WereWolf Talons drop off gypsies in MM i would say u should be lvl 30 with a group to get it. Regular gypsie WILL drop talons BUT they are more Common when they are a Werewolf.
The Result after u give correct Centaur he gives you a UN SIZED (no matter what size the person turning it in is) meaning every size can wear it piece of crafted in this case the Bp.
The Dwarfs in WC will ONLY re-size it to small can't make it medium and can't make it large ONLY small size. Make it small don't rlly expect it to sell easy best to just bear then extra weight if u want money back after u get better.

my pally was in mistmore and by chance got the talon. however it is no drop so i cant give it to my barbarian warrior. he can only where a large bp. if i do the quest with my high elf pally i think i may get the small size bp. can this be multi quested..ie.. i give the bp and my friend that is a barbarian shammy give the gem? and if so who would get the bp the talon giver or the gem or last person to give an item. any help would be apreicieated.

i saw somewhere in WC i believe that u can give a certain NPC the crafted bp and he'll resize it for ya...just FYI
the cents only give med sized armor, small can get it resized in EC to save wieght.
Also, barbs can wear medium armor of all types. You should have been keeping him in medium all along to save weight. only trolls and ogres should ever wear large, and only because they have to.

I ran into two dwarfs in East or West Commons (cant remember) by one of the buildings and they said that they could resize crafted armor.

it is in WC i repeat WC that the dwarves are located that can resize your crafted armor. they are by the inn next to kizdean gix. Gix is about lvl 15 18 so dont worry. if you dont know where Gix is then it is near the TB (toll Booth).

Dont worry about kizdean gix my fat ogre ***!
stats on gix:
600hps (more then a normal 15 but not much)
Harm Touches for 200 (Hurts like hell)
DoTs for 300 (Hurts some more)
Dual weilds for 45 a peice (more hurt)
And makes a lvl 23, 150 dammge nuke do 30 (that means you can forget about nuking him if ur 15-20)
So dont go sayin Gix is a push over, however was good exp for my lvl 23 =P
P.S. if hes blue to a lvl 23, he isnt lvl 15

We raided mistmoore today and got i think 3 talons and 2 gypsie lutes with only 2 deaths, both deaths were lower lvl tagalongs. ended the raid with our highest member, a lvl 51 pally getting the hilt of soulfire.

I am a 17 War on povar and i was thinking if i could have my guild go in there and get me the Talon then all i hafta do i go to Felwithe and buy the rubies. If the Talon is no drop then i have to go in there and loot it?

I was in with my guild. Got trained on 3 times before we madeit into room and died. once we got into room it was all much easier. Make shure it is daytime get your whole party invised and work your way into room sit in the corner across from piano in the lowered section in the middle of room the only aro you pick up there is what is in the room. it was a pain and I had some help,but we got what we were after and no death after we finally go to room

This is no dought the hardest piece to get im just going to buy the friggin thing im lvl 37 druid trying to get this and i was grouped with a lvl 30 worrior and 28 or so worrior adn we couldnt do it then a lvl 58 pally came and helped us we broke the room and was doing ok then the lvl 28 or so HAD to see what was behind the double doors!well... guess what was behind it!

Day1: I have been trying for some time to get one of these Talons and have had no luck. Ive gone in with a group of 5 around lvl 35 and well all was fine untill we tried to pull the gypsies in and the whole castle decided it was time to teach us a lesson about entering Mistmoore.
Day2: The lower lvl's in my guild got together and we were around lvl 30's but there was 8 of us so we slowly made our way up to get the talon and I told them about what happened last time so we cleared everything out in the room in front of the gypsies facing the entrance and when i tried to pull the gypsies again outside about 25+ monsters came tumbleing out and well i died so fast that i was loading to zone ebfore my health bar went down from full to 0.
Is there a safe way to pull the mobs without having at least 20+ monsters.

any chance the werewolves in commons drop the talon. then it might be easier to get at level 25. From your posts, im actually just going to buy the brestplate if i have to go to mistmore, this is my only character (lvl 19 warrior) and dont have anyone to go in to kill the gypsies for me.

No sorry, the werewolves in Commons do not drop the talon needed for the Crafted Breastplate. You can only get it from either the werewolf, or Gypsy Musician in MistMoore.
The talon is a NO DROP item from the gypsy/werewolf in MistMoore, and the ones that drop off of the werewolves in Commons aren't.

