes on. They seem to be somewhat rare. I've only seen a few of theme, and only some what near the hive entrance. They must be cultivated by the Bixies.' You say, 'Petals?' Botanist Brezzuu says 'The petals are what make this flower truly unique. Their shape allows them to trap both water and small insects to feed upon. Unfortunately, I've been unable to collect a good [sample] on my own. Those dratted Bixies don't seem to like me much.' You say, 'A good sample?' Nothing happens after you say "sample." I found the sap in 'a fungus patch' (mushroom clump containers) in Stone Hive. Should be much easier than killing mobs.

I found these to more commonly drop from the gardener bixies (botanists, pollen collectors, blossom tenders, etc.) outside the hive than from the plant monsters outside. I got this quest along with the ones for the seeds and petals done for two level 40 characters in less than an hour.

Lol, did this quest last month---All month.
Got quest as lvl 28 Rogue, started killing mobs listed here :

Took over 3 weeks to get 10 Symplokiss Sap.
Killed literaly hundreds of mobs.
Was lvl 42 at turn in :(
