Ulan Meadowgreen is located (119, -2192) in the centaur encampment in South Karana.
You say, 'Hail, Ulan Meadowgreen' Ulan Meadowgreen says 'Greetings. I am Ulan Meadowgreen of the family Meadowgreen. My brother and I are the best armorers in all of Norrath. We craft [armor] for the bravest warriors in the land. If you are a warrior of renown, and are interested in our armor, I have some mighty [labors] you might wish to attempt for me.' You say, 'What labors?' Ulan Meadowgreen says 'Only those who can prove themselves mighty warriors deserve to wear our crafted armor. While my brother prefers trophies, I seek instead tasks which will help my craft and my people.' You say, 'What armor?' Ulan Meadowgreen says 'I smith [bracers], [greaves], [pauldrons] and [breastplates]. My brother Shakrn smiths helms, gauntlets, boots and vambraces.' You say, 'What breastplates?' Ulan Meadowgreen says 'Deep within the depths of Castle Mistmoore lives a particularly deadly clan of werewolves. These are the servants of [Mayong], and he has enchanted the most ferocious of them that their talons might cut through steel. I wish to study these talons, and see if I can transfer the enchantments from them to the crafted armor I make. If you bring me werewolf talons and 3 [rubies], I will give you a breastplate, the likes of which you have never before seen.' You say, 'Who is Mayong?' Ulan Meadowgreen says 'Mayong Mistmoore is the ruler of Castle Mistmoore. He has ruled there for centuries, and will most likely rule for centuries more to come. It is said that he does not age.' Rubies may be purchased from several merchants. A Werewolf Talon drops from gypsy musicians in the ballroom area of Castle Mistmoore. Upon Handing in three rubies and a Werewolf Talon: Ulan Meadowgreen says 'Wait, ______, are you not forgetting something?' Ulan Meadowgreen says 'Wait, ______, are you not forgetting something?' Ulan Meadowgreen says 'Wait, ______, are you not forgetting something?' Ulan Meadowgreen says 'I am most impressed that you have returned from Castle Mistmoore with a werewolf talon. when you ask ulan about the quest he tells you its only the WWs in MM that drop em, he says its because the Lord of Mistmoore (Mayong) enchants the talons so they can cut through steel. So ther you go anyone who was wondering about weather or not all WW drop em.

can any class do these quests? can a non-warrior turn in the items for the crafted armor ?

Yes.
Most of these class armor quests can be done by non-class members.
Good thing, too, because I've done a full set of lambent, and have some of what I need for totemic BP.
The rubies, you of course buy. The werewolf talon do indeed drop in Mistmoore - I have one. And since I just started an ogre, heh heh. :)

Far as I know anyone can do quest. Only warriors can wear crafted is all

A good price from a vendor is ~130 pp, for a ruby.

Please people when you know that someone has been camping for a long time, don't pester them about when they are going to leave. Don't sit down next to them to "wait" until they are done. You might be waiting a long time and then the time it takes for you to complete your camp on top of that. The NPC will always respawn and will always be there. Just ask them kindly if they will send you a tell when they are done and 9 times out of 10 they will. These players are tired from camping that long of a period and quite understandably a little grouchy and become extremely nervous at the thought of someone possibly stealing their kill. So, be courteous.

Can no one read? Am I the only one patient enough to browse thru these remarks? If one DID read thru here, one would discover that the GYPSIES of MM drop the talon, ARE WW's at night, and around lvl 33-38. Rubies cost near 132PP depending on faction and charisma.

You can resize certain pieces of crafted in West Commonlands near the INN that Gix spawns by. There are two dwarven NPC's. Talk to them to get details. I think they only do the bigger peices like BP,Vambraces and legs. But still you can save some weight that way.

I had them do my Gauntlets & bracers...so I think they do it all, but make sure you talk to them first as one does certain pieces and the other one does the others...would hate for any one to give there prized crafted to the wrong one :o)

If you ever need gems for anything you can get it from Felwithe (HIGH ELF HOMELAND) Look for the Female High-Elf merchant between the two fish stores by the water before you hit the tunnel that goes to the High Elves casters area. So if you are an evil race.. sorry

There are tons of places to buy gems around Norrath. So all you evil races dont fret I know that Neriak has a good selection.

It can be done in West Commons by a dwarf standing outside an inn near the lake.

Is the talon no drop or lore? where do the rubiesd drop? what class can make them?

The talon is lore and no drop. The rubies can be purchased in Felwithe, Cabilis, Erudin, Ak'Anon, or Qeynos and probably a couple other places - but not Freeport FYI. Best price on rubies is 131p 6g or theeabouts.

I killed a werefolf today in commons, it double hit me for 45's when I was sitting down. I crapped my pants and got up and fought it, it was blue at 25 and didn't get 2 bubbles off me. Didn't drop a talon either so it must just be the MM ones.

It's actually not werewolves at all that drop these. Gypsy dancers and musicians in Mistmoore drop them.

When I did this quest the other night, the gypsies/werewolves were all blue to me at 36.
And a note to all my brother and sister warriors planning on doing the quest: when handing in the three rubies and talon to Ulan Centaur, MAKE SURE the name in the trade window is his. I got a bit impatient and when I hit the trade button I didn't even get a thank you message! Realised I had the centaur foal that spawns right next to Ulan targeted; I had clicked him accidentaly. Suffice to say I killed the lil bugger fast as I could, but all he dropped was ONE RUBY. So there goes a few day's work :P *sigh*

The Werewolves in the Karanas and other places will not drop the correct Talon. Only the Werewolves in Mistmoore will drop the proper one. The Gypsies that become Werewolves at night will also drop the Talon during the day when in Human form. The Gypsies are in a room which is VERY hard to break up. They are clustered together in a dining room tpye area past the main gate and entrance hall with Deathly Harbingers and other assorted nasties all about. Harmony is a must in this area, as is pulling the creatures one by one. If you get a train, you and anyone in the path will die quite quickly. These Gypsies also drop some other nice items like the Mistmoore Battle Drum (from the named Gypsie), and the Gypsie Lute for the Lambent Breastplate Quest. You will usually find Deathly Ushers around that area, also. The Ushers sometimes have Black Silk Gloves which are used for the Lambent Gauntlets quest, and can be worn for the DEX bonus as well.

There like level 20+, never killed one myself but I helped a 24 paladin once, and he was down to half heath by the end of the battle. Ask around in the karanas, you may be able to fine some to sell them to you.

you get the talon from the gypsy in Mistmoore. At night she turns into a werewolf. Not sure if you have to kill her when she is a werewolf though.