Well, considering the dusty breastplate can only be worn by dwarves, gnomes, drow, halflings, wood elves, and high elves, some warriors have little choice except to buy or quest for the crafted tunic.

I was able to solo the entire castle front end as a necro. Every now and then I would get 2 adds from roamers I would just root or feign and let pet take care of. Also word of warning turn pet taunt off. If they hit you when you pull them and pet taunts the pathing is real bad they will run around greens that would be blue to the pet and you will get a massive train.
My main method of taking this was root and BoD and Pact whenever pet was low. I had Acid blast up to help with multis and Feign and Harmshield is a must.
51 Mage? I doubt you could. If you get an add you beter rpay the mob dies fast by pet or they will stomp you into the ground. I would get 3mobs and feign or root but a mage might get nuked to death by the high lvl casters or die by melee. These guys hurt near castle =)

My guess about the level 25 thing is that either at lvl 25, you can buy one of these breastplates, or at lvl 25 you can actually enter the castle and hurt some of the mobs...Of course the mobs in here are in their 30's, but I believe that (according to what people have said) you can pull them one at a time with either harmony (druid) or charm (enchanter). If done carefully and planned out then I'm guessing that a lvl 25 warrior in a well balanced group, including a druid and/or an enchanter, might be able to pull one of these gypsy/werewolves out to a safe spot and kill it and loot a talon. Either that or the gypsy/werewolf mob is lvl 25 so they just said you have to be 25 to kill it :)

Actualy there are many lull spells that will work. harmony has an aoe to it but any of them will work

Maybe they're just messing with everyone's heads. They want a level 25 warrior to march in their and get romped, or a 25 group to go in there and get splattered all over the mistmoor walls :)

A level 52 ranger and myself (level 49th Ranger) easily killed the entire room the other day. The key is going to other side of room and pull into that hallway. Very cake.

I was able to do the room solo as a 51 wizard by using ice comet and killing stuff in 1 shot before it aggroed anything else. You might have some trouble because if you don't kill it in one shot and your pet joins in you might get more adds than you or your pet can handle.

Getting the talon is tough, because unless you are a high level necro or druid, the gypsies call for a balanced group with either an enchanter or a druid who can harmony pull. Did this successfully last night for the first time with a 38 to 45 group of five. We took our time going in, pulling the spawns one or two at a time. With patience, you can pull that room one bit at a time, which is exactly what we did. Then we stayed there until everyone had talons. Bonus, we got some drums off Mynthi. 38 Druid, 45 druid, 45 Cleric, 45 Ranger, 43 warrior.

I was in MM with my level 47 necro friend and he took the whole room with little trouble (one at a time, mind you). I helped a little but I was only level 30 so I couldn't to too much.

that lvl is not right at all, me, a 30 warrior, 2 47rangers, a 34 warrior, and a 52 wizard couldnt take this room(damn pathing!) and we all died(exept one of the rangers because as he said"I know how to run like a little girl" hehe
25th level is a lie if you're talking about actually coming in here and making the kill. Castle Mistmoore is deservedly notorious for its trains and the sheer number of mobs you can pull down on yourself in the Piano Room is fairly amazing. With the low population typical in this zone lately, you'll need a full group of 35+ to get this. Bring an Enchanter.
The best way to get this drop, and the only way you're going to get it at 25th level, is with a guild raid or by following in the wake of a higher level party passing through. Since the Talon is an uncommon drop, a raid is your best bet. A set of people who can handle 10-15 30th level mobs simultaneously should have no problems raiding Mistmoore, and it can be a very profitable venture.

I would recomend a group unless I went the wrong way. I am a lvl 35 enc and entered with a lvl 35 mage there was no way we could make it alone

I agree, just went in there with (2) 35 warriors, 36 shaman, 41 pally, 41 ranger, and 41 bard ( I know that the balance is not good but not many peeps in mistmore these days) and we got our ****** kicked trying to get a talon for guildmate.

Have a full group for mistmore If you kill ww anywhere else we salute you for protecting norrath but you will not get your armor for it. talk to the vendors about the resize, they do different. Read below posts on who actually drops the gems needed. It will cost 130+, get someone that has high charisma and the SAME race to save even more. wouldnt hurt to ask for a charisma buff.
